Chapter 2767: Ragnarok V

The flaming chains slowly melted the skin of the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki. The power used by the God of War Ares is not inferior even though he did not descend fully like the Asgardian gods. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki could be seen to be struggling as he was now in a fight between four beings that could rival gods. The Goddess of Justice Nemesis is even using her own magic to restrain the feet of the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki in order to make sure that he does not get away.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki could not speak as he was struggling and the flaming chains finally melted the skin thoroughly. The God of War Ares would have celebrated but he knew that it should not be that easy. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki or rather its decapitated clone turned into ice and exploded. The explosion covered the God of War Ares and the Goddess of Justice Nemesis.

The two gods got encased in ice while Aurgelmir shielded the Ice Queen Elona from the explosion. The God of War Ares immediately exploded in rage as he tried to melt the ice that trapped him. The Goddess of Justice Nemesis used her divine power to cut away at the ice that surrounded her but both of them are essentially trapped. Aurgelmir wanted to save them but the ice explosion was not ordinary.

The ice that covered them is abnormal because it was still expanding as we speak. This means that it will continue to expand even if one melts or chips away at it. If the rate of melting that the God of War Ares could do is represented as two then the rate that the ice is expanding would be one. If the ice did not expand then the two gods would have already escaped from their entrapment while Aurgelmir could have saved them.

“AHHH! I almost died back there.” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki stated as he emerged from one of the large glaciers.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki knew that something was up which is why he never does anything risky. He knows that becoming a titan might help him overpower other gods but that is not absolute. The titans lost the war against the gods after all which is why he is always cautious. He would always create a clone every time that he could as he could escape and leave that clone to bear his burden.

“It is time to kill these gods. Well, both of you will not really die since none of you descended fully but destroying your forms here would render both of you weak for at least a few years. After dealing with you, I shall deal with the demons above as I need that rift to connect to Tartarus after all. It was such a pain creating that magic circle and it took most of my magical ingredients to do so.” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki stated as he basically knows he already won because he has suppressed two gods.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki did not even put Aurgelmir in his sights because he knew this Jotunn is currently using a massive amount of energy to maintain his current form. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki is correct though as Aurgelmir could only maintain his current form for at most twenty minutes. Aurgelmir instantly broke free from the ice that was stuck in his back and retreated with the Ice Queen Elona.

“Oho! You can still move, old man. I sense something familiar from you but I will have some use for a divine blacksmith. I need one to create weapons for my army after all this is over. One needs a large number of powerful weapons to conquer the world after all.” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki stated as he created two swords made of ice and stabbed them both towards the God of War Ares and the Goddess of Justice Nemesis.

The ice that encased the two gods did not crumble or break even when the ice swords pierced them. It was like the ice swords slid through the ice that encased the gods and pierced their bodies. Aurgelmir is shocked that the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki could do such a thing with ease. Only powerful and skilled Jotunn could do that.

The God of War Ares and the Goddess of Justice Nemesis did not die but they were gravely injured by the attack. The flames that the God of War Ares released is snuffed out while the Goddess of Justice Nemesis stopped chipping away at the ice around her. The two gods could be seen barely moving but they were alive. The ice still expanded though which means they would be encased in ice if they did not free themselves.

“You two are incredibly determined. I will give you that! Still, I never really tried devouring a god. Let me see if I can become stronger once I devour the two of you. I might refine the divine essence you used to create these avatars of yours.” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki stated as he then grabbed the two gods with the ice still encasing them.

“Stop!” The Ice Queen Elona shouted as she created numerous ice spears and launched it towards the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki.

“Pathetic, Ice Witch! My ice is more powerful that yours that is only derived from the power of a primordial beast.” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki stated as he ignored the barrages of attacks released by the Ice Queen Elona.

“Ignore this then!” Aurgelmir shouted as he placed the Ice Queen Elona on his shoulders as he released a breath filled with fire that is as hot as the heat of the ground below.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki could not ignore the attack of Aurgelmir because the flames he breathed out were not normal. They are flames used to create divine weapons which means it can hurt him or even burn him if he is not careful. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki could only drop the two gods and evade the flames in response.

“Seeing that you are going to make this difficult, blacksmith… I guess roughing you up a bit will not be a problem. Second child! Play with the blacksmith for me!” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki stated as the zombified World Serpent Jormungandr erupted from the ground to attack Aurgelmir and the Ice Queen Elona.

Seeing the other occupied, the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki immediately took out an item given to him by the Titan King Kronus. It was a glyph that has the symbol of Saturn on it which symbolizes the Titan King Kronus. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki immediately poured in large amounts of divine energy in his hand and then threw it towards the rift.

The glyph did not break even with the immense divine power that the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki used to reinforce it. It shot up straight towards the rift in the sky which made the demons want to stop whatever it is. The only problem is that all of the demons are occupied with dealing with the winged wolves. Even the Daemos Elders cannot stop it because they are also dealing with powerful beasts that require their attention.

“With this, the path to Tartarus will open and the Titans that are trapped there will be able to escape! I would have done my end of the bargain and the Titan King Kronus would surely reward me!” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki muttered as he laughed but the two gods heard him even though they were injured.

“Anyone! Stop that glyph!” The two gods wanted to shout out loud or rather they were actually fervently praying for a miracle.

It is quite ironic that two of the most powerful gods that can descend were now asking for a miracle to happen. Both of them know that a portal to Tartarus would not just release the titans but also the other powerful monsters in there. If that happens then the mortal realm will be at the mercy of the titans and the monsters trapped in Tartarus.

The two gods wanted to use their divine essence to create other bodies to intercept the glyph but that will not make it in time. Just as the glyph was about to enter the rift, a rather smaller rift suddenly manifested in front of the rising glyph. From that rift, a demon emerged suddenly felt the danger which is why he took out a sword and swung it towards the rising glyph like a baseball bat.

“Oops! I smacked it out of reflex. Was anyone actually using that for something beneficial?” Adrian stated as he emerged from the rift he created from Muspelheim.
