Chapter 2657: Four Demonic General Izanami

[You have killed Izanami who is one of the Four Demonic Generals of the Corrupted Yellow Emperor.]

Creepysoo, Hexy, Brew and Gourmet were all exhausted and tired upon defeating the Goddess Izanami. If not for their great compatibility and teamwork then they would be the ones being killed instead. All four of them actually worked great together despite the odd combination of the team. They could even remember how they first encountered the goddess that has gone mad.

They managed to encounter Izanami when she was in her rampage as her husband was killed. She could feel their connection instantly vanish as she wanted to go to the area where her husband was killed. Unfortunately for her, she was still under the complete control of the Corrupted Yellow Emperor. She could not stop what she was doing and then go towards her husband unless the commands of her master have been done.

Spurred by the death of her husband, Izanami started to quickly conquer all villages with a bloody hand. She slaughtered anyone that dared get in her way and incapacitated those that are somewhat useful. She did not just rampage without a thought but used her killing intent as power to subjugate towns and villages quicker than the others.

Just as she was about to conquer a middle-sized town, Izanami already felt that something was different. The town that should have not known of her arrival was eerily quiet. The people were nowhere to be found but a group of Immortals did jump her. She, along with some of the minions that were placed under her, battled these immortals.

These were the immortals that were part of the group where Creepysoo and the others are. Some of the immortals were also from the town itself as they were the ones guarding it. They took up arms against Izanami when the seal of the Murim Alliance was shown to them. Izanami is not an easy opponent for them though as she controls the magic of darkness.

She may look like a beautiful goddess but her own aura was like darkness itself. She used her sickles and created energy waves that pierces through the body using the darkness element. She could also travel via the darkness which makes her the perfect assassin. She was a being that looked gentle but will kill you if one makes her angry.

Izanami is also someone that grows stronger with more that she killed in the area that she is in. It is also the reason why she would always kill a certain number of beings in a town or village to make sure that she is always at full power. With the townspeople already gone, Izanami could not create an area that could make her powerful as there is no mortal blood to sacrifice.

Seeing that she cannot kill any humans, she turned to the immortals that dared raise their blade on her. She was about to proceed to use a powerful cleaving skill to delete all of the immortals below her but a piercing arrow made of darkness suddenly hit her shoulder. This arrow would have pierced her heart but Izanami was very reactive and easily blocked the arrow. What she did not expect is that the arrow would ricochet and hit her shoulder instead.

She traced where the arrow came from and saw a hooded being filled with death energy. She was about to follow the hooded being by traversing the darkness but strings suddenly appeared above her. A curse suddenly afflicted her which rooted her in place which actually shocked Izanami.

She should be immune to curses but something was different from this one. The curse was not made using the darkness element but with the death element. It pierced all of her resistances that would be able to destroy any curses that affect her body but it bypassed them. She looked up to see an illusionary undead hand attached to strings and rooting her body in place.

Izanami used her own specialized sight that turned her entire eyes into pitch black. She then traced the origin of the curse that affected her to a necromancer. She did not expect a being that could command death would be here in the eastern continent as the gates to the underworld are heavily shut and the gods of death are not worshipped.

“Pesky mortals! I shall kill all of you!” Izanami shouted as she activated her divine energy as she has trauma regarding death energy.

The Goddess Izanami is a goddess that was punished before and is killed. She was then sent to the underworld as punishment for what she did. The God Izanagi rescued the Goddess Izanami in the underworld but she was already deformed and no longer the beautiful goddess that she was once. Her true divine body got eroded by the energy of the underworld that her real appearance is now that of a half walking corpse.

Her adverse reaction to death energy is expected as she hates any being that can use it. She even vowed to make the underworld fall when she escaped it. She is one of the reasons why the Gods of Death in the eastern continent are not known or worshipped. She destroyed any resemblance of them in the mortal realm because she was envious of them. She might have been punished but she also succeeded in weakening the hold of the Gods of Death in the eastern continent.

[The Goddess Izanami has unleashed her real form.]

The Goddess Izanami now looked her real self as her beautiful vibrant dress became muddy and faded. The clean combed long hair became unkept and greasy while her body that was pale and smooth as jade has become darkened and corpse like. Her eyes that were clear and beautiful became dark and dreary as if she wanted to destroy the world that has ruined her.

[The Goddess Izanami will have double her stats for the duration of her realm form.]

“Death to all who defy me!” The Goddess Izanami shouted using divine energy which halted the immortals.

The Goddess Izanami suddenly created a deadly tornado made of darkness that could shred anything that gets in its way. She made sure that the tornado would hit the immortals fighting against her minions as it traveled to the location of her real target which is the one that cursed her. The immortals scattered in panic while the sand soldiers also took shelter as the attack of the Goddess Izanami did not distinguish between friend or foe.

“Just a dark tornado. I have the potion just for that!” A being riding a floating cauldron suddenly stated.

Brew riding his cauldron suddenly burst upwards as if the cauldron is propelled by an explosion. He then proceeded to take out a potion that glistened in the sunlight and tossed it towards the dark tornado. The potion got swallowed by the dark tornado and then exploded in the middle of it. A powerful blinding light was emitted from the destruction of the potion flask. The explosion of light then dispersed the dark tornado created by the Goddess Izanami.

“How you like the taste of my Legendary Potions!” Brew shouted as he felt powerful having one of his potions nullify an attack of a lesser god being.

“Pesky mortal!” The Goddess Izanami stated as she appeared behind Brew in a puff of smoke.

“Ah! Emergency Exit!” Brew shouted as he immediately used his life saving skill.

The Goddess Izanami was about to hack Brew’s body into pieces but the latter entered the cauldron completely. What the Goddess Izanami hit was the cauldron instead of the living being sitting inside of it. When the cauldron and the sickles of the Goddess Izanami clashed, a powerful repulsive force shot the cauldron away. It was one of the life saving skills that Brew can use as his cauldron is both his mobile transport and tough shield against powerful enemies.

“Impossible! How is that cauldron not destroyed!?” The Goddess Izanami thought but she was already surrounded by arrows made of death energy.

The Goddess Izanami slashed her sickle in a circle which created an energy wave made of darkness that destroyed all of the arrows aimed at her. Seeing that she could not kill the alchemist that destroyed her attack, she aimed for the necromancer that she sensed. She vanished in a puff of smoke and appeared next to the necromancer being protected by an undead lady.

“Die for making me relive my worse moments!” The Goddess Izanami screamed as her bloodlust is aimed towards Creepysoo.

“Gotcha!” Creepysoo stated as vines suddenly appeared behind him which tangled towards the body of the Goddess Izanami.

A small black being could be seen hiding in Creepysoo’s pouch. When that small being became large, it was none other than Hexy. She already filled the entire area around them with cursed traps that the surroundings could even be said to be her domain. As soon as they trapped the Goddess Izanami, Hexy started her curse galore as she always wanted to check what curses are effective against gods.
