Adrian’s quick thinking and almost unnoticeable spell casting made the man directly hit the barrier. The man was assaulted with powerful internal energy that ruptured his internal organs despite being a cultivator himself. One could even smell the scent of alcohol on him when he passed through which means he was likely drunk and did something stupid. Too bad for him that his stupidity also brought about his death as he now lays on the ground in a pool of blood.
“Apologies for such a scene, Lady Nu Wa!” The Emei Sect member stated as she did not expect that a drunken lunatic would try to attack the leader of the Ryujin.
“It is of no consequence as one of my attendants already handled it swiftly and carefully.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated as she looked towards Adrian as she was able to feel the mana flow from him.
“As expected of the attendants of the lady.” The Emei Sect member stated in relief.
“Well, she might be mute because of what happened to her as a child, but she is very versatile in using spells. Never mind that, did the barrier just outright killed the man?” Grand Mistress Nu Wa asked.
“I am afraid so as his cultivation was not enough and he was not lucid enough to protect himself. This is what happens to men if they forcefully enter the barrier. They will be reduced to such a state, but this is not the first time that this instance has happened. A lot of foolish men think that the stories about our barrier are just legends. There would always be one fool a month to try and enter our main sect area.” The Emei Sect member stated.
“Is that so? Anyways, such a barrier does not concern us because we are women after all. I hope that you would at least take care of the filth. Let us go now ladies. I am quite tired of the travel and need to rest.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated as she passed through the barrier with ease.
“As you wish, mistress.” The attendants replied while Adrian just bowed lightly.
The two attendants of Grand Mistress Nu Wa passed through the barrier without any problems. Adrian looked a bit rattled but proceeded to walk towards the barrier as well. Grand Mistress Nu Wa was ready should the barrier reject Adrian as it might have properties that can detect even transformation magic.
Adrian passed through the barrier with ease and there was no problem with the interaction with the barrier. Grand Mistress Nu Wa was slightly relieved as the barrier did not find anything wrong with Adrian. In fact, Adrian would have been fine because he already assessed and recognized the patterns in the barrier and found the secret behind it. The barrier does detect the cell of the body, but it detects for the actual outer features of the body.
“This means that there are ways to circumvent the barrier which is why they are still guarding the actual walls despite the barrier.” Adrian thought as he entered the barrier without any problems as his body was morphed down to the cellular structure.
“Hello, Lady Nu Wa. I will be the one that will escort you to your lodging. Please follow me.” An Emei sect attendant stated as she gestured for them to follow her.
Adrian made sure to observe the area as if he was a real attendant taking in all of the surroundings in search of danger. The main area of the Emei Sect is definitely like any normal town, but all of the stall owners and inn owners are women. This is definitely a paradise for women that have grown tired of men. Grand Mistress Nu Wa did say that some battered women or women that have lost everything find sanctuary here as they are well taken care of.
“It seems that the sect itself is not operating under the guise of the Kami organization. Still, it is too early for me to judge which is why investigation needs to happen. Sirius, go and see if there are hidden pathways underground into any of the establishments here. Make sure to always hide in the shadows and not have your presence be detected.” Adrian commanded as he walked close to a slightly dark alley and a part of his shadow detached.
“As you wish, master.” Sirius stated as he scurried away.
One might think that walking would not get the attention of others, but a very beautiful lady accompanied by three beautiful attendants are eye-catching even to a sect only consisted of women. There are many eyes that eyed them in amazement, jealousy, and some even with attraction. Fortunately, the women did not dare to cross paths with them as they were escorted by an official of the Emei Sect.
“This will be your place of stay at the moment. I hope it suffices for Lady Nu Wa as the main building is not ready for visitors at the moment.” The Emei Sect attendant stated as she gestured to a beautiful pavilion that even has a large fountain and garden.
“Can I ask why the main building is in chaos at the moment?” Grand Mistress Nu Wa asked innocently.
“Apologies, Lady Nu Wa. Only a few elders are there at the moment and most of them are out fixing the problems with the barrier. The elders that are left are busy with fixing the sect as most of it has become chaotic during their seclusion training. We shall invite Lady Nu Wa to the main building once we have cleaned up but that might take a day. Please understand.” The Emei Sect attendant stated as she gave a bow towards Grand Mistress Nu Wa.
“I understand as the continent is very chaotic right now because of an evil organization. Please understand that I only asked out of concern. You may resume your duties to your sect as we will rest for now.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated.
