Just as Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated, the artifact did release her dragon fear in bursts every few seconds. Any monsters that are affected by her dragon fear would run far away in the opposite direction. The travel was quite quick as the lotus flower stage is quick and efficient because it uses the elements at its fullest to traverse terrain.
“It seems that we have been seen. Be ready, my cuties. Also, make sure to act mute our cute mediator. I am afraid that you might speak out of turn given your personality.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated.
Adrian got the rundown of the Emei Sect as they traversed the forbidden zone. The Emei Sect is a sect founded by a very powerful Ascendant Immortal Female Cultivator. It is also the only sect in the eastern continent that only takes in female cultivators. Also, all female cultivators that wish to marry must leave the sect as they do not allow males inside the sect itself. Still, there is some flexibility in this as they can have subsidiary sects where married Emei Sect members handle.
The lotus flower stage carefully landed outside the gates of a large sect where a golden tower with intricate carvings could be seen. The actual sect building of the Emei Sect is created around this golden tower. It is said that this golden tower gives out pulses of pure internal energy which helps in the cultivation of people. It is also the reason why a lot of cultivators visit the Emei Sect even if they are only allowed on the outskirts.
As soon as the lotus flower stage reached the ground, a group of female cultivators wearing plain grey robes arrived. These are the people of the Emei Sect as they stand for solidarity and fairness. They believe that dressing flashy or colorful only prevents one from reaching the top of cultivation. One could say that they are equivalent to monks as they also practice restraint and care for the natural environment.
“Greetings, Lady Nu Wa! We did not know that you will arrive.” One of the Emei Sect people stated as they gave a bow towards the Grand Mistress Nu Wa.
“I shall have to apologize for that in my end because times right now are very chaotic. I just wanted to visit the Emei Sect as it is one of the sects that my husband protected over the centuries. He believed in the creed of your sect, and I also believe that there should always be a safe haven for women in the harsh lands of the eastern continent. So, are you not going to invite us?” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated.
“We are so sorry to keep you standing for this. Please follow me so that I can send you to the accommodation. Please forgive us if the main sect cannot spare any of the resources to attend to you now. There is currently a problem with the formation in the outskirts which is why the elders are currently repairing them. They might not be able to greet you for at least two days.” The Emei Sect member stated.
“It is of no worry as we are only stopping by for a day. We have been checking on other sects of the eastern continent to see if they are safe. Apparently, the Murim Alliance has been targeted by a heinous organization. They even killed some of the high officials there which is why everything has been in chaos.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated checking to see if these people know anything about what is happening.
“That is terrible! The elders did say that we will no longer be part of the Murim Alliance a month ago but our relationship with them is still bound by oath. The fact that they were attacked is devastating news for us.” The Emei Sect member stated without any lies or rather she cannot lie because she was not fed with the real truth of the matter.
“Why did the Emei Sect want to no longer associate with the Murim Alliance? I am troubled by that myself as this opens your sect to hostile forces.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa asked.
“All of the elders have just returned from their closed-door cultivation and have found the new generation of disciples lacking which is why they told everyone to return. All of us are now back in the sect and currently undergoing rigid training but it also exposed that some of the defenses of the sect have deteriorated. We only temporarily disbanded from the Murim Alliance, but the elders said that we will return once everything is in order.” The Emei Sect Member stated as they were now in front of another gate where hundreds of female cultivators stand guard.
The main gate of the Emei Sect as they call it is a large stone walled gate where there are multiple points of entry. Each entry is guarded by at least twenty cultivators that have different weapons in hand. Also, Adrian could feel it from the outside as a barrier formation is deployed on the ground in front of him. The barrier formation itself was so grand and powerful that they did not even bother to hide its energy signature.
“Please head to the entrance first. Another member shall escort all of you to the temporary quarters as I am in charge of keeping the peace in this area.” The Emei Sect member stated.
“Thank you for your hospitality.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated as she took a step-in front of the barrier, but something happened before she could enter it fully.
“All of the hot babes will be mine!” A lecherous man shouted as he charged with full force towards the barrier.
Adrian wondered what a barrier that rejects men could do which is why he actually enhanced the speed of the man. Instead of crashing towards Grand Mistress Nu Wa, the man crashed towards the barrier instead. As soon as the man came in contact with the barrier, his entire body suddenly trembled and blood came out of his nose, ears, and mouth.
