“If that is what the mediator wishes then I guess we must agree with his intention. He is also the only one that could lead us directly to the hideout of the enemy. The location of the Black Tortoise of the North is relatively known.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated.
“How will we split the team though? Do you have any idea?” Peridot asked as she looked towards Adrian.
“I can go to the enemy’s hideout alone if there are no problems.” Adrian suggested as he planned to enter the enemy base alone if he could.
“I think I would be the best one to accompany the mediator in his excursion to the forbidden zone where the Emei Sect is placed. I can even say that I am there because I am just checking up on all the people of the Murim Alliance and the eastern continent.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated as she was the perfect one to visit because she is a woman and they never turn down woman visitors.
“Are you sure that only the two of you can handle it?” Grand Master Fu Xi asked as he was worried about his wife.
“I mean if Equinox is fine with it then he can handle it. Our only problem now is to catch up with the people that are going to the northern area where the Black Tortoise of the North resides.” Levin Cloud stated as he was not the least bit worried about it.
“I agree. I think it is already overkill with just the two of them.” Peridot nodded which made Grand Master Fu Xi a bit dumbfounded because he can accurately feel the power level that Adrian exudes.
Grand Master Fu Xi tried to probe deeper into Adrian as he did not believe that the two of them would be enough to handle the enemy base. When he tried to insert his aura into Adrian’s body, a being suddenly whispered into his ear.
“Careful. Stare into the Abyss and it stares back at you.” A voice so cold and dark stated.
Grand Master Fu Xi had to retract his aura as he definitely felt it and it was not just a hallucination. There was a being inside of Adrian which is most likely his own inner demon. The only difference is that he felt that the being before him was not that different from his own inner demon. In the eastern continent, succumbing to one’s inner demon would ruin them and they would turn into the inner demon themselves as their personality will be replaced.
Grand Master Fu Xi is shocked that the inner demon actually protected its own host. He also noticed that Adrian looked at him with a smile that was not a smile. It meant that the demon before him and the inner demon inside of him are one and the same. They were not separate entities but one and the same. A being that has truly fused with his own inner demons but is not on the path of bloodshed and rampage is not someone Grand Master Fu Xi has encountered before.
“Is there something wrong, husband? I am sure that both of us can manage as we are there to find something and not fight against the entire sect.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa asked as she could see that her husband is visibly shaken.
“Sorry. I was just too shocked that both of you want to undertake such danger with just the two of you. Maybe bring some of your attendants that are female as guards. They would more suspicious if you are the only ones there when you are there to check. The only problem is the mediator.” Grand Master Fu Xi stated as he changed the subject to Adrian.
“Me? Why is there a problem with me?” Adrian asked.
“The Emei Sect only lets women get inside of their main sect. Men can visit the area, but they are only allowed until the outer area. They even have a formation that repels men on the very walls of their main sect.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated.
“Is that the only problem? I can easily fix that.” Adrian stated as he suddenly transformed himself.
“WAH!”
Gasps could be heard from both his friends as they did not expect that a beautiful maiden would suddenly appear before them. Adrian suddenly transformed his body into that of a female, and he looked extremely beautiful. Levin Cloud’s jaw drops while Peridot suddenly felt that she was overshadowed as the most beautiful young maiden in the area.
“If the framework is already beautiful then it is obvious that the change will also result in something beautiful.” Peridot stated as she suddenly activated the screen capture function and took a picture of the demoness that Adrian has become.
“This will do as a way to enter right?” Adrian asked.
“Maybe lose the horns.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated as she suddenly locked into Adrian’s figure and form as if she knew it was a waste that the being before him was born a man.
Adrian hid his horns and looked extremely captivating but the looks from the guards made him feel the shiver in his spine. He immediately cancelled the transformation as he felt some form of danger. When he reverted back to his handsome self, the eyes of the female attendants were still glued onto him like a hawk. He then remembered that dragons are always captivated by beauty which is why they like to take things that they deem beautiful.
“Do you not want to become my son?” Grand Mistress Nu Wa suddenly stated.
“You already have one there though.” Adrian replied as he pointed to Levin Cloud which made both him and Peridot blush.
“I mean like a son in blood. I can turn you into a Ryujin just like Peridot.” Grand Mistress Nu Wa stated as she was captivated by Adrian’s handsomeness and beauty at the same time.
“I am good. Thank you.” Adrian replied as he took one step backward.
“Ehem. I think we should get moving as per what Equinox said. They are already ahead of us in terms of distance. The masters might need some time to prepare as well.” Peridot stated as she sensed that Adrian was giving him the look for help.
“I can send you guys to then northern area where the Black Tortoise of the North is. I already encountered it once when I visited. I think I just need to recalculate the coordinates since the world expanded since then.” Adrian stated.
“How long will that take?” Peridot asked.
“About half an hour or so.” Adrian replied.
“If that is the case then I think we should prepare. Please proceed with creating the portal.” Peridot stated as she dragged the others to prepare.
It seems that the stares did not leave but it was now milder than before. Adrian suddenly felt like the Ryujin wanted to dress him up and admire his looks. He ignored the stares and just focused on his task as he does not want to send them to a far location from the current location of Black City. The Black Tortoise of the North should act like the other Four Cardinal Divine Beasts. It will not leave its city even if it knew that it could die.

Chiyou and the others managed to return back to their hideout which is under the Emei Sect. He could see the large golden pillar stuck into the earth. This was the heavenly cudgel of the Divine Beast Sun Wukong. It is still the same even numerous years have passed, and it has not weakened in its sealing of the corrupted Huang Long. A deep hatred could be seen from the eyes of Chiyou as he stared at the heavenly cudgel.
“I have finished bandaging the wounds, Master Chiyou. Do you need me for any other services?” The Emei Sect cultivator asked as she gave a flirtatious look towards Chiyou.
“I am tired for now. I will call upon you if I need anything else.” Chiyou stated.
“If that is your will. I shall excuse myself now.” The Emei Sect cultivator stated as she left the room.
“Pathetic. This body that could not even hold its own against divine beasts. When I was a god, those divine beasts squirmed beneath by very feet. Now, I am just a weak mortal that has been getting injured with things that can easily be recovered when I was a god.” Chiyou muttered as his eyes cursed the heavenly cudgel.
The heavenly cudgel is currently the last seal of the Seal of Four Directions. It is the physical manifestation of the seal that the Divine Beast Sun Wukong implanted. Only he could actually take it out and the heavenly cudgel will not obey anyone else other than its own master.
“It took quite a number of Seers sacrificed but we finally found a way. It will just take a little longer.” Chiyou muttered as he looked at the deep purple flames burning in the main room.
