Chapter 2580: The Suns Fall II

The door of the second floor suddenly morphed into a large slime monster that caught those that tried to enter. Dodu transformed into the door to the second floor and caught all those that tried to enter there. The unfortunate ones that are caught by Dodu could be seen screaming in pain as they struggled to escape from inside Dodu’s body.

The sight of them slowly losing strength and their bodies being dissolved by the most harmful plasma body is not a sight that one can easily endure. The enemies that tried to use the second-floor door suddenly found themselves slowly going away from it. The ones caught could not even be heard when they screamed as their bodies dissolved into nothingness.

“It’s the demon!” Tai stated as he finally knew who is the being that is guarding the tower.

“Tai! Watch out!” Vixen warned as Charon appeared next to Tai in an attempt to chain him up like the Immortal earlier.

Vixen managed to create a spell and let it pass through her magic fan. Pinkish flames suddenly erupted from Charon’s location which made him retreat. The magic flames that Vixen used had the holy attribute imbued in them which is very harmful to undead. The magic flames also destroyed the chains that tried to bind Tai up.

Due to Vixen’s interference, Tai managed to move and react faster. Tai clenched his fists and then tried to punch Charon. The silver armguards that have the power of the White Tiger of the West activated. A silhouette of the White Tiger of the West is created as Tai proceeded to release a punch towards Charon. The silhouette is not just mere effects but actually part of the attack as it is an energy projection of the weapon itself.

Charon actually got pushed back and the other Immortals followed up in their attack against him. The enemy Immortals knew that letting such a dangerous undead will get them killed like one of the strong ones earlier. They need to contend with the undead that can bound them in chains. A lot of the Immortals imbued their weapons with internal energy as they aimed it towards Charon. Internal Energy or qi is also effective against undead, and they believe that this will definitely kill Charon.

Charon looked like he was in trouble which is why he suddenly reached out deep into his cloak. Charon then let everything loose as he peeled back his dark cloak and made the area explode into chains. All the Immortals were caught up in this attack but that also meant that Charon would have a difficult time regaining his form. This skill is basically an area of effect bind that traps every being that is hit by it.

The Immortals thought that they are safe because they are only bound and only have slightly been damaged by the undead. The real terror actually emerged from the shadows as Sirius in his full form started his killing spree. Tai wanted to help the Kami members, but Vixen stopped her as they have pressing matters to attend to.

“I will deal with the wolf. Go enter the pagoda while it is distracted with the others. Go!” Vixen stated as she conjured numerous fox fires and sent it straight towards Sirius.

The fox fires moved like real nimble foxes and danced around Sirius which made the latter react a bit late. Vixen smiled as she could see that Tai was already within arm’s length of the door and only needed to destroy it. Vixen thought that they have won when she saw the black wolf looked like he was smiling.

“Tai! Get away!” Vixen shouted but she was too late.

Tai gathered his qi into his fists and tried to destroy the pagoda door to send a message, but he did not expect what happened next. The door that he was supposed to destroy suddenly flew towards him instead. The door is not the only thing that flew towards him, but arcs of lightning directly hit his body which sent Tai flying away. A loud roar from a white tiger suddenly echoed as its entire body is covered in lightning.

Vixen regrouped with Tai as they thought that the soulbounds of the demon would attack them, but they suddenly saw all of them halt. The soulbounds that were defending the tower suddenly grouped up. A large amount of energy suddenly exploded from inside the pagoda and the entire first floor suddenly vanished.

“It took quite a long time to send that entire space into a special dimension.” Adrian stated as his figure can now be seen as a demon with cosmic insect armor.

Tai and Vixen suddenly found themselves dumbfounded as all their efforts suddenly went to waste as their hostages vanished. As soon as the entire first floor of the pagoda vanished, the powerful cry of the Vermillion Bird of the South echoed as it burned more of its divine energy. The golden flames that covered its body became shinier as if the sun itself has descended from the skies above.

The Vermillion Bird of the South and the Three-Legged Crow then clashed with one another with the former slamming the latter down directly at the pagoda. The Three-Legged Crow screamed in pain as it got sent crashing to the ground and dying. The Vermillion Bird of the South enlarged its wings to show dominance, but it was already incredibly weak from the attack it just did.

“Did you really think that it is already over?” The corpse of the Three-Legged Crow suddenly spoke which shocked the Vermillion Bird of the South.

“Heretic!” The Vermillion Bird of the South shouted as it located the puppeteer of the enemy corpse.

The Vermillion Bird of the South blasted a tornado of flames towards Chiyou, but a golden barrier made of eastern runes protected him. Tama could be seen reciting some sutras and created the barrier that protected the being that dared to defile the corpse of a divine beast.
