Chapter 639: Arrival
There was a momentary peace and silence all over the world.
Never before was there ever a time when all the Earth watched silently on the screens.
There was only the sound of the naive and uninformed children who played in their respective places, as they appeared to be camping.
News crews and civilian journalists who were brave enough to go out and witness the fall displayed various broadcasts and channels.
The ministers of Christ were all over the news as they were given platforms over all the other religions and spoke of the signs and wonders that would befall the world.
The hour had come.
Darkness and gloom filled the skies as several large rocks could be hurling down to Earth.
Meteors were falling, and the entire world was preparing for this battle.
Every nation braced themselves to see if they were the target. But even if they did not become the target, the terror that would follow still offered little hope for survival.
The war against the Presiders would follow if their nation were spared from the meteors.
With that, the world watched in silence. Every nation had its own devices that observed the high skies to calculate the fall and impact of the meteors.
But among the world was a certain country who viewed it above all.
As the Jewish race was gathered and gathered in continuation of Pridgeon's plan, he collected some of the brightest inventors and physicists scattered all over the world and equipped them with great technology. The Jews prospered and grew increasingly arrogant and wicked as the Unlocked Armies planned.
Many meteors took aim for this place and were slowly moving towards it.
Watching the far regions of New Jerusalem over a Sky Satellite was the Gryphon Squadron.
Their commander, Ivan, observed the ship they would ride.
Together with Fish, they made more changes to the ship even as the hour approached.
"The battle is about to start. Everyone, we have twenty minutes of free time. Whatever unresolved issues you have, you better finish them now. Fish, Ivan, get ready and make your last call. Just trust your instincts, Fish. As our pilot, you must be more confident in your flight." Lim spoke strictly as she moved to the other side of the room to observe the exoskeleton modifications being made to her suit.
Epic and Will were together and deciding what final techs to add to their respective Exoskeleton Suits.
Each suit was worth billions and would surpass the cost of making three stellar operational jets. They were custom-made, formed with their own cells that had undergone numerous chemical changes, and blended with metal to allow them to merge and reappear with their bodies.
The shrinking technology of Shackstress, paired with the cellular technology of Gardo, Meng, and Amir, had created a growing and repairing metal.
In fact, they could now be reshaped to change forms, and almost everyone took advantage of the living A.I. programmed by Lennox.
"The Charge and Deploy system is incompatible with carrying these weapons," Epic sighed as he held onto a large cannon blaster.
"That contains pure cells of Meng. The desolation will eat it all up. Obviously, you have to carry it." Will answered as he continued to modify numerous devices.
"Have you ever imagined this? A few months ago, we were just some people tossed in a strange submarine. And now, we are considered world-class chemists and physicists, so we can alter the weapons we like." Will laughed as he kept tinkering with a strange bottle containing a delicate mixture. If he made a mistake, the entire ship could become a place of horrors.
The mixture turned red and finally became stable as the blood won over the beast.
"There... Alphie. Your were-form potion is complete." Will announced.
Alphie was lost in her thoughts. She watched the skies and sighed.
"He has his missions." Suarez laughed as he noticed Alphie's longing eyes.
"I know." Alphie nodded again as she stood up to get the potion.
At once, the light on Suarez's ring began to glow.
"Hm...? Guys. Clear the room. General Rai will be directly warping here.
"Here?! How? We don't have a Void Realm Receiver!" Will exclaimed.
"Just do it, Will. This is General Rai, after all. Overcomers will naturally outpace our science, for this power is from them.
"How far are we from the moon, anyway? How can they make this massive-"
WARP!
A portal opened, and several men stepped out.
Lowengren, Rai, and Gardo appeared from the wrapped path that led to the Void Realm.
"General Lowengren! General Rai and Gardo!" Lim was surprised that the three arrived.
"...? Zeek?" Alphie was stunned as she looked at Lowengren.
"Oh boy." Suarez sighed as he chuckled at Alphie's reaction.
But Alphie didn't hesitate as she ran and leaped in the embrace of Lowengren.
"Alphie! Have you gone insane?!"
But surprisingly, Lowengren welcomed the hug.
"...Amazing. You found out!" Seeker laughed as his face began to change.
Everyone was startled. They were Unlocked and could tell the difference in minute changes, yet they failed to recognize Seeker.
"Sorry. I had to do this. I found the right opportunity to switch and assume Lowengren's form up there. I had to do this since we are allied with several... doubtful people." Seeker explained.
"Wow... I can't believe I was tricked!" Lim was astounded.
"Me too. My eyes could tell people apart down to their very cells. And since I have studied the dragon's cancer cells, I can easily spot mutated forms!"
"Don't beat yourself up. Several Overcomers have been deceived. Eagle didn't even notice it, and he is like the aspect of honesty." Gardo chuckled.
"Yes. It's proof that my powers to deceive have reached a level similar to Lowengren's. Lowengren is not here. He is inside the matrix of another. Harker and Lowengren are planning something and will be sabotaging Marrho's attack. The two Presiders we allied with will work with Marrho for this battle and believe that Harker and I had entered the Matrix world that Marrho created in the dimensions beyond."
"So the old switcharoo..." Ivan asked.
"Yes. I hopped and became lightning piggybacking on Lennox's prompting and took over Lowengren's position as he warped out. To the Presiders, they thought I had moved in. I was doubtful if I would manage to play a convincing Lowengren. Still, as Lynd Meryl and even Eagle were deceived, I'm sure they don't have the slightest idea. I presented myself as Lowengren to keep an eye on those two," Seeker explained.
"So you will be fighting like Lowengren?"
"Until I ascertain with my eyes the actions of these two. Right now, there is a ceasefire against one of the strongest Presiders there. Marrho, Pridgeon
Erm... Alphie, let go. It's about time for us to act, " Seeker said, his face reverting to Lowengren.
"It looks like our Presiders are starting. Marrho's on the move. He is bent on attacking Pridgeon. Porrelom and Haresha will aid him as part of our ceasefire agreement," Gardo observed.
"I already had Richie make a broadcast." Seeker watched.
At once, all of Earth heard the voice.
"Based on our calculations, the regions where the asteroids will make landfall are Central Russia, Western India, Australia, Brazil, Southern Africa, the western regions of Canada, Korea, Spain, One China, and New Great Britain. We have also received information that the aliens are infighting, and one wishes to conquer New Jerusalem. Brace yourself, O people of the Earth. Let us stand and unite, and we can repel this alien threat! May God be with you!"
The voice shot out worldwide, and the alarms in those respective countries started.
Weapons of Mass Destruction were all revealed as these countries prepared to shoot at the incoming threat.
Stellar capable jets began to launch and prepared for the ascent to space.
The Unlock armies also began to move.
Mobile fortresses emerged from the sea and began to take flight.
The newly formed Confederate, comprising South Pacific United, Pangea, and Australia, revealed the giant fortress rising from the sea. It took parts from the fallen ships of Shackstress and Garenjazz to create a gigantic ship that surpassed the great mammoth buildings that the World Governing Powers once built.
Lioncourt watched as the broadcast of this humongous and once-hidden fortress was revealed.
"Well? Did it spur some changes?" Lioncourt asked Arthur.
"... some. It managed to convert about two percent of Australia's destined traitors," Arthur added.
"Ugh... So, massacre is the option? I've done my part. If these people refuse to repent, it's on them." Lioncourt gave up.
