Chapter 638: The Absurd Request
Lowengren continued to laugh at his request.
"Are you… serious?" A tired voice asked.
Harker's top fighters and Hero of Hellion's Tragedy were there.
"You know when they are serious when they ask impossible or insane things like this." Zidane of Harker's trio sighed.
"It seems that there is a ripe opportunity for us." A beautiful woman smiled at the side.
Rai turned to the beautiful woman and five young adults in the room.
"Your family, Eagle?"
"Yes."
"They all have your path... Impressive. More than Inhumans, but below Ranked Heroes."
"You heard that kids? Rai just called you Heroes!" Eagle laughed.
The men all had proud expressions while the girl blushed.
The Eagle family were all present and had their respective Inhuman gears, radiating with powerful radiation, indicating their powers.
Rai could see the tremendous reflection within the room.
"I thought you have six kids." Lowengren frowned.
"Well, you know, David. Just like his name, he's the family's black sheep."
"Now that's a little harsh." Lowengren frowned.
"No. There's something over in that room. The kids here have the power of attraction. Gravity, magnetism, orbiting... Each manifests the power strongly. But I sense a tremendous power at work in the other room... That kid... Heh. He could give me a run for my money."
"Really?" Eagle was amazed.
"I don't know how to hit someone I can't reach. Your so-called black sheep is quite strong." Rai chuckled.
"Just like King David, our little David is perhaps the only one who could reach the realms of Overcomers in my family." Eagle smiled.
"Are you sure about this, Eagle? Your family doesn't need to fight in this battle."
"Oh, Gardo. I know your heart has weighed since the deaths of your friends. But more will happen soon. As for my family, we had long set in our hearts to be called into the ministry. Our little black sheep eventually returned to us and now serves the Lord. But Jeremiah 16 has already been fulfilled. And I shall remind you of its promise. 'Behold, I am sending for many fishers, declares the Lord, and they shall catch them. And afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks.' The age of preaching and luring people with the Good News is over. The new wine has arrived. An age where the Fishers of men will no longer be in ministry, but the time when the Hunters of the Lord shall be called. We are the New Wine. And so, my sons and daughter will be the first fishermen to hunt in this new era!" Eagle smiled.
Gardo remained silent but could not help but glance at the family, who seemed perfect. They wore their smiles not as a mask but like a brainwashed cult. They had given in and thoroughly believed in the truth of their calling and wore it proudly.
"In any case, I trust your insane request has a bearing, Lowengren? And it seems you are not affected by my powers now."
"That little trip up in space changed us all the more. Seeker wanted another go at you, but there was no time for this. So, can you and the kiddies do what I ask?"
"Hmm... That would require me and Lennox to use a lot of our resources! It would take up a lot of Origin Energy to resist the defenses of pulling something like that down. And since you want us to do this after stopping a huge meteor, it seems taxing. Why do we need to pull it down?"
"To attack it, of course. That ship has many great technologies that we could claim. If it crashes, it would greatly damage the numerous fortresses. Everyone expects to invade Earth in there. So if we bring it down and attack it, we could gain a huge base and assimilate it with our many bases."
"What about the Principal?"
"He generally doesn't care. The battles and skirmishes we had up there grew chaotic, and even yesterday, a clash we had with the Mid Tiers resulted in a large hole that tore down all the way to the inner layer. But even then, the Principal didn't care. As long as we don't attack the room, the Principal is bound by laws and rules prohibiting him from attacking us."
"I see. More living metals for us to use! That's indeed a very profitable battle."
"It's not just metal. The Orbital could fuse and even grow and create new regions of snow, desert, and grasslands because everything in it was alive. This answers how they can create planetary weapons like that. Earth has already been estimated to have lost half of all mineable metals. But now, it's more alive than the life on Earth. This orbital heals itself."
"Sounds like something ripped off Final Fantasy VII." Eagle thought out loud.
"Yes. We need it. We need a ship like this if we want to prepare for a future battle where we leave for Aragar."
"I see… I wonder why Arthur has not suggested this. He should have already seen this."
"Hmm…I doubt he did. Before we left for this place, Vender suggested this out of the blue."
"...Oh." Eagle didn't know what to say.
"Yeah. So tell Arthur about this because he doesn't know about this. Whatever Vender's Path is, it grew stronger. The crazy things we saw up there prove that Vender's suggestions could prove crucial."
"The battles are about to start… That Vender should really improve his timing! We could have known about this earlier!"
"I think he timed it perfectly. He's very weird, but he's very important. Had he suggested this any other time, we believe Fate and Destiny would have moved. All that's left is our commitment to do these things..." Lowengren explained.
"With hours until the meteor falls. What a plan..." Eagle could only sigh.
A throne appeared as the metals were attracted to the Eagle.
The throne was made of gold and glowed as the Eagle sat on the Throne.
At once, the power of gravity began to move.
The fluctuations of gravity created minute changes in the sky.
But with it was a message that only someone with perfect calculation could see.
In the sky satellites over the Pacific Ocean, where Arthur believes Alean had vanished, Arthus sensed the changing fluctuations in gravity.
Arthur saw the skies and could read the secret messages that were impossible for the common man and extremely difficult to see even for Presiders.
"That... bastard!" Arthur cursed.
"...But he's right. We have to do it." Arthur sighed.
Richie and the Seven Notes were watching with Arthur.
"What's going on? Did Seeker and the gang do something crazy that will practically throw away everything we have planned?" Richie asked.
"Exactly that. I pity the parts of the world. But it seems we will have to leave those nations to their battles. Our new mission is to pull down the Orbital, invade it, and take whatever we can."
"We have to what?"
"Pull down the Orbital."
"Why?"
"Materials. That Orbital will forever fix our little resource problems. From what Seeker and his team find out, the metals, stones, soil, and everything in the Orbital are living things that grow and reproduce. As such, having a huge slice of that pie is necessary."
"And we're attacking it now... because?" Owens asked.
"Ugh... It's actually ingenious! Why didn't we think of that?" Sammy had an intense expression.
"Fate and Destiny. See? We are but toys that they play within this battle. We never thought of it because we couldn't. The Bible calls it the Wisdom of God to have such things and know how to act at that moment. This idea was hidden from us. Unless we break the dimensions and fight against the sealed thoughts and ideas, we would have to rely on the crazy antics of Vender."
"What are you guys talking about?" Richie frowned.
"The Orbital will have little to no defenses. All the Presiders will be abandoning it in haste. We can find numerous fortresses to take if we bring our numerous giant fortresses there."
"Exactly. Give the command, Richie. Have the Emperors allied to us to take their Many Mansions and have all our mobile fortresses on standby. We will be capturing that Orbital!"
