Chapter 1376: Unexpected Accident (Part 2)

Chapter 1376: Unexpected Accident (Part 2)

“It’s seriously insane. I have seen many wars in my long life, and not many of them were on such a level where even Rank Five Core Evolvers fought to the death,” Sylvan said as he looked at Evan.

“Do you know what was common among all the wars of this level that I have witnessed?”

Evan shook his head at Sylvan’s question and looked at him curiously, waiting for him to continue.

“All of those wars lasted for a long time. Those high-ranking Core Evolvers fought day and night, but even then, the outcome of the war was only decided after many days or even months.”

Sylvan turned to look at the ongoing battlefield before them, where demons were now falling one after another after Turoon had joined the dragons’ side.

“But here, from the looks of it, this war will be over in at most a few more hours.”

Evan sighed when he heard Sylvan’s words and looked at the dead demons with a sorrowful expression.

“Good old days when people had a lot of stamina. But this new generation… their bodies are completely hollow from the inside. Even that Molar, who was a Rank Five demon, only lasted a few minutes. I am worried that at this rate, none of them will be able to find a partner.”

Black lines appeared on Sylvan’s forehead as he gave Evan a speechless look.

“Seriously, is it necessary for you to say stupid things all the time? I am being serious here.”

Evan rolled his eyes at Sylvan’s annoyance and replied casually,

“Why are you getting worked up over nothing? So what if this war ends early? Wasn’t our goal from the very beginning to weaken the forces of the demons and bring this war to an end?”

Sylvan opened his mouth to argue, but no words came out because Evan was right.

It was just that he still found it hard to accept that such a large-scale war had ended so easily.

Although he knew that the main reason for this outcome was the absence of a Rank Six Core Evolver on both the demons’ and dragons’ sides—something that had allowed them to freely create chaos within both camps, it was still difficult for him to believe that a war of such magnitude could conclude so quickly.

“You don’t need to think too much. Once all the Rank Four and Rank Five demons die, we will collect their bodies and return home.”

Sylvan took a deep breath and nodded.

Suddenly, he seemed to recall something and asked,

“There are actually some high-level vampires fighting alongside the dragons. What should we do about them?”

Evan’s gaze swept across the battlefield, and he soon noticed two Rank Four vampires along with several Rank Three and lower-level ones fighting against the demons alongside the dragons.

He thought for a moment before asking Sylvan.

“What do you think about Alistair Nightfall?”

“The Dark Forest and the Blood Moon Empire are both located in the same Territory, so I have heard a few things about Blood Monarch Alistair,” Sylvan said, pausing briefly before continuing.

“He seems to be someone who doesn’t involve himself much in outside affairs. Even his relationships with other Monarchs and rulers of different kingdoms appear rather ordinary. If you ask me, we shouldn’t do anything to these vampires. There’s no need to incur his hostility when he has remained neutral so far.”

Evan and Ashley both looked at Sylvan as if they were staring at an idiot, their mouths twitching slightly.

’This old man’s memory is really bad,’ Ashley thought inwardly before speaking out loud.

“Have you forgotten that not long ago, we set a trap for Anderson and killed him, then pinned the blame on the demons? Once our existence is exposed, that will definitely happen when the war against Winterclaw begins, Alistair will immediately realize that it was us who killed a Rank Six Duke of his empire.”

“Ugh…” Sylvan’s expression turned awkward when he heard Ashley’s words, as he had completely forgotten about that matter.

Not only that, he also recalled that Anastasia had mentioned killing some vampires when she had gone to the Dragon Islands not long ago.

“This… why do I feel like we have already turned the entire world into our enemy?” He muttered, a fearful expression appearing on his face.

Baphomet was already their enemy, along with Eldrakar, the current ruler of the dragons.

Because of Anastasia, Akasha was also their enemy.

The Dryads were at odds with the Elves, so in Sylvan’s eyes, even Elististrea could be considered an enemy.

Winterclaw was their enemy.

Mythrenor, the progenitor of those long-eared bastards, was also their enemy.

And now even Alistair had become their enemy.

Didn’t that mean almost all the top-level powerhouses of Utopia were now against them?

Suddenly, Sylvan felt a strong urge to run back to the closed world of the Dryads and hide there for a million years before ever coming out again.

In fact, it wasn’t just Sylvan, even Evan and Ashley were left speechless when they thought about it more carefully and realized just how many enemies they had accumulated.

“I am working for world peace with everything I have, so why do I have so many enemies?” Evan muttered in a low voice, earning himself a barrage of curses from both Sylvan and Ashley.

A few hours later, almost all the demons had been wiped out by the dragons.

Since Sylvan had already injured all the high-level demons and Molar had been killed by Evan and Turoon, it was not difficult for the high-ranking Core Evolvers of the dragon clan to defeat the remaining forces.

Moreover, after Molar’s death, there was no one left to restrain Turoon. As a result, the battle turned into a one-sided massacre of the demons.

Evan descended onto the battlefield, looking at the tens of thousands of dead demons and some dragons, lying before him.

With a light tap of his foot, his shadow expanded like a vast night sky, spreading across the entire battlefield and covering all the corpses.

All the dragons and vampires were stunned as they watched the endless darkness swallow every dead body, and they couldn’t help but gulp nervously.

Because Turoon had already warned them not to interfere, none of them dared to stop Evan as he collected all the corpses and spoils of war into his shadow storage.

’Now it’s time to head back,’ He thought inwardly.

After giving Turoon one last glance, he was just about to leave with Sylvan and the others when something unexpected finally happened.
