Chapter 729: NASM - 729

"I never imagined I’d be this lucky these past few days. I’m just so happy! Right now, it feels like I’ve reached the very peak of my life. Everything is so wonderful, and I hope days like this can last a long time. But no matter what happens, I know the bond between us will only grow stronger and deeper!" Hiroshi thought to himself as he lay on the bed, looking at the decorations around the room.

Then he turned his head to look down at Harumiko resting in his arms. He noticed how incredibly beautiful she looked while she slept – her breathing was slow and steady, and there was even a faint, sweet smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

"She really is beautiful even when she’s asleep. She truly is like a little fairy. I find myself falling for her more and more every day. In this whole world, she means everything to me. I think this is exactly the kind of life I’ve always dreamed of!" Hiroshi thought to himself as he gazed at her face.

Harumiko really was such a wonderful girl. Whether in daily life or during battle, she always carried herself with such gentle grace, just like a fairy come to life. She spoke in the softest, most tender voice, and every little unconscious gesture she made never failed to catch Hiroshi’s eye and win his heart.

"I really am so lucky to have a girl like Harumiko by my side for the rest of my life. It makes everything worth it. But from now on, I absolutely must keep getting stronger, so I can protect her and my family properly. I won’t let anything happen that I’ll end up regretting!" Hiroshi thought to himself, a warm smile spreading across his face.

Hiroshi had always been a man of his word – whatever he said he would do, he always did. It was clear that he was someone who took his responsibilities seriously.

Just then, Hiroshi gently reached up with his free hand and brushed a stray lock of hair away from Harumiko’s face. As he did, he noticed her move slightly. It seemed this girl was quite light sleeper, and even the smallest movement was enough to stir her senses.

"I’ll wait until she wakes up naturally. Once it’s a little cooler this afternoon, we’ll go out and walk around together. Then tomorrow we can go and visit the Lake of Mirrors. I imagine there are probably quite a lot of people there right now – after all, since there are no more rooms available anywhere, most travelers have already found somewhere to stay for their visit."

"Just from what I saw last night, it’s obvious that this village has become a popular destination because of that lake. I really hope it turns out to be as beautiful and magical as we’ve always imagined it would be!" Hiroshi thought to himself as he turned his head slightly and looked out of the window.

Slowly, Hiroshi closed his eyes too. He was starting to feel quite sleepy himself – lying comfortably in bed like this, it was only natural to feel tired, and it would be all too easy to drift off if he wasn’t careful.

"I might as well get some rest too. We can go out once we’ve both woken up. I’m really feeling quite sleepy right now!" Hiroshi thought to himself as he closed his eyes.

And so, wrapped in each other’s arms, the two of them settled down for an afternoon nap. It was still quite hot outside, so they had decided to wait until the temperature dropped a little before going out – heading out now would have been far too uncomfortable, and they wouldn’t have been able to enjoy themselves properly.

Ever since she had fallen asleep in Hiroshi’s arms the night before, Harumiko had found herself growing to love this way of resting. It gave her a deep sense of comfort, and made her feel safe and protected like nothing else ever could.

They lay there holding each other for hours, sleeping soundly right through the middle of the day, and didn’t wake up until around two or three o’clock in the afternoon. By that time, the temperature outside had dropped considerably and was no longer as scorching hot as it had been at midday.

"Hiroshi... oh, he’s still sleeping too!" Harumiko whispered softly with a smile as she opened her eyes and looked over at the young man lying beside her.

She sat up carefully, then turned to gaze at him, taking in his features.

"He really is so handsome even when he’s asleep. I feel like he’s completely captured my heart. What’s wrong with me lately? Especially over this past year, I find myself wanting to be close to him more and more. And ever since I fell asleep in his arms last night, it’s felt so wonderful – lying there with him makes me feel so safe and secure!" Harumiko said quietly, a happy smile lighting up her face.

After speaking, Harumiko slowly got out of bed and walked into the bathroom. She tidied up her hair and noticed that her makeup from earlier had started to fade, so she carefully touched it up again – truly, girls really do love making themselves look beautiful.

"It should be much cooler outside by now. As soon as Hiroshi wakes up, we can go out and explore. I wonder what interesting things there are to see and do in this village!" Harumiko thought to herself as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.
