My Weekly Refreshing Mentor Spirit
Chapter 826 - 464: If It Were Xue Dili, He Would Definitely Do This
Proxima Centauri, situated within the Centaurus constellation of the Milky Way Galaxy, is merely about 4.5 light-years away from Earth.
Interestingly, Fairy Tale Star is located in the neighboring star system to Proxima Centauri, about 3 light-years away. At that time, the Mimic Venerable King, noticing the favorable feng shui, placed Fairy Tale Star nearby.
If, back then, Xue Dili had been leisurely driving the Celestial Thunder around Fairy Tale Star, perhaps he would have discovered Proxima Centauri where mythological creatures lived.
Thus, within just a 10 light-year radius, there are 3 Life Planets.
Although both Fairy Tale Star and Proxima Centauri appeared here because of their connections to Earth.
Xue Dili couldn’t help but sigh.
In his childhood, he also bought many popular science books like "One Hundred Thousand Whys," "Unsolved Mysteries of Science," and "Secrets of the Cosmos."
Even now, despite discovering that most of the content even according to Earth’s established science is just nonsense, made-up stories taking advantage of children’s ignorance, cloaked in scientific knowledge to deceive people.
The content is even more mystical than Detective Conan.
However, it truly inspired the five or six-year-old Xue Dili at the time. He remembers his father would take him to the library in the small town outside Xue Village, back when Jiang City hadn’t developed into its current shape, and Xue Village wasn’t bordering the city but was genuinely rural.
Back then, it was still 1 kilometer away from the town; his father would take him to the town library, buying a book on history and then taking him to the children’s section to skim other books.
These are among the few memories of his parents. Not long after, he encountered the forest fire.
Xue Dili read many books there, and even now, he can remember a bit, especially about Proxima Centauri, which has always been the most intriguing star to astronomers in the past century.
Because there is water, traces of life activity, and atmospheric components similar to Earth’s, even its gravity and rotation are not too different from Earth.
According to astronomers, if Earth People were directly sent to Proxima Centauri without any protection, there’s a good chance they could survive.
Though it’s somewhat exaggerated, it illustrates just how hospitable Proxima Centauri’s environment is.
In his childhood, he even read a sci-fi story called "Extraterrestrials of Proxima Centauri," which talked about aliens from Proxima Centauri going to America to capture people for experiments.
And now, mythological creatures indeed live on Proxima Centauri, giving Xue Dili a feeling of science fiction becoming reality.
Wait, if mythological creatures really live on Proxima Centauri, then the story about "Extraterrestrials of Proxima Centauri" may not be entirely fictional...
Xue Dili suddenly gasped, contributing to the warming of Proxima Centauri’s atmosphere.
Perhaps a mythological creature snuck back to Earth and was captured by the American government, locked up in Zone 51 for research.
Xue Dili thought to himself.
Now they are situated on Proxima Centauri, completely different from imagined, surrounded by a sea of flowers. Xue Dili feels like he’s truly walking in an ocean of flowers, with colorful blooms covering the ground, numerous small insects with triangular heads scurry through the flowers.
Xue Dili even noticed a plump triangular-headed insect perched on a flower, seemingly asleep. Thinking it was dead, he approached, but it warily took flight.
He finally realized that the creature had eaten so much it got tired, resting on the flower, and was again tempted by the nectar, continuing to feed.
"Is this Proxima Centauri?" Xue Dili sighed, gazing at the sea of flowers, it seemed untouched by insect attacks.
"Yes, this is our new home. The Divine Tree of the insect swarms have been enclosed by Chaos in a zone, and the remaining insects have been kept outside. Right now, we’re in a non-combative zone; if insects appear here, that means the frontline has completely fallen," said the Moon God, her words tinged with worry, yet she seemed to finally relax a bit.
"But now, since there’s no battle here, at least the frontline defense must be holding," the Moon God sighed.
Xue Dili nodded as well. The Moon God has quasi-Tier Five strength, though she isn’t a combatant, comparing to three thousand years ago during Ancient Greece, she was way more steady.
During Ancient Greece, she was erratic, but now she has a demeanor akin to an aunt.
Perhaps it’s maturity, or maybe it’s simply age.
From previous exchanges, Xue Dili learned that after leaving Earth, the Virgin Goddess married Orion, the renowned hunter of Orion.
Now, she, alongside Xue Dili and others who killed Zeus, has become a mother of three children.
Even her children have had children; she’s already a great-grandmother.
And now, it seems those old friends from Greece are not yet married, which made Xue Dili quite reflective, those Greek old friends working as mercenaries in America still haven’t married in half a year.
Perhaps resurrection changed many of their perspectives, or they might just want to enjoy life in America without marriage, considering Howard went bankrupt because of marriage and became a gigolo, facing steel wool curses daily was too shocking.
