Chapter 825 - 463: The Dwelling Place of Earth’s Divine Era Beings, Proxima Centauri? (Part 2)

Swarm, how is that possible?

After sharing intelligence with the Mimic Venerable King, Xue Dili realized that the First Apostle to the Sixth Apostle had all been consumed by the Mimic Venerable King.

And how could the swarm controlled by the Sixth Apostle still attack others?

Xue Dili immediately calmed down, knowing that if the Sixth Apostle was dead, the swarm would likely disintegrate and turn into chaotic disasters across the cosmos, transforming the cosmos into a sea of swarms, becoming a nightmare for countless lower-level civilizations.

But if the swarm was controlled by the Divine Tree, then the insects’ goal would change from reproduction to assimilation, converting other creatures into themselves, thereby becoming both a combat force and nourishment for the Divine Tree.

In other words, someone was still controlling the swarm, and their purpose might not be that complex; perhaps they simply wanted to acquire more Divine Tree Fruits.

Xue Dili thought of these things in an instant.

In the Moon God’s tale, everyone present gradually understood what kind of place it was.

After the end of the Divine Era, the Earth Consciousness, having regained control, directly imposed a Forbidden Magic throughout Earth’s Full Domain, rendering all beings unable to attain immortality in this world.

At this point, all gods from various regions faced the same choice: either leave Earth and seek survival elsewhere, or stay on Earth and endure a precarious existence.

Very few gods chose the latter; most chose to leave belief behind on Earth as a backup, and then willingly left Earth in search of better habitats.

Even if they failed in their adventures outside, they still had the last path of belief transformation.

Many gods ended up scattered in various places, perhaps becoming "outer gods" on other planets, or engaging in conflicts with local indigenous gods.

Over time, a group of gods established a new base in the outside world.

They gradually gathered other beings from Earth, making sure to stick together while confronting the challenges of unfamiliar territories, and many gods perished in the wild and chaotic expansion.

Ultimately, a planet named "Eden" became these gods’ second home.

Those gods who could still be contacted generally settled on Eden, whereas those who couldn’t be reached might have died in struggles against indigenous gods from other civilizations, or perhaps they were thriving so well they didn’t want to join forces for warmth.

So, after Eden’s emergence, they began to live harmoniously with the local life forms on this planet.

Since locals had not yet evolved into civilization, faced with a group of creatures akin to those from the Permian, the gods from Earth weren’t interested in competing for belief.

However, it was heard that in the East, the pantheon of gods enjoyed lecturing to those amphibious and reptilian alien animals, speaking of things like "teaching without discrimination, enlightening the barbarians," which seemed inexplicable.

These statements left other pantheons’ divine-era creatures scratching their heads.

The most absurd part was, they indeed seemed to achieve something, as some amphibious aquatic beasts on that planet had already begun to learn meditation and contemplation.

Xue Dili couldn’t help but be astounded upon hearing the situation on Eden Star.

Perhaps over there was the true prehistoric world...

Even the outcome for those divine-era creatures on Earth was entirely different from what Xue Dili had anticipated; he thought they might end up seeking survival in the cosmic wilderness, facing hunger or discovering new edible cosmic creatures where protein was several times that of beef.

But unexpectedly, instead of surviving in the wilderness, they seemed to have gone forth like unleashed mad dogs, colonizing other planets.

According to the Moon God, many gods initially kept in touch but later lost contact, presumably killed by local indigenous gods; yet most divine era creatures who ventured from Earth carved out their own territory on other planets, and many thoroughly integrated into local planets, becoming known as "Supreme Gods" by locals.

This meant many gods didn’t want to maintain contact, perhaps because they were too comfortable here and feared misunderstanding with their newly recognized foster mothers, eventually cutting off contact and fully assimilating as local indigenous gods.

Xue Dili: "emmmm..."

Perhaps their lives weren’t as bad as he had imagined?

This thought helped alleviate the slight feeling of guilt Xue Dili had for ending the Divine Era.

"Now that I know the problem there, I’ll head over directly," Xue Dili said.

"Need any help?" Hercules immediately got up, resembling a towering mountain at this moment.

In just half a year, this Ancient Greek Hercules seemed to have gained some weight.

Not only Hercules but other Greek heroes had visibly put on weight; some Xue Dili didn’t even recognize because they’d gone from 200 pounds to 400 pounds.

Hercules was only slightly plump and not to the extent of being unrecognizable.

Xue Dili had wondered about it before, but the reason was actually quite simple: these Greeks hadn’t had much to eat in ancient times, their era was marked by feast and famine, and they lacked sufficient spices and sugars.

In the modern world, sugar abounded, with fried beer and such consumed daily. Particularly, Greeks inherently lack the sense of moderation, and over time, their "true Ancient Greek" sculpted muscles began turning into fatty flesh.

Xue Dili: "..."

He estimated that in a while, these Greeks might actually become a bunch of obese households.

This was quite normal; even Fafnir, who had suffered from malnutrition since childhood, gained weight considerably after coming to Earth, though it was only her belly that grew while her chest remained unchanged. Earth provided abundant carbohydrates and fats, enough to feed many times the current population.

For those who hadn’t experienced such an era of material abundance, overeating was inevitable.

"No need, I’ll be back shortly," Xue Dili stopped other Greek heroes who wanted to grab their weapons.

The swarm was beyond their capabilities, even the previously singular Shabu Insect Race had been difficult to battle, not to mention if the Lord of Mist intervened, the swarm’s numbers would be far greater than those encountered during the Super Iron Curtain.

Moreover, under the reign of unity, the old friends had contributed their strength to Xue Dili.

Simultaneously, Xue Dili wanted to confirm the current status of the Lord of Mist, why was He able to command the Apostles’ clans?

"Alright!" The Moon God had no intention of hesitating.

She was seeking aid and wanted it as quickly as possible.

If delayed, it wouldn’t be a rescue team she’d find but rather a corpse recovery team.

At this moment, the elders of the Dragon Race understood the situation, looking at the Moon God and then at Xue Dili, before the Silver Dragon King stepped forward and suggested, "We’re also willing to help, the Dragon Race has records and methods for dealing with swarms..."

"No need, but I might need your assistance with research later," Xue Dili left the option open but declined the Dragon Race’s involvement in creating further disturbances.

Mainly, he was unsure about the situation on Eden Star and didn’t want to risk his long-lost kin’s lives, now that they had finally returned to Earth. Having their days go well was more important than anything.

"In that case..." The Silver Dragon King seemed at a loss, and ultimately said, "If you encounter any problems, you can consult with the ancient dragons in the Dragon Tomb. They might have methods unknown even to me."

"Wish you success."

Xue Dili nodded, he even forgot that the Dragon Tomb existed within his Magic Academy.

The Moon God provided Eden’s coordinates, and Xue Dili began calculating. After more than ten minutes, he suddenly slapped his head: "Where did I think Eden Star was; it turns out to be Alpha Centauri of Centaurus!"

Proxima Centauri is said to be the closest life-bearing planet to Earth, recently causing quite a stir among astronomers who claimed it to be a second Earth.

Turns out that area was the territory where you divine-era creatures were active?
