Chapter 991 - 994: Driving Him Mad

The butler: "...Did you forget what young master Jared instructed you? He wants you to make sure you eat well."

Timmy reluctantly leaned over his meal, thinking that once Melody Thorne returned, he would immediately stick to her, to avoid her going upstairs and not being able to come down, missing her meal.

When the two came downstairs, it was already nine o’clock in the evening. If it weren’t for Melody saying she was hungry, Jared probably wouldn’t have let her go.

On the sofa in the hall, Timmy sat fuming, his finely carved little face looking somewhat round.

Seeing the two come downstairs, he ignored them and turned his head away.

"Young master is angry again!" The butler chuckled, bringing out the warmed-up dishes. "Madam will be ready soon; I guess you two have been too busy these days to pay him any attention."

Melody gave a warning glare at the man beside her, "Be more restrained in the future. No more ’this and that’ before sleeping!"

If it weren’t for him, she would have come downstairs much earlier.

Jared: "..."

After dinner, Jared went to the study to handle documents, while Melody tried everything she could to cheer Timmy up but couldn’t make him smile.

Jenson Ona called, "Master, that Elias Hale ran away while I was asleep!"

Melody: "...Jenson Ona, are you a pig? Sleeping so early and failing to keep an eye on someone; now hurry up and go find him!"

"Yes, Master, I’ll go downstairs to look now!"

"Timmy, I’m going out for a bit. Something happened to your Uncle Elias. Are you coming?" Melody grabbed her coat and headed downstairs.

"I’ll go..." Timmy’s eyes sparkled as he snorted pretentiously.

Melody drove to the location that Jenson Ona had texted her. From afar, she saw Jenson’s men crazily searching the roads, making it seem like someone had offended him to drive such chaos!

"Tell your men to leave; do you want to attract Harold Chapman’s soldiers too?" Melody said, gripping the phone, staring at the burly figure outside the car window!

Jenson: "...Alright, alright, I’ll get them all away!"

Jenson withdrew everyone and leaned against the car window, "Master, that Elias Hale is too cunning, using drugs on me!"

After drugging him unconscious, he ran off!

"Which direction did he go?"

"Just ahead. It’s really strange; the guy suddenly stopped at the sight of a woman. He’s acting all dramatic; if I knock him out and bring him back, I’m afraid you’ll blame me, Master!"

"Why do you call my mommy Master?" Timmy squeezed his small face forward.

Upon seeing the cute yet aloof child, Jenson Ona’s eyes lit up, "Because she is my Master!"

Timmy: "..."

Melody got out of the car and walked up to Elias Hale. He was staring at a small path ahead, devoid of people!

"Elias Hale, what are you looking at?"

"She came back; I saw her return." Elias Hale’s dejected gaze fixed on the distance, "She came back but refuses to see me; she hates me to her core."

"Who is she?"

Elias Hale said nothing more, his tall figure enveloped in despondency.

Melody recalled what Leon Rivers once said; he mentioned that men act like this usually because of women!

"Is it a woman?" Melody speculated.

"Uncle Elias, as a man, I despise you!" Timmy raised his small chin, "How can you let yourself become like this over a woman? In your current state, any woman who sees you would probably run away, right?"
