My Seed Gives Systems In The Apocalypse

Chapter 204: Let Them Dig Their Own Grave!

Andrea’s eyes widened as she looked at the screen in front of her.

Her lips parted but no voice came out, and for a few seconds, it felt like she was in Dr. Stone and the green light had swallowed her whole, turning her into a statue.

Though, her reaction was understandable as...

[ Host: Andrea Wilson ]

[ Bully Target Slots: 1/1 ]

[ Target: Fredrinn Winchester (Romantic Partner) ]

[ ~Stats~ (Select to Expand) ]

[ Skills: 0 ]

[ Quests (!!!) ]

Andrea ignored everything, even the stats as she mentally ordered to expand on the blinking quests tab.

The glowing characters shifted, expanding downward into an official mission briefing that made her heart race.

[ Quest. ]

[ Let Them Dig Their Own Grave! ]

[ Requirements: Hold a conversation with the target and ask what sort of tasks the bully system can make the host do. Depending on the answers given by the target, do one of them on the target and play it off coolly as a trial. ]

[ Rewards: Awakening skill – The quality and the grade of the skill will be dependent on the host’s implementation of the task’s requirement. ]

The quest was diabolical... Truly diabolical as Andrea found it slightly funny and was excited to do.

Trick him into naming his own poison, execute it directly on him, and then casually dismiss it as just testing the waters? That was genius.

But, it wasn’t just for fun. There were real stakes attached to the quest and Andrea most definitely didn’t want to fuck it up.

Her awakening skill was on the line over here!

This wasn’t some minor bonus or a handful of generic experience points. This single reward would determine her combat foundation, her value in battle, and whether she could truly stand proudly beside Fredrinn, Rose, and Jenny as an equal.

Andrea locked in, her focus shifting from the quest to the question of ’how to do this quest’.

The first problem was obvious.

Like an overly excited fool, she had just broadcasted the name of her system and revealed the fact that her target was Fredrinn.

Not only that, she had just gotten shocked right now and obviously, the other 3 in the room had noticed the change in her behaviour.

Sitting petrified like a wooden mannequin for five straight seconds with your mouth hanging open wasn’t exactly subtle. If she suddenly started asking Fredrinn weird, suspicious questions about bullying scenarios, anyone with half a working brain would smell a setup from a mile away.

So first off, she needed to fix her behaviour and cook up some excuses about it.

Next, she needs to have a chat with Fredrinn.

Andrea took a deep breath, her shocked and surprised expression gradually turning into a confused one.

She blinked several times and even rubbed her eyes with her hand, acting like nothing in front of her eyes was making sense.

Too curious, Jenny couldn’t control her curiosity.

"What’s wrong? What happened?" She asked excitedly, moving closer like if she viewed from closer, she will be capable of seeing the screen.

"It shows... I got a quest?" Andrea blinked, pointing and tapping at the air, resembling a retarded person to anyone who couldn’t see the screen themselves.

Her fingers fluttered through empty space, swiping at invisible dust while her eyebrows knitted together in frustration.

"Quest? What’s the quest?" Rose hummed, narrowing her gaze in a threatening way at Andrea as if she was warning her that if she harms Fredrinn, Rose will get mad.

The demoness’s crimson eyes flashed with an eerie pink gleam, her possessive instincts instantly flaring up at the thought of anyone targeting her man—system-mandated or not.

Andrea sighed in defeat, "That’s the problem... It’s not opening. It just shows three exclamation marks near a quest tab, but the tab itself is greyed out!"

Jenny’s eyes shone at the description as she opened her own Awakener’s System, noting that her system interface was also quite similar to what Andrea was describing.

When Jenny had first unlocked her own system after awakening, she had faced a nearly identical interface hiccup—locked parameters, glowing red indicators, and greyed-out sub-menus waiting for initial conditions to be cleared.

Although that raised some flags in the blonde beauty’s mind, for now it also strengthened the credibility of Andrea’s words that she really wasn’t lying.

Fredrinn, who had his guard up for any sudden bullying attempts on himself, was also equally confused.

’Quest isn’t opening...?’ He blinked, ’Can that even happen? Maybe the quest isn’t loaded yet? Or... What if she’s lying?’

Fredrinn couldn’t deny that possibility, ’Andrea’s smart enough to know that she can’t tell me the quest directly or she will never get the chance to bully me. And if I help her in it, maybe the system won’t even register it.

So it’s obvious that she would keep the details of the quest a secret.’

He stroked his chin and narrowed his eyes at the plump brunette, ’What is she really planning?’

He studied her face carefully. Andrea had always been somewhat expressive, her emotions easily readable on her features whenever she was flustered or teasing him in private.

Yet right now, she looked genuinely exasperated, pouting like a disappointed child whose birthday present had been snatched away at the last second.

Was she genuinely running into an interface bug, or was this a brilliant act cooked up by a girl determined to catch him off guard?

At the same time, Andrea was also looking in his direction with a helpless, saddened frown.

Her inner feelings and thoughts about the quest were hidden perfectly that not even herself could figure them out.

She had always been capable of putting on a natural act since her childhood, so this wasn’t particularly difficult for her.

There wasn’t even the problem of guilt as in her defence... She was just doing it to finish her quest and become an awakener!

"Ugh, why is this happening to me?! I just got a chance to become stronger, but now I am not even getting quests? What could the quest even be?!"
