When Chu Feng asked this, he was already seething with anger, though he kept it hidden.

Even though he didn’t know who this person was, the situation left a sour taste in Chu Feng’s mouth. ‘This guy is far too arrogant. Does he really think he’s some big shot?’

‘He wanted to meet me, but he hasn’t even bothered to show his face.’

‘This is outrageous!’

“Venerable Chu Feng, please don’t be anxious,” a Netherworld Sect Elder said with a smile. “It’s getting late. Why don’t you rest here for the night? You’ll be able to see him first thing in the morning.”

The other Elders chimed in, agreeing with him.

“Yes. Elder Wang Xuan, you and Venerable Chu Feng have known each other for a while. You should be the one to show him to his quarters.”

“Venerable Chu Feng, there’s no hurry,” Wang Xuan said with a smile. “We’ve all eaten and drunk our fill. We should get a good night’s rest. Trust me, you’ll definitely see him first thing in the morning.”

He was the one who had invited Chu Feng back on the Big Snow Plateau.

“Fine, I’ll wait one more night,” Chu Feng said bluntly. “But if I don’t see him tomorrow, don’t blame me for what happens next. You all know what I’m capable of!”

‘Are these guys trying to pull something on me? If that’s what this is, I won’t let any of them off the hook. I’ll slaughter every last one of them.’

“Venerable Chu Feng, please rest assured. It will happen,” the Netherworld Sect Elders said hastily. Seeing Chu Feng’s anger, their only option was to try and placate him.

They didn’t dare truly anger Chu Feng. If he flew into a rage, they would all suffer the consequences. Everyone was well aware of this, so no one dared to cross him.

“Then go make the arrangements,” Chu Feng said. “I’m tired anyway. I need some rest. I’ve been driving all day.”

In truth, he wasn’t tired in the slightest. He was just saying that to see what these people were really up to.

At his current level of power, he could drive for three days and three nights without feeling tired, let alone a single day.

After leaving the main hall, they headed toward the back.

There, he found a small room that looked like a secret chamber, giving off a strange vibe.

“Venerable Chu Feng, please rest here tonight,” said Wang Xuan. “If you need anything, don’t hesitate to find us. We’ll arrange for you to meet him first thing in the morning.”

“Mm. You should get some rest too, Elder Wang,” Chu Feng said with a grin. “But let me give you all a warning. You’d better not try to pull any tricks. If you do, you’ll all die, and your deaths will be horrific. Then you’ll really be going to the Netherworld, not just playing make-believe here.”

“Please rest assured, Venerable Chu Feng. We definitely won’t.” Wang Xuan suddenly felt a cold sweat break out on his back; the threat had genuinely frightened him.

He was very afraid of Chu Feng’s power because he had been present for the battle that day and had witnessed it firsthand.

Especially his Celestial Sword Technique, which was a force of utter devastation.

With a single swing of the sword, numerous experts at the Martial Arts Peak Realm were utterly unable to resist and were killed instantly.

Wang Xuan obediently took his leave. As he walked out of the room, he couldn’t help but wipe the sweat from his brow.

Chu Feng then headed into the room. However, as he stepped inside, the sense of dread in his heart intensified.

The sense of crisis washed over him again, as if danger was lurking right before his eyes.

‘Heh, so it really is a trap,’ Chu Feng sneered internally. ‘They want to make a move on me here? Well, I’d like to see who’s got the balls to come after me.’ Outwardly, he appeared perfectly calm, showing no signs of alarm.

Inwardly, however, he was on high alert, his senses focused entirely on his surroundings.

Chu Feng guessed that someone had learned his Divine Soul Strength was unique and had decided to target him.

That meant this person’s background and origins were surely extraordinary.

But no matter how powerful they were, Chu Feng remained unafraid.

As long as they hadn’t reached the Nascent Soul Realm, he had nothing to fear.

Inside the room, a strange and eerie statue stood in the center, enough to make one’s skin crawl.

‘These people are completely messed up,’ Chu Feng thought with disdain. ‘They love making this creepy junk. What is this crap? A bunch of morons.’

‘Now I’m even more convinced that anyone who joins the Netherworld Sect has something wrong with their head. They’re basically all lunatics.’

‘Not a single one of them is normal. A normal person wouldn’t be like this.’

Chu Feng paid it no more mind and sat directly on the bed. However, he didn’t begin his Cultivation.

How could he dare to start his Cultivation at a time like this? He had to stay on guard for whatever was hiding in the dark.

If that person launched a surprise attack, he’d be in grave danger while cultivating.

He had great faith in his intuition. If he was feeling a sense of fear and dread, it meant there was definitely something wrong with this place.

He wouldn’t have such a premonition otherwise. A feeling like this meant something bad was present, or that someone was plotting against him!
