Only a town-level territory could activate the distinction between an outer city and an inner city, allowing players who had not joined the territory and become residents to enjoy some of the basic functions that only a territory could provide.

And if there were no NPC cities on Gaia, then a town-level territory would probably not have a chance to appear until at least six months to a year later.

If the Lords and territory residents could get such a long head start, the advantage would be extremely difficult for ordinary players to overcome.

Of course, Joo Joowon did not think that Lord players could truly dominate everything either. The type of game itself determined that. Perhaps just when the Lord players thought they could steadily develop into overlords of their own territories, they might receive a brutal blow from the Age of Apocalypse head-on.

So it was still far from the time to relax.

At the very least, the defensive network Seong Seungmin had left behind could only block attacks below Level 10 at most. If he really wanted to guarantee the safety of the territory, he still needed to build offensive structures and cultivate enough manpower to deal with enemies.

If none of these could be accomplished, then the only option was to keep his cultivation at a realm that remained far ahead of everyone else.

Entertainment?

Joo Joowon was somewhat confused. It was only after he clicked into it that he realized he had misunderstood. These were not the kinds of entertainment buildings he had imagined.

Training rooms, trading houses, markets, taverns, and other facilities were all included under entertainment buildings. Some special buildings also belonged to this category. Livelihood buildings included wells, farmland, residential houses, and other structures, while military buildings included city walls, barracks, weapons research facilities, and so on.

Only then did Joo Joowon breathe a sigh of relief.

Building entertainment facilities during the early stages of development would be like having something wrong with his head and thinking that he was not dying quickly enough. Fortunately, entertainment buildings were not completely useless.

The only thing that troubled Joo Joowon was that all these buildings required a suitable unit to take up residence before they could be put into normal operation. In other words, the trading house needed to have a merchant stationed there, soldiers were required on the city walls, and the farmland needed a farmer to cultivate it.

He did not need residential houses for now. Byeol and the others all lived together with him. However, after carefully looking through the options, Joo Joowon felt that the farmland could probably be built and put into operation.

He remembered that foxtail millet and yellow millet was one of the earliest crops domesticated by humans in ancient times. Although it could no longer be considered a staple food nowadays, it was still an agricultural crop and therefore met the requirements for putting farmland into operation. As for the entertainment building, Joo Joowon planned to build the trading house first.

He could then see what restrictions there were on the unit that had to take up residence there. If the person had to know arithmetic, he could simply take on the position himself. As for the military building, Joo Joowon had not yet decided what he wanted to build.

However, he was not in a hurry. He had money now, so at worst, he could temporarily hire an NPC from the market. After completing the quest, he could simply let that person leave.

While holding Byeol, Joo Joowon left the underground level. When he thought about the language translation function, his heart stirred slightly.

To be honest, although he usually treated Byeol like his own child, he really did not know how Byeol viewed him.

Was he his mother or father? His companion? Or his roommate?

"Byeol?"

"!"

Byeol was still studying the panel that had suddenly loaded into his field of vision when Joo Joowon suddenly called his name. His eyes immediately widened.

Although he was not the kind of cat that could not understand human speech at all, his understanding was more like a conditioned reflex.

It was because Joo Joowon had spoken to him again and again in the past that Byeol had connected eating with food and connected his name with himself. It was not that he had actually understood what Joo Joowon was saying.

He had simply spent enough time together with Joo Joowon that he had naturally come to understand the general meaning represented by certain words the other party used.

Previously, Byeol had already been surprised enough when Joo Joowon used Mental Power to communicate with him, but that method was ultimately Joo Joowon adapting downward to accommodate him. It was one-sided communication. Now, however, Byeol had genuinely understood that Joo Joowon was calling him.

The feeling was very strange. It really was just like another cat calling out to him.

Byeol had no problem recognizing different species. He had always known that Joo Joowon was not a cat, so he looked completely shocked.

"Poop-scooper, how did you learn to speak cat?!"

Joo Joowon was speechless. "...You should call me Dad."

Byeol pressed his ears down slightly and looked at him as if he were an idiot. Who was his Dad? Did Joo Joowon really think he would not know that? How could he possibly not know who his own Dad was?

Joo Joowon rubbed and squeezed Byeol’s cheeks, never expecting that the joking title cat owners on the internet had come up with in the past would actually become reality.

"Why do you call me Poop-scooper?" This was going too far.
