My God-Level System Can Rebuild Civilization in the Apocalypse!
Chapter 320: Call Me Dad
Joo Joowon thought about his relationship with Byeol. Even if Byeol did not call him Dad, he should at least have some kind of affectionate title for him, right?
Byeol tilted his head. "You used to really like my poop... Wuwu!"
Joo Joowon expressionlessly pinched Byeol’s mouth shut with his hand. "That’s enough. You don’t need to say anything else."
If Byeol had not refused to bury his poop in the past, why would Joo Joowon have had to wait for him to finish every day before going over to scoop it up? How many times had he been nearly suffocated by the smell?
If only Byeol had been a little more normal, Joo Joowon would have gone out and bought one of those fully automatic litter boxes to free his hands a long time ago.
"From now on, change what you call me. Call me Dad!" Joo Joowon said with a serious expression.
Byeol gave him a sidelong glance. No matter how he looked at it, those eyes did not seem like the eyes of someone who intended to obey.
Joo Joowon could not help sighing.
Seriously, my son has rebelled against me. My heart is deeply wounded.
Although through his everyday interactions with Byeol, Joo Joowon had already realized that Byeol did not consider him his mom, now that it had actually been confirmed, he still felt somewhat unpleasant about it.
What bad intentions could he possibly have? He was simply raising Byeol like his own child.
Byeol was also puzzled. What kind of two legged creature immediately asked a cat to recognize him as his father? He was already so old. How could he possibly not know who his father is.
If they had been perfectly good brother, but one of them suddenly wanted to interact with the other as his father, would that not be crazy?
Wait a second. Why did Poop-scooper think that way?
Byeol suddenly fell into deep thought.
Joo Joowon did not notice that Byeol had already become completely immersed in the shock of realizing, "My bro has always been treating me like his baby."
Since the Lord’s Manor had already been completed, Joo Joowon naturally had to go back and bring Hwi and the others over. With the Lord’s Manor’s current defenses, even if he left Byeol at home alone, he did not have to worry about him encountering any danger.
So after saying a word to Byeol, Joo Joowon hurried back.
Because Hwi and the others had already been certified as territory residents during the first quest, their panels had been loaded even when they were outside the territory. However, they were much more carefree than Byeol. Although they had seen the panels, they had completely ignored them until now, showing just how carefree they were.
When Joo Joowon returned, Hwi, who had been waiting at the entrance, immediately jumped up excitedly.
"Dad!"
Joo Joowon thought: Byeol, your position really is being threatened!
He immediately caught Hwi, and the other’s sturdy body felt extremely good in his arms.
Joo Joowon looked pleased. Although he did not have any particular desire to be someone else’s father, how should he put it? People who raised pets either simply treated their pets as animals or genuinely regarded them as family members. Those in the latter group would usually unconsciously place themselves into the role of a parents, older siblings, or grandparents.
Byeol was staying in the Lord’s Manor. He still had not figured out exactly what he had done that had caused such a misunderstanding and made his bro treat him like a child. When he heard the commotion and went out to welcome Joo Joowon, he happened to see a scene of motherly love and filial affection between Joo Joowon and Hwi.
One called out "Dad" without the slightest hesitation, while the other answered without the slightest burden.
Byeol silently moved away from them.
In other words, was there a possibility that he was not actually the one with a problem, but that all of them simply had some kind of cat sickness?
Joo Joowon put away all the supplies he had brought back from outside one by one, making sure they were no longer piled up in a messy heap.
The Lord’s Manor had a cellar that Seong Seungmin had specifically dug out for storing things. It contained a preservation system that was one of the most common household food-preservation devices used by interstellar people. It could ensure that food placed inside the storage room remained almost exactly as it had been when first stored for three years. Only after three years would its effectiveness drop significantly.
That time limit was already more than enough for Joo Joowon.
One had to know that the southern environment was humid. Under normal circumstances, if clothes were washed and hung outside during winter, most of the time, even after a month, one could still wring water out of them. The possibility of them becoming moldy was even greater than the possibility of them drying properly, and winter clothes would always have that musty smell that came from being dried in a damp environment.
Such an almost harsh environment was naturally even more unfavorable for preserving food.
It had to be said that the benefits brought by interconnected trade were enormous for all sides. At least for Joo Joowon, it had caused the quality of his life to improve by leaps and bounds in an instant, although he did not know how long this quality of life would be able to last.
The game shop, which had been completely opened after Level 10, did not bring Joo Joowon much of a surprise.
The shop did not sell food, or rather, it did not sell ordinary food. What it sold were things related to cultivation, such as genetic potions, experience pills, and even various heavenly treasures and earthly treasures. Not only were the prices high, but they were even limited in quantity, so they were not things that ordinary players could afford to enjoy.
