After giving it a quick scan, Joo Joowon activated all the basic functions. Besides things like the forum and language translation, he also activated the full map.

This function required a purchase, but it seemed that Seong Seungmin had already paid for it, as it was displayed as purchased.

Loading the map occupied a full 5% of the memory. Its function was to record every place that the territory residents had traveled to outside the territory. It was just like unlocking a map in a game. Once an area had been unlocked, it would continue to be recorded on the map and update in real time. As long as someone was a resident of the territory, they could view the map, so they would no longer need to worry about getting lost when going outside.

After that, Joo Joowon also activated monitoring mode. If someone who was not a territory resident entered the territory, he would receive a notification. The map would also display green names and red names for all territory residents, allowing them to distinguish friend from foe when they went outside.

Apart from these, Joo Joowon also activated the defense system. Any creature that had not received an invitation and approached the territory would trigger the territory’s self-defense mechanism. Without requiring anyone to control it, the system would automatically mark and attack enemies.

This was the highest level of defense. Below it was a mode where players could enter and move around in the public areas as long as their killing intent value did not exceed a certain number. There was also a completely undefended open mode where anything could enter.

After activating all these functions, nearly 80% of the Domain Core’s memory had already been occupied. Starting from the roots of the Heavenly Workshop tree, the tree-shaped diagram gradually turned gray, showing that those functions had already been used.

This did not actually mean that the Domain Core only had this much memory. Rather, the territory’s level only allowed the core to load this many functions smoothly. If he wanted to increase the number of available functions, he could only upgrade the territory.

After thinking about it for a while, Joo Joowon set the Territory Panel to display names, levels, identities, and reputations. Everything else was set so that only he could view it himself.

Identity did not need to be explained. The residents of a healthy territory would definitely need to have jobs. The identity displayed the position that the person held within the territory, while reputation was the territory’s evaluation of a resident. If it was too low, it meant that the person had violated the territory’s laws before.

After confirming that he had activated everything that could be activated and had not missed anything, Joo Joowon finally had the time to look at the third-stage quest.

At this point, he was determined to become a Lord. Not to mention anything else, just the Territory Panel function alone was something he could not give up.

It was essentially the same as the Detection Spell in a game. Not only could it display information about territory residents, but it could also be used to investigate information about creatures outside the territory.

However, this kind of detection could only display a player’s ID and level. All other information required Information Points to unlock. But in reality, that restriction was mainly aimed at territory residents.

In fact, the so-called Information Points were actually a creature’s understanding of other people. As long as he could determine what profession the other person had, the panel would automatically display that person’s profession, as well as more detailed information, including the skills that the profession could possess and even the equipment that the person was wearing.

All this information would be collected by the Lord Panel, continuously enriching its own database. As for other people who wanted to view this information, they would need to possess Information Points.

The way to obtain Information Points was to provide the Lord Panel with information that had not yet been recorded. After the game verified that the information was accurate, Information Points would be awarded according to the value of the information.

This function alone was enough to show just how great the advantages of Lord players were, yet Lord players did not have only this one advantage.

Maps, the party function, language translation, and most importantly, taxes.

The higher the prosperity of the territory, the more taxes could be collected. These taxes could be set as experience or money.

If they were set as experience, the territory would retain a portion of the experience gained when territory residents went out to kill monsters or cultivate. Money worked more or less like taxes in the real world.

Apart from this method of obtaining experience, the Domain Core would also automatically absorb the Quanta Energy freely circulating within the territory every day and convert it into experience points to provide to the Lord.

The higher the territory’s level, the more experience it could provide. This experience could not only be used by the Lord, but could also be given to the legion and subordinates. During festivals, it could even be distributed as a benefit to every territory resident.

It could be said that after seeing all of this, Joo Joowon understood that unless a player had personal strength that was powerful enough to reach a certain level, the players who could eventually stand at the top of the player pyramid would definitely be Lord players.

Games emphasized balance, but there was fundamentally no balanced gameplay in reality. Not to mention Lords, even the professions players could choose were the same. Some professions were destined to be useless. Taking up such a profession could even be worse than having no profession at all, while some professions would already reveal their powerful potential during the First Stage.

Therefore, Joo Joowon understood that he could not give up his status as a Lord. Even if he had no intention of recruiting players, he still needed those basic functions very much.
