There was also a crane at the construction site, but Joo Joowon felt that it was not very suitable for traveling on the road.

Whether it was the excavator or the wheel loader, either one would actually work for Joo Joowon. When he approached them, the tires were taller than a person. Even though the roads were in complete disorder now, Joo Joowon believed that a vehicle like this would definitely not get stuck in traffic once he drove it out.

Joo Joowon happily walked around the wheel loader several times. An excavator was easy to tip over if it was not operated properly, and it was also slow, so the wheel loader was still more suitable for him.

He had never operated a complicated vehicle like this before either, so after getting inside, he would still have to study how to drive it.

Actually, if he had been given a choice, or if the Apocalypse Marketplace had opened other areas to him, Joo Joowon would definitely have gone straight to buy a mining truck, tank, or some other vehicle.

There was no need to even mention mining trucks. They were absolutely the "giants" among vehicles. A single tire could be as tall as two people, yet they were not even particularly slow when driven. Unfortunately, there were no mining sites around S City, and even if there were, it would not have been his turn to drive one.

Joo Joowon looked around and confirmed that there were no other suitable construction vehicles at the site before turning his attention completely to the wheel loader.

Joo Joowon is too lazy to look around for whether the vehicle keys were still somewhere at the construction site, he directly used spider silk to unlock it. He then checked the wheel loader’s fuel tank and found that it was still full, so there was no chance of it running out of fuel and stalling on the road.

After getting into the wheel loader, Joo Joowon first familiarized himself with the controls. It had been a long time since he had driven a vehicle, and this wheel loader was much more difficult to operate than an ordinary car. He needed to make sure that he did not end up driving it out only to wreck the vehicle himself before getting anywhere.

Most of the controls on a wheel loader were not very different from those of an ordinary vehicle. There were no longer any traffic rules to follow on the roads either, so after driving around the construction site for a while to get used to it, Joo Joowon simply drove it out.

The distinctive rumbling sound of construction equipment was incredibly conspicuous to zombies. Joo Joowon had already thought of this when he came here, but he did not care. As long as he did not encounter a boss, he had nothing to fear even if an elite monster was attracted by the noise.

Even if he encountered a boss, with the wheel loader’s assistance, he might even find it easier to deal with the boss than before.

After all, a wheel loader weighing several tons was not some useless showpiece.

What Joo Joowon mainly needed to get used to was the bulldozer blade at the very front of the wheel loader. He had to figure out how to raise and lower it properly. Since there was no one around to teach him, he could only slowly explore the wheel loader’s functions by himself inside the driver’s cab.

He was not asking to become highly skilled at operating it. As long as he could drive it properly on the road, that was enough for him.

Joo Joowon immediately drove the wheel loader toward the residential complex.

The moment he drove onto the road, he instantly became the most conspicuous thing on the entire street. The roars of the zombies trapped inside vehicles rose one after another.

Joo Joowon did not care either. He simply drove straight ahead, charging through the road. Anything he could not drive around was flipped over with the wheel loader. He did not care whether zombies would follow him whenever he had to stop either. The attacks of low level zombies were no longer a threat to him.

Unless hundreds or even thousands of them surrounded him while there happened to be no open space nearby that he could use to his advantage.

However, there was no such place in the city.

He focused on driving. With the wheel loader pushing forward, the cars that had collided with one another on the road did not obstruct his progress at all. They were crushed and pushed aside directly beneath the wheel loader, allowing it to pass through without the slightest difficulty.

Joo Joowon also understood that this was because the traffic around here was not particularly dense. If the apocalypse had descended during the morning or evening rush hour, then forget about a wheel loader. No matter what kind of vehicle arrived, it would be completely helpless. There would have been no way to get onto the road at all.

Even now, Joo Joowon guessed that some sections of the roads were probably still experiencing minor traffic jams. He had no intention of driving through those sections, lest he end up trapped with no way forward or backward.

After driving all the way to the gas station, Joo Joowon got out and placed a barrel of diesel inside the vehicle as a spare. After thinking about it, he also unlocked all the locks at the gas station so that other people would have an easier time operating the equipment and refueling when they came by.

As for the machines and equipment that required electricity to operate, there was nothing he could do about those. This was indeed one of his blind spots. He could not help with them, and he was even more afraid that randomly damaging something might cause an accident.

If an accident happened at the gas station, Joo Joowon did not think he would have any chance of surviving.
