Jin Hunseok did not think that way.

He believed that since Joo Joowon had killed so many zombies, his understanding of them had to be far greater than theirs.

Since he had said this, he must have noticed something.

Jin Hunseok’s expression immediately became serious.

"Thank you. We’ll be careful."

Seeing that Jin Hunseok had taken his warning to heart, Joo Joowon gave a slight nod.

Good advice could never save those determined to throw their lives away.

If they refused to believe him, he had no intention of wasting his breath trying to persuade them.

He had no interest in doing something that would only bring him trouble.

However, he certainly did not mind offering a warning.

Whether they believed him or not was entirely up to them.

When Jin Hunseok saw that Joo Joowon was about to leave, he hurriedly said, "I’ll walk you out."

Calling it an escort was not entirely accurate.

Jin Hunseok simply wanted to take the opportunity to ask a few more questions along the way.

They had always acted cautiously.

Even when hunting monsters, they never dared provoke large groups of zombies because they feared losing people.

Asking ordinary people like them to disregard life and death was simply unrealistic.

All they wanted was to survive.

As a result, their understanding of this unfamiliar world was still like that of blind men trying to describe an elephant.

"You mentioned that we shouldn’t stay up late. Does that mean...?" Jin Hunseok asked carefully.

"It’s only a feeling," Joo Joowon replied. "I have a feeling that when the marketplace closes, the Age of Apocalypse may pull some kind of trick. It might involve mental power."

Jin Hunseok did not know much about games.

The only games he had played were a few arcade games when he was a child.

However, some of the younger members of the team had discussed common online game mechanics and speculated whether the Age of Apocalypse might follow the same patterns.

Although Jin Hunseok did not understand much about games, his greatest strength was that he was willing to listen to advice.

As soon as he heard Joo Joowon’s words, he nodded solemnly.

When someone with real strength was willing to share valuable information, it was already something to be grateful for.

How could he possibly ignore the advice or even question it?

Besides, even if Joo Joowon’s guess turned out to be wrong, would following the advice cause him any loss?

Since it would not, why not do it?

Joo Joowon did not care how the other party would act after hearing his warning.

They were only strangers who had met once.

As long as his own conscience was clear, that was enough.

Whatever they chose to do afterward had nothing to do with him.

When they reached the ground floor, Joo Joowon said goodbye to Jin Hunseok and did not allow him to follow any farther.

Watching Joo Joowon walk away, Jin Hunseok could not help but feel a little envious.

He could clearly tell that even when all of them had gathered around him just now, Joo Joowon had not shown the slightest bit of nervousness.

He genuinely did not think they posed any threat to him.

If only he possessed that kind of strength, he would not have so many worries now.

The members of his team would not need endless discussions and persuasion before they were willing to carry out a task.

It was time to streamline the team and split it apart.

Jin Hunseok knew his own limits.

He had long since passed the age of chasing unrealistic dreams.

Compared to those in the team who were content with the current situation, he trusted people like Joo Joowon who constantly worked to improve themselves in the apocalypse.

Call him someone who admired strength or blindly followed the strong if they wanted.

Either way, he had no intention of staying in building three any longer.

The people who had moved into the building believed that Jin Hunseok’s team would protect them, so not only had they stopped going outside to kill monsters and instead lived comfortably indoors, but they also constantly tried to guilt trip the team.

Believing that their greater numbers gave them leverage, they had even begun setting their sights on the team’s supplies.

Originally, Jin Hunseok had planned to discuss what to do with the other team members.

Now, he would simply move that discussion forward.

However, he also knew that this time, there would definitely not be many people who supported him.

A comfortable life was enough to erode a person’s fighting spirit.

Even though only a few days had passed since they had been living in constant fear, it was still enough for many people to become satisfied with the status quo.

Wasn’t it good enough to go out every day, level up according to routine, and then return home to rest?

Everyone believed that if the sky ever fell, someone taller would hold it up.

The problem was that even if someone stronger stepped forward to shoulder the burden, it would still take time.

No one could be everywhere at once.

What if they encountered a life or death crisis before that stronger person had the chance to become their savior?

Watching Joo Joowon walk farther and farther away, Jin Hunseok turned around and headed upstairs.

Before he had even reached the second floor, voices were already echoing through the building.

Compared to the quiet surroundings, the noise was unbelievably obvious.

He could even hear a married couple upstairs arguing, along with the cries of a child.

Jin Hunseok slowly let out a long breath

.

Now, every trace of hesitation had completely disappeared.

Those people upstairs had only just moved in, yet they had already turned the place into this.

Even if the building had originally been safe, it could no longer be considered safe now.

If he had known this would happen, then even if everyone cursed him for being cold hearted, he should have stationed people at the hallway entrance and refused to let them move in.
