Chapter 137: Chapter 135: Freshman Sorting at Meteor University
Meteor University, built upon a partially explored secret realm!
To put it another way, Meteor University was established *inside* a partially explored secret realm!
This news—or rather, this fact—was enough to leave every student who had been in the dark utterly shocked.
It wasn’t just shock—it was complete bewilderment. ’A university can be built inside a secret realm?!’
The ensuing silence was broken by a cacophony of voices.
There was chatter, shouting, accusations, and even swearing.
For a moment, the clearing where the Flying Boats were parked turned into a chaotic marketplace, buzzing with human voices.
The Meteor University administration seemed to have anticipated this reaction, as they let the students "discuss" the matter for nearly ten minutes.
Only after ten minutes did two words echo from the sky.
"Be quiet!"
The voice carried a commanding pressure, and though it was only two words, it was enough to instantly silence every student present.
Upon hearing those two words, Li Heng felt a shudder run through him. He couldn’t help but speculate on the Soul Master’s cultivation level. ’It must be the Grandmaster Realm!’
"Meteor University is one hundred and twenty-five years old, but it has been established in this secret realm for eighty-three of those years. First, I’d like to welcome all of you who chose to enroll at Meteor University! And please, rest assured. The secret realm that houses our university is perfectly stable!"
Eighty-three years in this secret realm!
Perfectly stable!
For the students who were doubtful about the university’s location, these words were meant as a reassurance, though its calming effect varied from person to person.
For the most part, however, the students were much calmer than before.
But as for Li Heng, no matter how many years the school had been in this secret realm, and no matter how they tried to sugarcoat the situation, he still felt a strong sense of rejection.
’What is a partially explored secret realm?’
It meant that parts of it—perhaps even large parts—were completely unknown. Besides, based on the information the system had broadcast earlier...
’This secret realm must be enormous!’
In terms of proportions, the explored and understood area was likely less than thirty percent.
’Dropping out... is it too late for that?’
Li Heng was lost in his own thoughts, completely ignoring what the person in the sky was saying. He was already considering backing out, mulling over the possibility of withdrawing and transferring to another school.
He had thought Meteor University would be relatively safe, but he never imagined that the university itself was the danger!
Li Heng thought about it. With his scores, abilities, and performance, other Soul Energy Universities would surely accept him.
While the speaker in the sky held the attention of nearly every student, Li Heng’s solitary contemplation caught the eye of Lu Bichuan and the others. They were curious what he could be thinking about, head bowed in silence, at a time like this.
"Because Meteor University is built within a secret realm, we have numerous special regulations. After you are sorted into your departments, your respective teachers will explain the specifics to all of you in detail."
"We will also answer all of your questions one by one. But before that, let me say this: if any of you are thinking about transferring, I suggest you put that idea aside for now. Unless you’re confident you can get through the entrance to the secret realm by yourself."
"To put it simply, our Secret Realm Gatekeeper team is composed of ten teachers at the Great Soul Warrior realm and one at the Soul Energy Grandmaster Realm. Any of you students who are thinking of transferring are free to come and go as you please—if you have the strength."
As the teacher in the sky continued to speak about Meteor University, the students’ emotions gradually shifted from their initial anger, bewilderment, shock, curiosity, and anticipation to a state of calm. In the end, no one was asking questions or even whispering.
Li Heng didn’t know about the others, but after listening to the teacher’s explanation, he suddenly realized that Meteor University wasn’t just a trap—it was also run by "thugs"!
"Disembark the Flying Boats! Department sorting!"
With the explanation apparently concluded, the teacher in the sky slowly began to descend.
Aside from the familiar Lu Shengming, there were five other teachers—three men and two women. They didn’t remain mysterious for long. As they descended to hover level with the Flying Boats, they began to introduce themselves.
The one performing Sword Flight was a middle-aged man in a black robe. He was the first of the five to speak. "I am Ye Jian Nan, bishop teacher of the Weaponry Department!"
A female teacher in a long white dress spoke next. "Zhang Qin, bishop teacher of the Medical Type!"
Another female teacher followed, this one in a long green dress with tassels at her waist. "Wen Ruyan, bishop teacher of the Comprehensive Department!"
"Mo Zifeng, bishop teacher of the Support Department!"
"Yang Xiong, bishop teacher of the Soul Beast Department!"
After the five teachers had spoken, Lu Shengming addressed the students. "Please proceed to the area for your respective bishop teacher, based on the department you applied for."
Li Heng had applied to the Comprehensive Department, so he had paid extra attention when the teacher in the long green dress, Wen Ruyan, introduced herself.
Teacher Wen Ruyan looked to be about thirty. She was beautiful, with a great figure. Her cultivation level, however, was unclear.
After disembarking from the Flying Boat, Li Heng joined the other students heading toward Teacher Wen Ruyan.
It was worth noting that as Li Heng headed for the Comprehensive Department’s gathering point, he saw that Bai Shasha was heading there as well.
Li Heng didn’t say anything. After all, Bai Shasha had sought him out downstairs from his apartment building and made a request concerning university.
It was no surprise that the flat-chested loli had applied to the same department he did.
But he hadn’t walked far before he stopped short, rooted to the spot. After the recent chaos had settled, he once again heard the system’s notification.

Li Heng fell silent for a moment. His initial, intense aversion to this place faded considerably as he processed the information from the system.
"Li Heng! Y-You... hi!"
Li Heng was still processing the system’s messages when a familiar voice sounded by his ear.
But before Li Heng could react, Bai Shasha, who was standing beside him, turned to look toward the source of the voice.
And so, at the gathering point for the new students of Meteor University’s Comprehensive Department, Bai Shasha and Bao Yaoyao met for the very first time.
