My Disciples Grind, I Get 100x Their Progress
Chapter 142: Secret Meeting
Explaining Kina’s current routine and new life turned out to be very simple.
From morning until night, Kina simply kept training. Of course, that routine could change depending on the situation, such as when the Mivelo family had to step in to deal with certain Invaders or Breaches.
In that regard, Kina was always efficient in her duties. But that was only when it concerned her own development and a Breach. Outside of that, when it concerned things that were not her priority at all, Kina would ignore them and let anyone in this residence handle them for her.
It wasn’t that she was lazy or anything, but Kina did all of that to prepare herself, so that when her master returned, she would be strong enough and would not become a burden.
That was why Kina never stopped training.
And tonight, unfortunately, she couldn’t train. Not because of a Breach or a certain Invader, but simply because an incoming call had requested a secret meeting.
It was a secret meeting that would involve only Kina, Ilunia and Ariel. A meeting held and arranged solely to discuss one matter related to one person, and of course it could only be about Julian.
Because Ariel was now an Academy student and secretly held a large information network behind him, the boy had to be careful, since he was being targeted by the Church of Ascension for some unknown reason.
As for Ilunia, her existence was hard to explain. How should Kina put it?
Ilunia was always moving between this world and that one. Yes, unlike Kina, who stayed in this world, Ilunia had visited various worlds, passing through so many Breaches with the help of an Alien named Aclyris.
Because their situations were each different, Ilunia in the end gave Ariel and Kina each a communication device that they could use to contact one another, with some conditions.
Because the device apparently wasn’t all-powerful, certain limitations were imposed. For instance, a meeting could only be held once a month.
Once someone submitted a communication request, they had to wait until night fell, and only when the moon rose would the meeting and communication take place.
And then, today, Ilunia had requested that meeting. Something Kina had eagerly awaited, because whatever came from Ilunia was always extraordinary, and she couldn’t contain herself.
Lying face down on her soft bed, wearing pink pajamas, with her hair tied back slightly, Kina turned on the required device.
Soon, a large light blue projection appeared. The room around her seemed to change, but it didn’t change completely, only a small illusion in transparent color that put Kina on a chair.
Of course, Kina wasn’t actually sitting in the chair. She was still lying face down on her bed, her legs passing through the backrest of the chair behind her, and her head ended up right above the table, while her stomach sat right over the chair, floating slightly above it.
At the same time, several other figures appeared in the transparent projection. On the right appeared a tall young man.
Meanwhile, across from her sat a grown woman who had grown so much that it always astonished Kina, who only met Ilunia occasionally through this communication device.
Why had Ilunia grown so fast?
Thinking back on how tiny Ilunia used to be shocked Kina. Ilunia’s change wasn’t only that she was now almost as tall as Kina, but also that Ilunia’s beauty felt so hypnotic it was at a worrying level.
’...Ilunia is blind, that Alien wouldn’t do anything to her, right?’
That protective feeling sometimes surfaced, because besides Julian, Kina also deeply valued and loved Ilunia, who shared so many things with Kina.
In that regard, Kina paid close attention to Ilunia’s condition and always tried to do her best whenever Ilunia asked her for help.
"Ehm... Good evening, everyone, I’m glad to see you’re all well. And... Kina, how about you improve your position?"
Kina blinked, listening to Ilunia’s voice, which had become so mature, then laughed softly.
"Why? It’s more comfortable like this."
On the other side, Ariel raised his hand and spoke while looking at Kina.
"Miss Ilunia, you shouldn’t bother trying to discipline that rude woman. She’s been rude since birth."
"H-huh!?" Hearing the sudden jab made Kina frown in annoyance as she glanced toward Ariel.
"Hoo, so now that you’ve grown up, you dare insult your beautiful older sister? Do you want to be beaten up again?"
For a moment, Ariel looked like he had shuddered, remembering a time when something similar had happened, and Kina had actually shown up.
It made him look awkward, but because of his pride, Ariel flatly refused to submit.
"What older sister? I don’t want an older sister like you."
"You say that after spending so much of this older sister’s money?"
Kina was referring to how she had spent money and time just to find some talents worth sponsoring, then handed them over to Ariel to be trained.
For Ariel, it was an enormous help, because with his very weak force of personnel, he could survive thanks to those continuously developing talents.
Of course, they were still weak, but for now, that was enough for Ariel.
"Why are you quiet? Call me older sister right now."
Ariel flinched, wincing slightly. "I don’t want to."
"You don’t want to?" Kina smirked. "Should I cut off the sponso—"
"Ugh...! Fine, stop that nonsense... Uh, well... Ugh... Older sister..."
Kina paused for a moment, then her lips curved wide as she saw Ariel turning his face away, and she could even hear him grimacing and grumbling, muttering harsh words in a low voice.
But Kina ignored all that. "What was that? I didn’t hear, could you say it louder?"
"Huh?? What is that!? Not fair! Anyway, I’ve said it and I won’t say it again!"
Ariel shouted in irritation. "Damn it, why are you so obsessed with being called older sister? You’ve done it so many times I’m sick of it."
Hearing that, Kina only laughed even harder as Ariel looked swallowed up by his anger.
"Whoa, whoa, calm down. Why are you so mad? Did this older sister do something wicked? Hm?"
"You..."
Ariel was about to say something more, but before that he was cut off, not by Kina but by Ilunia, who had been watching in silence.
"Alright, alright, that’s enough, Ariel."
Then, Ilunia’s gaze turned briefly toward Kina, a gaze that made Ariel suddenly hope that Ilunia might say something about how Kina had always been bullying him.
But that was only his foolish thought.
"Hmm... Ariel, isn’t it fine? If you keep calling Kina older sister, you could actually gain more access to resources. At least, judging by your relationship, it doesn’t seem like a bad thing."
Ariel fell silent, realizing that he might be the only one who was normal in this meeting.
