My Desire System: The More They Want Me, The Stronger I Get
Chapter 37: The Casino Yacht
The private water taxi glided silently across the dark bay of District 3, spraying fine sea mist into the night air.
Ahead in the open water, the five-hundred-foot luxury yacht cut smoothly through the waves, its three tiers of golden decks blazing with light.
Champagne flutes chimed against crystal on the grand promenade deck, where billionaire investors and corrupt politicians mingled under chandeliers.
Leo stepped onto the private boarding gangway in a bespoke tuxedo, feeling the subtle spatial weight of his blade concealed against his inner jacket lining.
Beside him, Sierra linked her arm through his with a radiant smile, her backless violet evening gown trailing gracefully across the deck.
The dress hugged every line of her hourglass curves, the high slit exposing the smooth length of her leg with every stride.
"Relax those shoulders, mystery man," she whispered playfully into his ear, leaning close enough for her jasmine perfume to fill his senses.
"You look like a lethal bodyguard pretending to be a billionaire, try to smile like you own half the city."
"I am keeping an eye on the four armed guards by the elevator," he murmured back, covering her hand on his forearm with a warm grip.
"They are carrying concealed shock batons and military kinetic sidearms."
"And that is why you are my favorite date," she purred, pressing her side flush against his ribs as they approached the reception desk.
"You notice the dangerous hardware while I focus on the security keypads."
The head concierge scanned their forged identity chips with a digital scanner, bowing low as the console flashed a ten-million-credit verification balance.
"Welcome aboard the Golden Leviathan, Lord and Lady Thorne," the concierge greeted them with polished formality.
"The high-roller salon on the upper deck is open for private wagers, and the lounge is serving vintage wine."
"Thank you, darling," Sierra replied with effortless charm, flicking a thousand-credit tip onto the counter before leading Leo toward the main gaming floor.
The central casino floor was a sea of velvet roulette tables, blackjack pits, and private booths filled with thick cigar smoke.
A jazz band played softly on a floating platform, their melodies barely masking the high-stakes wagers traded by corporate oligarchs.
Sierra guided Leo toward the roulette wheel, leaning her hip against the table as a tuxedo-clad croupier spun the ivory ball.
"Sub-Deck 3 is located beneath the central dining salon," she murmured in a low whisper, leaning across his chest as if admiring the layout.
"The biometric elevator requires a retinal scan from the chief pit boss, and the access corridor is lined with laser tripwires."
"The pit boss is standing at the cashier cage by the bar," Leo observed, his perception filtering the room with analytical focus.
"He rotates his patrol every seven minutes to inspect the private baccarat tables."
"Place a hundred thousand credits on black twenty-four," she instructed with a seductive wink, sliding a stack of platinum chips onto the felt.
"Let us make some noise so the pit boss has to come over and verify our table limits."
Leo tossed two more black chips onto the layout, keeping a casual expression as the croupier waved his hand over the wheel.
"Feeling lucky tonight, Lord Thorne?" the croupier asked respectfully, flicking the ivory sphere along the rim.
"Luck does not have much to do with it," Leo answered with a faint smirk, watching the rotational momentum of the ball slow down.
The ivory ball bounced along the brass frets before dropping into the black twenty-four pocket with a crisp click.
"Winner on black twenty-four," the croupier announced, his eyes widening as a three-million-credit payout slid across the green felt.
A small crowd of wealthy patrons gathered around the table, applauding the massive win as the chief pit boss walked over to inspect the high-roller chips.
"That is our cue," Sierra whispered, slipping her arm from his grip while dropping a forged optical relay drive into the pit boss’s jacket pocket as he brushed past.
"Retinal data cloned," she murmured with a wicked smirk, showing Leo the small green diode blinking on her silver bracelet.
"Let us slip into the service corridor before the next wheel spin."
Leo followed her through the velvet curtains of the private VIP lounge, stepping into the unmonitored service stairwell where the noise of the casino faded into a distant hum.
The air grew cool and pressurized as they descended toward Sub-Deck 3, the walls shifting from decorative paneling to reinforced bulkheads.
At the end of the corridor stood a ten-foot blast door protected by an intricate web of infrared laser tripwires.
Leo focused his perception, activating the All-Spark sensory grid to map the spatial lattice in glowing purple coordinates.

"The beams cycle their frequency every four seconds," Leo noted, stepping in front of the door.
"Follow my footsteps exactly and do not touch the bulkhead walls."
Leo stepped forward in a silent shadow glide, his soles sliding beneath the first two beam layers before vaulting lightly over the floor sensors.
Sierra followed behind him with agile grace, her slender frame slipping through the microscopic openings with acrobatic precision.
She pressed her silver bracelet against the retinal scanner, and the thick pneumatic door hissed open to reveal an elevated observation gallery.
Below them lay the sub-deck vault: a circular chamber surrounded by reinforced transparent partitions, filled with stacks of gold bullion and black-market military crates.
At the center of the vault floor, resting atop an electromagnetic pedestal, sat Genesis Shard 2, a radiant crystalline artifact pulsing with cosmic light.
"There it is," Sierra breathed, her eyes lighting up at the vast wealth packed inside the subterranean hold.
"That is forty million credits of syndicate hardware, Leo."
"And that crystal has enough raw ether to power an entire district grid for a month," she whispered, leaning over the rail.
"How are we splitting the haul this time?" she asked with a sultry smirk, brushing her fingers along his collar.
"You get all the bearer bonds, the credit chips, and the prototype weapons," he answered softly.
"I only care about the crystal and taking Flint’s head."
"A fair trade for a master thief," she purred, pulling a pair of monomolecular wire rings onto her slender fingers.
Leo stepped up to the one-way partition, his gaze hardening as a familiar voice echoed from the private meeting room inside the vault.
Sitting on a plush couch surrounded by armed syndicate bodyguards was Boss Flint, laughing loudly as he shook hands with an Olympus corporate executive.
"The weapons shipment from District 1 arrived on schedule," Flint declared with a cruel grin, tapping an armored case filled with alien plasma rifles.
"With these guns and the crystal artifact, we are taking over every docks terminal in District 9 by midnight."
"The Ghost will not have anywhere left to hide once my enforcers lock down the lower canals," Flint added with sadistic confidence.
Leo’s fingers rested lightly against the hilt of his concealed blade, his eyes narrowing into cold, predatory slits.
"The target is in position," Leo said quietly, looking down into the vault.
"Time to crash the party."
