Dawn broke over the skyline, casting pale light across the rain-washed terrace window of the safehouse.

Leo stood by the railing in his black trousers, looking out toward the distant spires of District 1 as the city slowly woke.

Behind him in the quiet bedroom, Luna slept peacefully beneath the white silk sheets, a soft smile resting on her lips.

He walked back into the room with silent steps, pulling the duvet over her bare shoulders and brushing a loose strand of hair from her cheek.

She stirred softly in her sleep, nuzzling her face into the pillow with a quiet sigh.

He walked into the kitchen, setting out fresh fruit, warm rolls, and herbal tea on the counter for when Luna and Bekka woke up.

He left a short note beside the kettle, letting them know he had security wards active around the terrace perimeter.

He checked the pantry supplies, making sure there was enough food and bottled water for the next three days.

The All-Spark in his chest hummed with life ether, pulsing in harmony with the newly deepened bond of the Pink Matrix.

Reaching one hundred percent resonance with Luna had permanently stabilized his internal pathways, accelerating his passive ether recovery by three hundred percent.

A series of mathematical glyphs flashed across his vision, projecting floating text into his neural HUD.

The reality of the threat settled into his mind with clarity.

In exactly two weeks, an alien war cruiser armed with planetary excavation cannons would enter Earth’s atmosphere to retrieve the Progenitor Core.

District 9 and the surrounding lower sectors would be ground zero when the extraction harpoons deployed.

’Two weeks,’ he thought, clenching his hand into a fist as dark ether swirled around his knuckles.

’If I am not strong enough to cut a warship out of the sky by then, this entire city burns.’

He needed to accelerate his progression immediately, and the only way to bridge the power gap was locating the remaining six Genesis Shards.

He focused his mental intent, opening the All-Spark Cosmic Exchange interface.

A golden compass rose materialized in the corner of his field of vision, its needle spinning rapidly across the nine district sectors.

After three seconds of ether triangulation, the needle locked onto an offshore maritime coordinate in District 3.

[ Genesis Shard 2 Located: District 3 Coastal Waters ]

[ Vessel Signature: The Golden Leviathan (500-Foot Offshore Casino Yacht) ]

[ Target Location: Sub-Deck Black-Market Vault | Security: High-Grade Biometric Grid ]

Leo studied the vessel’s registration data with focused intensity.

The Golden Leviathan was an offshore casino yacht operating three miles off the coast of District 3, completely outside local city jurisdiction.

It was the private playground of corporate executives, corrupt politicians, and syndicate kingpins who traded stolen tech in unmonitored sub-deck auctions.

Breaking into a maritime vault protected by laser grids and private meta security was impossible for a lone operative.

He needed an infiltration specialist who knew how to crack corporate vaults and look good while doing it.

Leo walked over to his dark coat, reaching into the inside pocket to pull out the silver transponder Sierra had given him in District 6.

He activated the encrypted frequency, waiting as the private comm line chimed through three secure relays.

The channel clicked open, followed by the rustle of silk sheets and a sultry yawn.

"Well, well," Sierra purred over the speaker, her voice playful.

"Look who decided to use my private line. Did you miss me already, shadow boy?"

"I have a business proposition for you," he answered with a faint smile, leaning his back against the terrace door.

"Business?" she laughed softly, the sound of ice clinking in a tumbler echoing over the audio feed.

"You broke into an Apex high-rise with me and vanished into the night with an alien crystal. What kind of trouble are you planning now?"

"How do you feel about raiding a five-hundred-foot luxury casino yacht in District 3?" he asked calmly.

There was an electric silence on the other end of the line before Sierra let out a low whistle.

"The Golden Leviathan?" she asked, her voice dropping into a sharp register.

"That yacht has four layers of biometric encryption, twenty private meta bodyguards, and a sub-deck vault that is anchored to the ocean floor."

"And inside that vault is an artifact I need," he said.

"Along with forty million credits in bearer bonds and untraceable syndicate chits that belong to anyone fast enough to take them."

"You certainly know how to talk to a woman," she answered, a thrill of excitement coloring her words.

"I matched your voice to a District 9 freight registry after our last job, Leo. A professional never leaves her partner unidentified."

"I should have expected that," he replied with a dry laugh.

"The security on that yacht is brutal, Leo. The pit bosses carry shock batons, and the main promenade deck is covered by retinal scanners."

"What is your plan for getting past the maritime security perimeter?" she asked.

"We do not sneak onto the hull from the water," Leo replied.

"We walk through the front entrance in formal wear as high-rolling guests."

"High-rolling guests?" she repeated, a wicked chuckle vibrating through the speaker.

"You mean I get to play the glamorous heiress while you stand beside me looking tall, dark, and lethal in a custom tuxedo?"

"Just make sure you do not bring that crowbar onto the roulette floor," she teased.

"It is a blade now," he reminded her with a dry smirk.

"And it fits nicely inside a tailored jacket lining."

"Even better," she purred, her tone brimming with flirtatious anticipation.

"I will have two VIP invitations, forged identity chips, and a bespoke tuxedo delivered to your sector by noon."

"Make sure you are ready to dance, handsome," she added with a seductive laugh.

"When we hit that casino floor, all eyes will be on us."

"I will see you at the marina docks tonight, Sable," he said, cutting the connection with a confident smile.

Leo lowered the transponder, looking back into the bedroom as morning sunlight bathed the room in warmth.

The clock was ticking, the target was locked, and the heist for the second Genesis Shard had officially begun.
