My Child and I Married a Billionaire

Chapter 441: A Little Trick

Amina was too naive; she couldn’t possibly imagine what scheme Faye Fisher was cooking up, so she answered honestly.

"But I don’t have his number. He drives me crazy. I don’t want to see him or get his calls, and I’d never call him myself, so I deleted his number a long time ago. I deleted his wife’s number too. Why do you want their numbers?"

On second thought, Faye Fisher figured that made sense. ’That bastard was so awful to Amina, why would she keep his number?’ she thought.

"No number, no problem. We’ll just have to pay them a visit in person. You’re not working today anyway. Let’s go see for ourselves how those dogs die."

With that, Faye Fisher dragged Amina out of the hospital.

Amina was in no mood to appreciate the beautiful scenery outside the window, her eyes fixed on a leisurely driving Faye.

"Where are we going?"

"To the film studio. We’re going to find a couple of extras."

"Find actors?"

Seeing the confused look on her face, Faye Fisher said,

"You don’t have to worry about a thing. Just wait and see."

Soon, they arrived at the film studio.

Men and women, young and old, were standing around languidly by the roadside. Faye Fisher spotted a middle-aged woman with a pretty good figure and looks and walked straight over to her.

"I want to hire you for a short drama, one week, 200 a day. You in?"

The woman had been worrying about not having any work. It was a scorching hot day, and she hadn’t even been willing to buy herself a bottle of water. Seeing a job offer pop up, how could she possibly refuse?

"Yes, yes, yes! Are you a director or a producer? Where are we going?"

"I still need a male actor. Recommend a reliable one for me, and if he’s good, we can all go together. I’ll explain the details then."

The woman immediately called her boyfriend over.

"What do you think of him?"

He was an actor, after all; his figure and skin were decently maintained. More than enough to deal with two cowards who preyed on the weak. Faye Fisher nodded.

"Alright, follow me."

Outside the film studio were a few fast-food restaurants and a coffee shop. Faye Fisher led them into the coffee shop and explained the basic situation.

Only then did Amina realize that Faye wanted this man and woman to seduce her uncle and aunt, respectively.

The so-called "destroying the enemy from within" was to have them cheat on each other.

When the pair heard it wasn’t actual filming, but something similar, they exchanged a look and muttered to each other.

The woman said, "This kind of job is risky. We could get beaten up, or... you know. 200 a day is too little."

"What ’you know’? You’re not actually thinking of sleeping with him, are you?"

The woman’s words made Faye Fisher laugh.

"Every single line of your online chats needs to be screenshotted and sent to me. I’ll also be supervising your offline meetings remotely. Don’t be ridiculous. Even if you wanted to sleep with him, I wouldn’t give you the chance. 200 a day isn’t bad. If you can finish the job early, even if it only takes a day or two, I’ll still pay you for the full seven days. How about that?"

The two conferred again, decided the job was doable, and agreed.

"So, when do we start?"

"Right now."

Faye Fisher left her car where it was, rented another one near the film studio, and drove Amina and the two actors to the vicinity of the uncle’s rented house.

Amina gave a rough description of her uncle’s place, and the actress got out of the car first, heading off to find an opportunity for a "chance encounter" with him.

Unexpectedly, the heavens were on their side. Just as the woman got out of the car and walked into the alley, Amina saw her uncle swaggering over from a distance.

He seemed to have been drinking; his face and neck were flushed red, and he was swerving unsteadily on his electric scooter.

Faye Fisher quickly called the actress and told her to turn back. The actress saw the uncle’s wobbling scooter and pretended to be on the phone as she walked toward him.

Just as they were about to brush past each other, she cried out and fell to the ground.

The uncle planted a foot on the ground to steady himself, thinking he’d run into trouble.

But to his surprise, when the woman looked up, not only did she not blame him, she coquettishly held out a delicate, fair-skinned hand towards him.

"I’m so sorry, I accidentally bumped into your scooter. Are you okay?"

"Oh, I’ve twisted my ankle. Could you please help me up, if it’s not too much trouble?"

That face, that figure, that skin, that voice... The uncle was instantly captivated. He hastily got off his scooter and pulled her up.

"I’m fine. Are you, are you okay?"

The woman’s voice was soft and sweet. "My ankle hurts, and I scraped my thigh. It’s a little sore, but it has nothing to do with you. It’s all my fault for not watching where I was going."

"Hiss... I don’t mean anything by it, but could I ask you, sir... is there a pharmacy nearby? If it’s convenient, could you take me there? My leg hurts so much I can barely walk."

’Such a beautiful woman, and she’s not even trying to scam me for money,’ the uncle thought. ’I’m not busy anyway, so what’s the harm in taking her?’

The uncle quickly pointed to a pharmacy up ahead.

"There’s one just up ahead. Why don’t you get on? I’ll give you a ride."

"Oh, that’s too much trouble. I feel so bad, sir."

The woman pretended to get on the scooter but acted as if she couldn’t lift her leg.

She really was a competent actress. Her eyes glistened with unshed tears as she looked at the uncle.

"Sir, could you lift me onto the scooter? I really can’t put any weight on this leg."

The uncle lifted her onto the back seat of the scooter.

With the warm, soft, fragrant woman in his arms, who even made a few cooing sounds to go along with it, the uncle was so dazed he couldn’t tell which way was up.

The two went to the pharmacy. He lifted her off the scooter again and helped her inside.

The doctor pinched the woman’s ankle and determined there was no serious injury, but still prescribed some medicated plaster and a spray to improve circulation and reduce bruising.

When it was time to pay, the uncle paid the bill himself to show off his masculine charm.

The woman left clinging to his arm, lavishing praise on his manliness.

"It was my fault for bumping into you, but you still paid for me. You’re such a real man! How old are you, sir? Your muscles are so firm, and you have such a great build. I’m so happy I ran into you. You’re exactly my type."

"And your features are so handsome! You must be from an ethnic minority, right? It’s a shame you didn’t become an actor. Seriously, I think if you’d debuted a few years earlier, Brad Pitt wouldn’t have stood a chance."

The uncle was completely swept off his feet, feeling as if he’d finally met his one true love.

"Where do you live? I’ll take you home."

The woman replied, "My home? I don’t have a home here. I just came to Veridia from out of town to stay with a relative. I was just on my way to her place when I ran into you. You’re actually the first person I’ve met here in Veridia. It must be fate."

The uncle was a little surprised. "You just got to Veridia? So you don’t even have a place to stay?"

The woman said, "Not yet, nothing’s settled. My relative is still at work and probably isn’t home at this hour. I guess I’ll just go sit outside her door and wait."

She made it sound so pitiful. ’Sit outside her door and wait.’

The uncle swallowed hard.

"If you don’t mind, let’s be friends. I know a place nearby that’s cheap and good. I can rent a place for you."

Hearing this, the woman’s eyes lit up, and she hugged his arm even tighter.

"Really? Sir, you’re too kind! Meeting you is such a blessing. Thank you so much!"
