MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1692 1692: A Couple Detours

“…And here we are.”

Gazing at the territory of Ataraxia’s guild in front of them, Valyr faintly nodded in satisfaction after noticing that the buildings were arranged in a way that it blended with the surrounding greenery in harmony.

Though, just as he was in the midst of immersing himself within the beauty of their current surroundings, a thought popped up into the young man’s mind all of a sudden.

Being reminded of what had transpired not long ago, the young man could not help but have a slight frown, glancing at his other self as he faintly shook his head in disappointment.

Taking note of the young man’s actions, Ataraxia could only respond with a slightly wry smile, understanding that the disappointment Valyr felt towards him wasn’t unfounded.

After being asked by the latter as to whether or not he had picked up the armor sets he had forged for him, the former realized that he had not actually gotten anyone to pick up the armor sets whatsoever.

With that, he was also reminded of the time the two met up at the Meltierre Empire branch of the Blacksmith Guild to pay their respects to Lunarossa.

Thinking about how his arrival at the Blacksmith Guild was a great opportunity to stash the armor sets Valyr had forged for the members of his guild, Ataraxia felt both somewhat embarrassed and shameful as he told the young man the opposite of what he wanted to hear.

Though this response caused Valyr to consistently let out sighs after that, the young man understood the circumstances that led to his other self forgetting about the armor sets.

And so, the two decided to let bygones be bygones with a brief discussion after that, only to then make a slight modification to their plans by taking a brief detour to the Meltierre Empire.

Once there, the two headed straight for the Blacksmith Guild, swiftly arriving at Valyr’s private workshop where all of the armor sets he had forged for Ataraxia still resided.

Seeing that none of the armor sets within the workshop were taken away, both Valyr and Ataraxia let out faint sighs of relief, with the former even beginning to feel a bit of gratitude towards Byron.

After all, if Byron hadn’t done anything to protect the contents of the workshop he was occupying, then it was highly likely for all of the armor sets he had forged to be taken away without him knowing about it.

And thus, while his other self finally stashed away the armor sets into his spatial bracelet, Valyr sent a message of thanks to Byron for having someone keep an eye on his workshop the entire time.

Receiving a response from the latter that the act wasn’t much at all, the two then proceeded to talk about their next plans for a bit, with Valyr informing Byron that he was planning to spend the next few months focusing on his ascension to Rank 5.

At the same time, he decided to inform Mystia and Julian about it, as well as Noel and the others he still kept contact with.

To no surprise, all of them told him to take as much time as he needed in their replies, causing his heart to warm up as he read through their messages one by one.

After asking Byron to send him a message regarding the empire’s next forging request, the two then left the Meltierre Empire through the guild’s Teleportation Hall, allowing them to appear within the heart of Algerie Kingdom not long after.

Though the two were planning to head straight to the Algerie Imperial Treasury the moment they arrived, Julian’s unexpected appearance near the entrance of the Teleportation Hall caused their plans to be somewhat delayed.

Nevertheless, the two did not mind it that much, considering that the man had also shared with them updated information regarding the ongoing war against the orcs and the elves.

Bidding farewell to Julian after a lengthy talk, it was only then did the two finally arrive at the Algerie Imperial Treasury, only to be greeted by an old man in a butler suit the moment they arrived.

Hearing that the treasury was expecting their appearance for quite some time now, the two did not delay any further, following behind the old man as they were led to specific areas that contained the treasures they could choose to obtain.

Seeing as Ataraxia had the lower ranking between the two, the three eventually stopped at the area that contained the treasury’s two-star treasures, which referred to special items that held immense allure to those at the peak of Rank 2.

Being told by the butler that he was allowed to choose any of the two-star treasures within the area they were at, the young man went ahead and scanned through all of the treasures that were available.

By the time a few minutes had passed, Ataraxia had made his choice, which were a pair of special fruits that would boost all of his stats by 10 points once consumed.

After confirming with the young man that those fruits were the choices he would make, the trio then delved deeper into the treasury, eventually arriving at a part of the treasury that seemed to have been left untouched for many years.

With both Valyr and Ataraxia taking note that there were two rooms they could choose from, the old man went ahead and explained that the one that had more items was the area that contained the treasury’s four-star treasures.

On the other hand, the one that had items on various pedestals was the area that contained the treasury’s Royal-grade treasures.

“As the champion of Algerie Kingdom’s Myriad Prodigies Tournament, I am obligated to remind you that you could choose to obtain either three four-star treasures or a single Royal-grade treasure from this treasury,” said the old man to Valyr.

Nodding in understanding, Valyr then made his way to the room of four-star treasures, taking in all of the various items within the room that would have taken a normal person a long time to obtain.

After getting a good idea of the items he could choose among the four-star treasures, he then proceeded to head towards the room that contained the Royal-grade treasures, his expression pensive as he looked at their descriptions one by one.

Once done going through all of the items that were available for him to choose from both rooms, the young man eventually returned before Ataraxia and the old man, his eyes slightly closed as he gave the reward some thought.

“I’ve decided.” Fortunately, it did not take much longer for him to come to a decision, giving the butler that led them into the treasury a calm expression.

“I’d like to choose…”

“…”
