Chapter 1578: Entering the Realm

Chapter 1578: Entering the Realm

“…Pavilion Draconica sure is generous.”

As these words left Thomas’ mouth, Ataraxia looked at the nine other guilds entering the Realm of New Horizons with them, having already arranged themselves in the order they’d be entering.

Of course, as one of the stronger third-tier guilds within the group, the peak third-tier guild had arranged Azure Coalition to be near the front of the line, specifically being the second group to enter the dungeon.

“Not only are they paying 5,000 Deltas per set we collect,” continued the man as the group slowly trudged forward. “But they’re even willing to pay that amount to all nine guilds it invited.”

“25 million Deltas is undoubtedly a lot of money.” Ataraxia nodded in agreement, only to shrug his shoulders soon after. “But if you’ve done research on them beforehand, then you know Pavilion Draconica can afford to spend at least this much.”

“Yeah.” Thomas nodded in return, with the others also nodding not long after.

While Ataraxia’s group were briefly discussing how generous Pavilion Draconica was with its request, the leader of its guild turned to look at the nine guilds as he gave them one final reminder.

“Before our groups enter the Realm of New Horizons, we’ll have one of our members stay outside the dungeon to distribute the rewards that I’ve mentioned earlier.”

Sweeping his gaze over the nine groups, Starblood_Dragon slightly nodded. “Just in case you’ve already forgotten, we will be paying you 5,000 Credits for every Greater Horizon set you obtain.”

“Thus, the more you collect, the better.”

Feeling like he’d gotten all 10 guilds on the same page once more, it was only then did the man turn to look at the gate that led to the Realm of New Horizons, opening it as he led Pavilion Draconica’s group into it.

“Alright, everyone.” After making sure that everyone from Pavilion Draconica had entered the dungeon, Ataraxia had every member in his group do one last check as he stared at the gate before them.

Turning around to look at Malutar, he gave the man a slight nod before turning back to look at his members.

“Let’s do this.”

With a few words of encouragement, the Azure Coalition slowly entered the Realm of New Horizons, with Ataraxia being the last among them to enter the dungeon.

Whoosh!

After feeling like they’ve been transported to somewhere far away for quite some time, Ataraxia and his group soon found themselves in the middle of a large stone room.

Although it wasn’t as large as the stone room they were in back at the Great Veldanyr Labyrinth, the group still thought that they’d choose this room over the monotonous one back at the labyrinth.

Though, that was mostly because the room they were currently in was fully lit with magic.

Glancing at the large door that reminded him of the dungeon’s entrance gate, Ataraxia closed his eyes for a bit before arranging the members of his group according to their respective roles for the exploration.

“Since this is the first time our guild is exploring this dungeon… what’s our plan?” Once he was done arranging them, Alisa decided to ask the young man for more information on their current strategy. “Should we have our reconnaissance team scout ahead or something?”

“Not really.” Ataraxia shook his head, only to ponder over the question a bit more before correcting himself. “Well… not until later, that is.”

“Later?” Watching their leader head to the center of the main group, Alisa and the others gave him a look that contained both confusion and curiosity. “Does the dungeon have branching paths or something?”

“It doesn’t,” replied Ataraxia, quickly shutting down the wild ideas in their heads. “The Realm of New Horizons is a linear dungeon that has its difficulty split into layers. The leader of Pavilion Draconica mentioned that part about the dungeon earlier, no?”

“He did.” Alisa nodded in return, with everyone also nodding in agreement soon after. “If that’s the case, then why would we have to send our reconnaissance team out later?”

“I’ll tell everyone once the time comes,” Ataraxia replied, letting out a calming breath as he led the main group towards the large door.

“For now, our goal is to reach the 30th layer.”

Creak…

Moving to the front of the main group, the young man went ahead and pushed the large door as hard as he could, allowing everyone to see the near-infinite path that made up the Realm of New Horizons.

Though this sight caused some of the group to feel a hint of dread, once everyone took note of the enemies before them, that feeling of dread soon spread out to the entire group.

“Grieeegh…”

“Graagghh…”

Not far from where they stood, Ataraxia and the others took note of a large group of goblins wandering about, their small bodies giving off a faint murderous aura.

Continuing to assess the first enemies they’d be up against, they soon noticed that the goblins didn’t actually wander around that much, with most of their movements being blocked by the semi-translucent barrier at the rear of the large goblin group.

“See that barrier there?” With his attention still affixed towards the barrier, Ataraxia pointed at it as he called for his group’s attention. “To dispel the barrier, we’ll have to kill all of the goblins that are currently in front of us.”

“Seriously?” Thomas and the others shuddered at those words. “I know the entire guild has gotten a lot stronger than before, but I don’t think our group is capable of killing that many goblins.”

At those words, the majority of the group nodded in agreement.

Though they didn’t have an exact number on how many goblins there were ahead of them, the group was certain that the number of goblins they had to face was around 2,000 at the very least.

Seeing how wary his group was towards facing the first batch of the dungeon’s monsters, Ataraxia felt both pride and embarrassment at their actions.

’If this dungeon was actually difficult, their wariness would definitely be appreciated,’ thought the young man to himself, inwardly shaking his head.

’But to think the sight of over a thousand peak Rank 1 goblins is enough to scare them…’

Not wanting to waste more of their time dawdling at the dungeon’s spawn point, the young man decided to give them a wake-up call. “Use your identification skills on them.”

“You guys are worrying over nothing.”

“Nothing?” Although he still felt like it was a bad idea to fight against the goblins, Thomas listened to his friend’s command. “With how strong the player base has gotten, those goblins have got to be at least peak Rank 2, right?”

Ding!

“…Eh?”

“Peak Rank 1?”

Hearing the words that left the man’s mouth, everyone else in the group went ahead and used their identification skills on the goblins, only to obtain the same answer Thomas did when he looked at his screen.

With that, it didn’t take long for the group’s stance on the dungeon to change.
