Chapter 1577: The Guild’s Request
Chapter 1577: The Guild’s Request
After confirming with Malutar that a guild named Horse Enthusiast Union did exist and that it was led by someone named SylvesterStallion, it did not take long for Ataraxia and the others to more or less be ready for the exploration.
“Before I begin, I would first like to thank all of the guilds here for coming and joining us on this exploration.”
Standing in front of the nine leaders of the other guilds, Starblood_Dragon stood before the gate with a confident smile on his face, his gaze briefly sweeping through everyone.
“I’m sure all of us here have done a bit of prior research before coming here,” said the man, prompting all of the leaders to faintly nod in agreement. “After all, who would accept an invitation to head someplace where death was the only outcome?”
“With that being said, I’m sure everyone also knows what kind of dungeon the Realm of New Horizons,” he continued, his expression now serious. “Unlike other dungeons, the Realm of New Horizons does not have any difficulty setting to it.”
“However, that loss in difficulty setting is made up for by the near-infinite number of layers one could explore through the dungeon.”
“Of course, at this point, some of you might be wondering… why gather the power of 10 guilds to explore the Realm of New Horizons? Isn’t it just a dungeon that reliably drops set equipment and skills?”
Hearing those words, the other people that came along with their respective guilds nodded in agreement, considering that many of them grinded at Realm of New Horizons for that same reason in the past.
Unsurprisingly, some of the guild leaders also agreed with his statement, with Malutar nodding along as the man continued to speak.
However, while the others were continuing to listen to Starblood_Dragon, Ataraxia instead began to ponder over the man’s words, forcing the gears in his mind to quickly turn.
’Now that I think about it, why didn’t I question it before?’ thought the young man to himself, passively listening to the man on the side. ’Sure, it might have been used as an aptitude test in the past, but no one in Greater Beyond right now has even thought about doing that.’
’There must be some other reason why he invited so many guilds to come here…’ murmured Ataraxia, the gears in his mind continuing to turn as he rummaged through his treasure trove of memories.
In the end, just as he figured out the reason why their guilds had gathered to explore the Realm of New Horizons together, Starblood_Dragon spilled the reason why he had asked all nine guilds to join them.
“The reason why I’ve asked your nine guilds to accompany Pavilion Draconica into the Realm of New Horizons is because… of this.”
Whoosh!
Taking out a necklace from his back pocket, Starblood_Dragon raised it high up for everyone to see.
’I knew it.’ Seeing the necklace the man held up, Ataraxia immediately knew that he had hit the mark, feeling a hint of dread wash over him a few seconds later.
’He wants our help in grinding the dungeon’s rare accessory set.’
Aside from being a good source of items and a way to test their guild members’ aptitudes, the Realm of New Horizons had one more thing up its sleeve that enticed both guilds and independent players alike to grind it over and over again.
And that was… their accessory sets.
As far as Ataraxia could remember, the Realm of New Horizons had three tiers of accessory sets available, which were Lesser Horizon, Greater Horizon, and Beyond Horizon, in that order.
In terms of how easy they were to obtain, the lowest tier could be considered one of the dungeon’s common drops. Even someone who had only gotten to the 10th layer would be able to snag a piece or two from the set.
As for the next tier, one would have to delve a bit deeper into the dungeon.
Thanks to those that constantly grinded the dungeon for said accessory set, it was eventually confirmed that the Greater Horizon set began to drop once one went past the 40th layer.
On the other hand, the rarest set among the three, Beyond Horizon, only began to drop once one reached the 90th layer of the dungeon.
Not only that, but the chances of a piece of the Beyond Horizon set was incredibly small, with only a single piece of the set dropping after 100 runs that reached the 90th layer.
Then again, the rarity of the Beyond Horizon set was well-deserved, especially if one were to find out its effects.
Though the individual pieces of the Beyond Horizon set did not offer much of a boost to one’s stats, completing the entire set increased all of one’s stats by 10%, which was pretty much equivalent to a Legendary-grade title.
As for the Lesser Horizon and Greater Horizon set, those set gave an all-around stat boost of 2% and 5% respectively.
Nevertheless, even with those sets giving that much stats, that still made them quite a hot commodity among players, especially for those who did not have that much time to grind the dungeon out.
“What I have right here is a piece of an accessory set called the Greater Horizon set,” said Starblood_Dragon, his voice echoing throughout the clearing. “According to the necklace, once the Greater Horizon set is completed, one would obtain a 5% increase to all of their stats.”
Hearing those words, many of the people in the clearing let out oohs and aahs in response, with members of the Azure Coalition not being exempt from that reaction.
On the other hand, Ataraxia remained silent as the man continued to explain the benefits of the Greater Horizon set.
“In short, Pavilion Draconica is asking for your guilds’ help in obtaining more pieces of the Greater Horizon set,” said the man, his gaze towards the leaders containing a hint of pleading. “In total, we would like to obtain around 1,000 copies of the entire set.”
“…Of course, the guild will certainly make your efforts all the more worthwhile.” Seeing the slight frowns appearing on the guild leaders’ faces, Starblood_Dragon hurriedly continued with his explanation. “For every piece of the Greater Horizon set you obtain, the guild shall pay you 5,000 Deltas.”
’Considering how each set has five pieces, that’s 25,000 Deltas right there,’ thought the young man as he raised his eyebrow in interest.
’Although it would be difficult for Azure Coalition to obtain all 1,000 copies, it wouldn’t be difficult for it to obtain around 200 copies of the set. That’s a million Deltas right there.’
As the idea of earning a million Deltas came to mind, Ataraxia slowly began to imagine how he would use that money to improve the guild back on Earth.
Though, just as he was about to continue heading down that train of thought, a question related to the discussion suddenly popped up in the young man’s mind.
“…Mind if I ask a question?” Just as Starblood_Dragon was about to ask everyone to head to the dungeon, Ataraxia went ahead and asked him a question.
“What is it?”
“Is the Greater Horizon set the only accessory set you need from the dungeon?” he asked, his expression slightly curious. “What about the Lesser Horizon set?”
“We do not have any need for it,” replied Starblood_Dragon after seeing the question also pique the other guilds’ interest. “Pavilion Draconica only wants the guilds’ help in obtaining more Greater Horizon sets.”
“Any other accessory sets you obtain while exploring the dungeon, your guilds are free to keep.”
“I see.”
Hearing those words, Ataraxia immediately knew he had a way to kill two birds with one stone during this exploration.
