Milf Acquisition System
Chapter 20: Marble Edge
Lucas looked down at the notification hovering over Camilla’s shoulder. The System was demanding an immediate physical escalation to secure her trust.
He dismissed the glowing blue text and focused on the woman holding his lapel.
Camilla green eyes blazed with a challenging fire. She wanted to see if the bold words he spoke for the cameras and in the restaurant were just a manufactured act.
She was waiting for him to hesitate.
Lucas did not hesitate.
He raised his hands and placed them gently over hers. Her skin was warm and her pulse hammered a frantic rhythm against his thumbs.
He did not pull her hands away from his suit. He simply stepped forward and closed the final inch of space between them.
The scent of dark cherry and vanilla enveloped him.
"You want me to prove it," Lucas murmured. His voice was low and steady.
"I want to see if you actually have the nerve," Camilla whispered back. Her breath ghosted across his jawline. "You threw away Victoria’s leverage for me. You lied to the press for me. Now I want to know what you are going to take for yourself."
Lucas slid his hands up her arms. He gripped her shoulders through the pristine fabric of her white blazer.
He used his Micro-Motive Perception to read the subtle rigidness in her posture. She was acting aggressive but her body was braced for disappointment.
She fully expected him to break eye contact or offer a polite excuse.
He lowered his head and brushed his lips against the corner of her mouth.
It was a deliberate and agonizing tease. He felt her breath hitch in her throat.
She stiffened in his grip. He trailed his lips along her jawline and pressed a soft open-mouthed kiss just below her ear.
A quiet gasp slipped past her lips. The dominant tycoon persona fractured under the sudden heat of his touch.
"Lucas," Camilla breathed.
He did not kiss her yet. He rested his forehead against hers and let the silence stretch.
He wanted her to feel the wait. He wanted her to understand that he was in no hurry at all.
His thumb traced a slow line along her cheekbone. Her grip on his lapel loosened one finger at a time. Her eyes drifted down to his mouth and stayed there.
She held out for three long seconds. Then she tilted her chin up and closed the distance herself.
He met her halfway. He shifted his grip and tangled his fingers into the dark hair at the nape of her neck.
He tilted her head back and finally captured her lips with his own.
The kiss did not start as a gentle exchange. It was a collision of corporate warfare and raw physical tension.
Camilla kissed him back with the same aggressive hunger she used to dominate a boardroom. She rose on her tiptoes and pressed her body flush against his chest.
Her hands slid up his chest and gripped the fabric of his shoulders.
Lucas maintained his Somatic Composure to keep his own heart rate from exploding.
He met her aggression and slowly overpowered it. He deepened the kiss and swept his tongue against hers. He tasted the faint lingering flavor of espresso and expensive mint.
He walked her backward.
Camilla stumbled blindly for two steps before her lower back hit the edge of the massive marble coffee table in the center of the living room.
The cold stone stopped her retreat.
Lucas stepped between her legs and pinned her against the marble edge. He did not break the kiss.
He let his hands drop to her waist. He slid his palms under the hem of her white blazer and gripped the soft fabric of her silk blouse. The heat radiating from her skin was intoxicating.
She let out a soft frustrated moan into his mouth. Her hands abandoned his shoulders and moved to his hair.
Her manicured nails scraped lightly against his scalp.
The resistance she had built over a lifetime of corporate paranoia was melting away. She believed his lie.
She believed he had chosen her over Victoria and the physical proof of his desire was dismantling her final defenses.
Lucas pulled away just enough to let them both breathe.
Her eyes were dark and blown wide with lust. Her chest rose and fell in rapid erratic waves.
The pristine white blazer was pushed off one shoulder and her lipstick was thoroughly ruined.
She looked nothing like the cold magnate who had mocked him in the Vertex Management office days ago.
"You are relentless," Camilla whispered. Her voice was raspy and uneven.
"I am just getting started," Lucas replied.
He did not rush back in. He cupped her jaw and brushed his thumb across her ruined lipstick.
He kissed her again but this time it was slow and unhurried. It was a lazy and thorough exploration that made her knees visibly weaken against the table.
Camilla made a small impatient sound. She was used to setting the pace in every room she walked into. He refused to give her that control.
Only when her fingers were clutching his shirt in silent demand did he finally move his hands again.
He reached down and unfastened the single button holding her blazer closed.
He pushed the heavy tailored fabric off her shoulders and let it drop to the floor.
She was left wearing a sheer white silk blouse that clung tight to her curves.
Camilla did not protest. She reached for the top button of his dress shirt. Her fingers were trembling slightly.
She managed to undo the first two buttons before giving up and sliding her warm palms directly against the bare skin of his chest.
Lucas groaned quietly. He grabbed her waist and hoisted her up.
Camilla let out a startled laugh as he lifted her onto the smooth surface of the marble coffee table.
She wrapped her long legs around his hips to pull him closer. Her high heels scraped against the back of his calves.
The power dynamic had shifted entirely. She was looking down at him but she was the one surrendering control.
Lucas leaned in and pressed his lips to the exposed skin of her collarbone.
He used the knowledge from his System skills to target the sensitive nerve clusters along her neck. He bit down gently and dragged his teeth across her skin.
Camilla arched her back and gripped the edge of the marble table to steady herself.
"Wait. Lucas."
"You told me to prove it," Lucas murmured against her neck.
He slid his hands up her thighs. The smooth silk of her trousers offered no resistance.
He traced the curve of her hips and slipped his fingers under the waistband of her slacks. He felt the rapid hammering of her pulse beneath his touch.
The tension in the room was suffocating. He was seconds away from pushing the encounter past the point of no return.
A loud electronic chime shattered the heavy silence.
The heavy metal doors of the private elevator suddenly began to slide open.
Camilla gasped and shoved her hands against his chest. Lucas stumbled back a frantic step and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
Silas stood in the elevator doorway.
The PR director was holding a digital tablet and staring at his phone.
Ads by PubFuture"Ms. Verman," Silas announced without looking up. "I realized I walked out with the secure run-of-show tablet for the charity gala and I need to transfer the digital credentials to your—"
Silas raised his head and stopped speaking.
The PR director took in the sight of the penthouse living room. The white designer blazer was crumpled on the floor.
Camilla was sitting on the marble coffee table with her silk blouse unbuttoned at the top and her hair in a wild mess.
Lucas was standing a foot away with his dress shirt pulled open and a flushed look on his face.
The silence in the room stretched into an agonizing eternity.
Silas slowly lowered his tablet. A deep shade of red crawled up his neck. He looked like a man who had just accidentally walked into a live minefield.
"I am so sorry," Silas squeaked. His professional demeanor evaporated instantly.
Camilla hopped off the marble table. She smoothed down her silk blouse and took a deep steadying breath.
She did not look embarrassed. She looked like a predator who had just been robbed of a meal.
"Leave the tablet on the entry console Silas," Camilla ordered. Her voice was cold and sharp. "And tell the building concierge that if anyone else uses the override code for my elevator today I will have them fired."
Silas placed the digital device on the nearest table with trembling hands.
"Understood Ms. Verman. I apologize for the intrusion."
He hit the elevator button and practically threw himself backward into the cabin. The heavy metal doors slid shut and sealed the penthouse in silence once again.
Lucas stood in the center of the room and tried to slow his racing heart.
He looked at the System notification hovering near the window.

Camilla walked over and picked her white blazer off the floor. She tossed it onto the sofa and turned to face him.
The heavy lust in her green eyes was slowly being replaced by sharp focus.
"We need to get ready for the gala," Camilla said softly.
She walked over and traced her finger down his chest one last time.
"But do not think you’re off the hook."
"I wouldn’t want to be," Lucas said with a smug.
