Maybe My Soulmate! (GL)

Chapter 315: Prime city 7.

The road they had been following had finally reached a natural stopping point.

They had come to the heart of the Southern Continent.

They had seen the greatest city in the region.

They had met its strongest sect.

They had left the strange ancient mysteries behind.

And now, without them even asking, another road had opened in front of them.

Mo Yuxin looked at Su Yubing.

"Do you want to go?"

Su Yubing smiled.

"Wherever you go."

Mo Yuxin’s eyes softened.

"Then we’ll go."

Behind them, the city erupted into noise.

The Tang Sword Sect elders rushed toward the messenger.

Thousands of cultivators began discussing the sudden announcement.

Merchants hurried to prepare.

Sect disciples stared at the sky.

And in the middle of all of it, Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing stood together under the festival lanterns, holding hands as if nothing in the world could separate them.

The little girl stood between them.

She looked toward the distant mountains.

Then she asked, "Where are we going next?"

Mo Yuxin looked at Su Yubing.

Su Yubing smiled.

Mo Yuxin turned back toward the road.

"The Central Continent."

The little girl blinked.

"Is it far?"

Mo Yuxin thought about the last journey.

"Hopefully less far than the last one."

Su Yubing laughed.

"We’ll see."

Mo Yuxin wrapped an arm around Su Yubing’s waist and pulled her close.

"Whatever happens, we stay together."

Su Yubing rested against her.

"Always."

The lanterns above them swayed gently in the night wind.

For once, there was no ancient destiny waiting to claim them.

No forgotten past was calling them back.

No mysterious city was asking them to remember.

Their old mysteries had turned out to be exactly what they should have been, old things that had already happened and no longer deserved to control their lives.

The world was still enormous.

There were still powerful sects they had never seen, countless cities they had never visited, secret realms they had never entered and stronger cultivators hiding beyond the horizon.

That was enough.

Mo Yuxin was happy.

Su Yubing was happy.

They had the freedom to travel wherever they wanted.

So they stayed in Prime City for another week, ate far too much food, bought clothes they did not need, watched sword demonstrations, wandered through the markets, and spent long evenings together by the river.

Then they packed their things.

The little girl stood beside them with a small bag over her shoulder.

Zhao Wen and his companions came to say goodbye.

Tang Rui came as well.

The Tang Sword Sect elder personally escorted them to the city gate.

"You two are always welcome here."

Mo Yuxin nodded.

"Thank you."

Su Yubing smiled.

"We enjoyed the city."

The elder looked toward Tang Sword Mountain.

"Perhaps one day, you will return."

Mo Yuxin looked at Su Yubing.

"Probably."

Then they began walking.

The road to the Central Continent stretched ahead.

Behind them, Prime City glittered beneath the morning sun.

Ahead, the great continent waited.

Mo Yuxin walked with one hand holding Su Yubing’s hand and the other carrying their bags.

Su Yubing leaned close against her side.

The little girl walked a few steps ahead, excited about whatever food they might find next.

Mo Yuxin looked at the road.

Then she looked at Su Yubing.

"Yubing."

"Hmm?"

"Next time we find an ancient gate, we’re walking around it."

Su Yubing laughed.

"Agreed."

Mo Yuxin smiled.

They continued forward.

The Southern Continent slowly disappeared behind them.

The Prime City remained shining in the distance.

And somewhere far beyond the western mountains, the route toward the Central Continent was already beginning to open.

But this time, there was no rush.

There was no prophecy.

There was no ancient voice.

There was only another journey.

And Mo Yuxin, as usual, stayed close enough to Su Yubing that their shoulders never stopped touching.

The two women walked toward the next horizon together.

Neither of them knew exactly what waited in the Central Continent.

Neither of them cared very much.

They would see it when they arrived.

For now, they had each other.

And that was more than enough.

Their first few days in Prime City after the festival announcement became unexpectedly peaceful, and Mo Yuxin quickly discovered that the biggest danger in the city was not a sect elder, a hidden enemy or a forbidden formation. It was Su Yubing seeing something she liked in a shop.

On the second morning, they passed through the clothing district. Prime City had cultivators from all parts of the Southern Continent, so the shops carried everything from simple robes to expensive battle outfits. Some clothes were woven from spirit silk, some were made from beast fur, and some could change color when spiritual energy was circulated through the fabric. Su Yubing stopped in front of a shop displaying a pale blue dress with silver thread woven through the sleeves.

Mo Yuxin stopped too.

The little girl walked three steps farther before noticing that nobody was following her. She turned around and saw them.

"Again?"

Su Yubing looked embarrassed.

"I only looked."

Mo Yuxin nodded.

"Then try it."

"I don’t need another dress."

"Try it anyway."

The shopkeeper had already noticed the situation and was smiling.

"Madam has excellent taste. That dress is made from Cloudwater Silk. It is light, comfortable and resistant to ordinary sword qi."

Su Yubing looked at Mo Yuxin.

Mo Yuxin immediately said, "We’ll take it."

Su Yubing sighed.

"You didn’t even hear the price."

"The price doesn’t matter."

"That’s not a healthy attitude."

"It is a very convenient one."

The little girl giggled.

Su Yubing eventually tried the dress.

When she walked out, Mo Yuxin became quiet.

Su Yubing noticed.

"What?"

Mo Yuxin looked at her for a few seconds.

"Beautiful."

Su Yubing’s ears became slightly red.

"You could at least pretend not to stare."

"Why?"

"Because people are watching."

Mo Yuxin looked around.

Several customers immediately looked away.

"Let them."

Su Yubing smiled.

"You’re getting more shameless."
