Then both spoke together.

"If you are seeing this, the city has forgotten again."

A voice came from it.

"She is not beneath the city."

"She is the city."

"I don’t like this place."

"Then we leave."

Su Yubing looked at the tower.

"Can we?"

"Yes."

Luo Tianhe stared at them.

"But what about the city?"

Mo Yuxin looked toward him.

"Your city isn’t asking us to save it."

"Then what is it asking?"

"It is asking us to remember something."

The old man became quiet.

A moment later, the entire tower flashed.

A map appeared in the air.

The Southern Continent.

Homeward City.

Skyfall City.

And beyond Skyfall City, a vast red mark appeared over an unknown region.

Su Yubing stared.

"That’s not on any map."

"It shouldn’t exist."

The location was deep inside the Southern Continent.

Several thousand kilometers past Skyfall City.

She memorized it.

Then the map changed again.

A road appeared.

A very old road.

It began at Homeward City and continued all the way to the red mark.

At its end was a symbol.

Two overlapping rings.

It was the same symbol she had seen on the ancient mirror in the ruined sect.

Su Yubing noticed too.

"The seven lanterns."

Mo Yuxin nodded.

"Yes."

The city lord looked between them.

"What are you talking about?"

She looked at Su Yubing.

"We were supposed to go to Skyfall City."

Su Yubing smiled.

"We still are."

"But now there is a road."

"Of course there is."

"And probably trouble."

"Definitely."

Mo Yuxin sighed.

"I wanted a quiet journey."

Su Yubing leaned against her.

"You married me. Quiet journeys were never going to happen."

Mo Yuxin smiled.

"That’s true."

They left Homeward City the next morning.

The city lord wanted to organize an enormous farewell ceremony.

Mo Yuxin refused.

He wanted a fleet of flying ships.

They walked for two days.

On the third day, they found a small river.
