Celestine grimaced and then tried to retreat. Asher let her, not trying to stop her.

Celestine retreated some distance away from Asher. Asher didn’t chase after her and just looked calmly at his sword that was now stained with the blood of Celestine and the other boy.

Then Asher shook the blade hard, clearing the blood from it.

And then he looked at Celestine, who was trying to stop the bleeding by pressing her other hand on the wound, but it was of no use now; the cut was too clean.

Her face was full of a grimace, and her eyes were full of fear as well, hiding anger in them.

Asher looked at her, then yawned, and then started walking towards the boy, who had his hands cut and his eye sliced. He was trying to crawl away from Asher, but it was of no use; Asher easily reached him. The boy heard the sound of footsteps approaching him and then raised his arm and started firing mana bullets towards Asher, but Asher easily dodged them all. Then he swung his sword and cut both the boy’s arms through from his shoulders; the boy screamed in pain.

Asher muttered in annoyance, "Annoying", and then he swung his sword once again; it went towards the boy’s neck and then cut his neck, cutting his larynx, part of his neck, making him unable to breathe and make voices.

The boy couldn’t even scream in pain now and was instead gasping for air as well as screaming internally in pain.

But since Asher is the kindest person in the whole universe, he didn’t let the boy suffer more; he raised his sword again and thrust it straight into the boy’s stomach, then twisted the blade. The boy shook violently as he felt the sword twisting.

Asher took the sword out of the boy’s stomach; there was now one more injury on the boy’s body. The blood kept bleeding at a rapid rate, and he couldn’t breathe; then he soon died after a moment of writhing in the pain.

After the boy was eliminated, Asher turned his head toward Celestine, then smiled and said, "I hope you didn’t have to wait long, Princess Celestine."

Celestine saw the whole thing that happened to the boy- him trying to scream and writhing in pain. It was too painful even to see; she was feeling pain even by observing him, and then here was Asher, who was smiling while he did all that to the boy, as if he was enjoying it.

Now he looked at Celestine, and she knew what would happen to her; her body began to tremble "You really enjoy and like torturing and killing?"

Asher smile turned to confusion, and then he said, "That is blasphemy!, I don’t like killing. I know how precious life is, so I don’t kill unless it is necessary."

And then he paused for a moment and then shrugged and continued, "I do enjoy killing; if I really had to kill, I should enjoy it to the fullest so that the person I am killing, that person’s death could be of use to others."

"As for right now, it is just a game. No one is going to die for real here, and games are meant to be enjoyed. Didn’t you read the terms and conditions for this game?"

Asher then started walking towards Celestine.

"You should have read the terms for this test, princess. There is no need for me to go easy on you, so I hope you are ready for what is about to happen now."

Celestine watched Asher approaching her. She knew she had no chance of winning, considering the difference in skills between them. If she continued fighting him, she could only expect to suffer a painful defeat at his hands.

For a moment, she even considered giving up rather than being slowly tortured by him before he eliminated her.

But if she did that, there would be nothing left of her pride, which was already in shambles after her many defeats against Asher over the past few months.

She couldn’t accept that.

Celestine tightened her grip on her sword and decided to fight. But as she watched Asher approach with calm steps, she couldn’t shake the dread.

The more Asher got closer to Celestine, the more fear she felt.

And when Asher was just about to reach within range to attack her, the fear took control of her mind, and then she did what she didn’t want to do.

She cut her own neck with her own sword before Asher could even attack her.

Celestine body fell to the ground after she cut her neck with her own sword. After falling to the ground, she writhed for a moment, and then finally her body came to rest as she died and was eliminated.

Asher looked at the place she was lying, and then he muttered in confusion, "Am I really that ugly, that she got so scared that she also took her life, or is she really afraid of pain that much?"

"Whatever, I guess this is enough for today."

And then Asher felt his body disintegrating, as well as his surrounding world, and then everything went blank.

Then Asher heard the sound of something opening; it was the sound of a virtual simulation capsule opening.

Asher came out of the capsule and then looked around; everyone else was coming out just now. Even if they were eliminated before, they were still asleep and only woke up after the test ended.

Asher took out his mobile, checked the time, and started walking out of the training room because it was almost time for lunch.

The staff didn’t try to stop him or say anything and just let him pass, and then, after he left, they announced the result.

The mood in the training room was cheerful and solemn; those who didn’t meet Asher in the test had cheerful expressions, and those who did had faces full of despair and fear.
