Maybe I really am a Villian
Chapter 268: Depression solved
Adam looked behind him, where Asher was now standing with the vial in his hand, and then, before he could do anything, two mana hands appeared around him, and then they took hold of him by his arms so that he couldn’t run away. Adam instantly tried to resist them, but he couldn’t; they were too strong, and he wasn’t even surprised by that. There was no way he could resist the mana hands made by Asher. He then looked at Asher, who was now looking at him with an evil smile on his face.
"Asher, what are you trying to do?" Adam asked in a trembling tone.
Asher replied, "Just helping you be free from whatever you are trying to be free of by dying", while also moving the vial in his hand towards Adam’s mouth. Adam looked at the vial in Asher’s hand with a scared expression.
If it had been someone else, he might have thought the vial just contained something other than poison and was trying to scare him, but knowing Asher, there could surely be a poison in it.
"I was just joking, Asher! Don’t take this seriously. I am perfectly fine now," Adan said in a trembling tone.
Asher then stopped his hand as he heard this. Seeing that Asher had stopped, Noah sighed in relief, but then Asher said, "Sorry, I have already opened the vial now. If I don’t use it now, then it will go to waste, so you have taken this now."
Asher said this casually, as if he was offering him a cold drink instead of poison. Adam looked at Asher with wide eyes and then said in a tone filled with fear and anger; all the deadness had disappeared from his face now "Just stop, madam. Are you seriously going to poison me just because I overreacted a little bit? I was joking; now stop" But Asher didn’t stop, and before Adam could even say something, Asher opened Adam’s mouth by summoning one more mana hand and then made him drink the whole thing forcefully.
Then he finally let go, and the Mana hands disappeared.
Adam looked at Asher with wide eyes and then asked in a trembling tone, "Hey, was it really poison!?"
And then Noah was the one who said: "Of course it wasn’t; there is no way it is poison, is it, Asher?"
Asher turned his head towards Noah and then said in a confused tone, "Of course it was poison, idiot."
"See, it was just real poison, nothing else", Noah said in a casual tone, and then he turned towards Asher and said in a loud tone ", What did you say!?"
Asher replied casually, "It’s a master rank poison used by assassins to kill a target while making sure the target doesn’t even notice anything wrong with his or her body."
Noah looked at Asher with wide eyes and then at Adam, who was now in shock. Then his expression turned a little sad, and then he said in an apologetic tone, "Sorry, Adam, but it seems our journey together has come to an end. You were a good friend; I’ll be sure to remember you once a year after you pass away."
Then Noah joined his hands together and started praying in a quiet tone.
Adam looked at Noah, who was now praying and then said, "Hey, bastard! I am still alive; stop praying like I am already dead."But Noah didn’t stop and kept praying, completely ignoring Adam.
Adam then looked at Asher and then said in a tone filled with despair, "So how much do I have till the poison starts acting?"
Asher replied calmly, " 5 minutes, unless you take the antidote."
Asher then took out a pill from his subspace and tossed it at Adam, and said, "Here, take it. You have 3 minutes and 12 seconds before you die."
Adam immediately caught the pill and then swallowed it without any hesitation or water. Only then did he sigh in relief, but his expression turned strange. He placed his hands on his stomach and looked at Asher. "What is happening now?"
Asher replied casually with a smile on his face, "Nothing, it’s just a reaction between poison and Antidote, so now you need to visit a toilet."
Adam looked at Asher and then muttered, "You annoying bastard." After saying this, he ran out of the room and towards the toilet.
Noah also stopped praying and looked toward the door where Adam had run off.
He then looked back at Asher and gave him a thumbs-up, speaking in an impressed tone.
"Wow, that was really good. You actually fixed his depression in just a minute."
Asher didn’t reply and simply returned to his seat and sat down.
Aria looked at him and said in a casual tone,
"That was too extreme, even for you. But it really saved us some time, so I guess it worked."
Asher simply shrugged and didn’t say anything.
After that, the three of them waited in silence for their order to arrive.
Eventually, all of their food arrived, and the waiter carefully placed everything on the table.
The waiter then glanced toward Adam’s empty seat, and before he could ask anything, Asher calmly said,
"He is okay now. He’s in the toilet and will return soon, so you can go and do your work without any worry."
The waiter nodded and left without asking any further questions.
The three of them then started eating.
After some time, Adam finally returned and quietly joined them without saying much about what had happened earlier.
They continued eating normally, and after finishing their food, Asher took the ice cream he had asked the restaurant to pack for him.
The four of them then left the restaurant.
After leaving the restaurant, Noah looked at the Asher asked curiously’"Why are you even taking so much ice cream? Don’t you already have a big stock? Are you preparing for war or something?"
Asher looked at him with a surprised expression.
"Yeah. How did you get to know?"
