In hindsight, their attempts to kill him felt like a joke.

“What are your thoughts, Baili Zilin?” Chen Hui asked with a mischievous grin.

“I would have slapped the old me to oblivion if I could,” Baili Zilin said, and then he really slapped his own face. He was the one who had sparked the grudge between Chu Feng and the Netherworld Sect, after all.

“Screw you!” the old entity roared.

He angrily hurled a powerful punch toward Chu Feng. This punch harnessed not just spirit power but martial power as well.

He had gotten a grasp of the old entity’s means from his earlier battle with Song Changsheng.

The old entity was nigh unkillable. Even with the formation Chu Feng had placed on the Lightning Flame Sword, the most he could achieve was to inflict pain on the old entity. This was evident from how the old entity was swiftly healing from his injuries right now.

Other than that, the old entity also could absorb energy and use it to counterattack. He had used this ability against Song Changsheng earlier, so Chu Feng was guarded against it.

The Netherworld Sectmembers began to panic once more. They didn’t fear death, but they were worried about Chu Feng.

The old entity’s silhouette appeared in distant space. He laughed so hard that he even bent over. “Chu Feng, do I look dumb to you? What made you think that I’d stand still and let you hit me? I might be unkillable, but that doesn’t mean that I’d just let you hit me. It’s not as if I can’t dodge your attack, so why should I suffer for no reason?”

He smirked in glee. “I was merely taunting you to step into my ambush formation. Now, I shall give you a taste of what I’m capable of!”

The old entity was extremely excited. He formed a hand seal, and the ambush formation began to transform.

But the next moment, his eyes suddenly widened in shock. He sensed that Chu Feng had abruptly disappeared from his ambush formation.

“Is that all?” Chu Feng’s voice echoed from behind the old entity.

Chu Feng plunged the Lightning Flame Sword into the old entity, causing the latter’s face to distort from sheer pain. But instead of screaming, the old entity formed a hand seal, invoking the means he had prepared.
