Married the Sick Uncle – Just Waiting to Inherit His Fortune

Chapter 355: He Is Not Ethan Linden, but Nathan Fawcett

  • Next Chapter

Anne Sutton stood in the private room, peeking outside. Ian was also there, looking worried. "Mom, will Dad be okay?"

Anne Sutton said, "He’ll be fine. Don’t worry. You wait for me here."

Afraid that Ian would see the scene outside, Anne Sutton closed the door and walked out. She looked at Ryan Linden and said, "Ryan Linden, you’ve got a lot of nerve. Have you forgotten where you are?"

When Ryan Linden saw Anne Sutton come out, he said, "You bitch, you’re here too!"

He hadn’t dared to curse Anne Sutton like this in front of Nathan Fawcett before, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t dare now.

He’d had enough of Anne Sutton!

After all, it was Anne Sutton’s meddling that had made Anna Linden disappointed in him.

Otherwise...

The person taking over the company today might have been him, not Noah Linden!

Nathan Fawcett glared at Ryan Linden. "What did you just say?"

Ryan Linden said, "Yeah, I insulted her. So what? What are you going to do to me?"

As he spoke, Ryan Linden waved his hand and said to the men he’d brought, "This woman is all yours. Do whatever you want with her. Have your fun, even if you kill her! I’d love to see what Ethan Linden can do today. Let’s see how he plans to handle me!"

With that, Ryan Linden’s men charged forward.

Anne Sutton hadn’t expected them to be so brazen.

She yelled at Ryan Linden, "Ryan, there are security cameras here! Have you lost your mind?"

’In broad daylight! The nerve of him!’

"So what if there are cameras?" Ryan Linden looked at Anne Sutton dismissively. "You think I’m scared of a few cameras? Move it!"

With that, he signaled his men.

The men charged toward Anne Sutton.

Watching this unfold, Nathan Fawcett shot over to Ryan Linden’s side. He’d produced a fruit knife from somewhere and pressed it against Ryan’s fat neck. "If your men lay a single finger on her, I’ll kill you today. You’d better believe it."

Ryan Linden thought Nathan Fawcett was bluffing and paid him no mind. "Grab that woman for me first," he ordered.

The moment he spoke, Nathan Fawcett’s knife pressed deeper, drawing blood from his neck. "It seems you want your son to be planning your funeral, do you?"

Nathan Fawcett looked at him coldly, his eyes devoid of warmth.

Ryan Linden never thought he would go this far.

After all, the old Ethan Linden was a very gentle person.

He wouldn’t even dare kill a chicken, but now, he actually had the guts to kill a man!

Ryan Linden said, "Ethan, I’m your brother! You’d dare kill me for this woman?"

Hearing Ryan Linden’s words, Nathan Fawcett let out a cold laugh. "Are you an idiot? Do I look like Ethan Linden to you? Do you think Ethan would be standing here, holding a knife to your throat? He’d probably be standing obediently before you, calling you ’brother.’ Even if you bullied him, he wouldn’t fight back, would he?"

"You’re not Ethan?" Ryan Linden froze, asking in disbelief.

Nathan Fawcett’s lip curled. "What do you think?"

"So, you’re Nathan Fawcett? You’re that bastard from the Fawcett Family?" He’d gone to Westhaven before, trying to find photos showing a resemblance between Nathan Fawcett and Ethan Linden. But the pictures he’d found were all of the old Nathan, who looked decadent and grim; there was no discernible similarity to Ethan.

That was why he’d let his guard down. He never imagined that now, Nathan Fawcett would admit his identity voluntarily.

Nathan Fawcett said, "Now that you know, you’d better be careful. I won’t be as merciful with you as Ethan Linden was!"

Ryan Linden said, "You actually admitted it! You’re not Ethan Linden at all. What right do you have to the Linden Family inheritance?"

"And haven’t I already returned everything of the Linden Family’s to you?" Nathan Fawcett said. "I’m done playing the part of Ethan Linden. I’m not afraid to tell you now—that’s right, I am Nathan Fawcett! What are you going to do about it?"

Before, Ryan Linden would have done everything in his power to use this information to oust Nathan Fawcett from the Linden Group.

But Nathan Fawcett had already been suspended by Anna Linden.

There was absolutely nothing Ryan Linden could do to him!

Realizing this, Ryan Linden cursed in a rage, "Damn it! You bastard, you deserve to die!"

Nathan Fawcett said fiercely, "Take your men and get the hell out of here. Otherwise, it won’t be me who regrets this!"

Anne Sutton stood to the side, watching the scene unfold. She hadn’t expected Nathan Fawcett to confess his identity at a time like this.

More importantly, she realized that when Nathan Fawcett said all this, he seemed to feel a sense of catharsis.

’Does he really not want to be Ethan Linden anymore, or return to the Linden Family?’

’Is that why he doesn’t even care what the Lindens think of him?’

Ryan Linden said, "Let me go! I’ll leave, alright? I’m leaving!"

Nathan Fawcett looked at him. "So now you want to leave?"

Ryan Linden said, "What else can I do? It won’t look good for anyone if this scene continues!"

While they were struggling, Mrs. Sutton arrived. Seeing the confrontation without knowing the details, she had already called the police.

When Nathan Fawcett saw Mrs. Sutton looking at him, he was afraid of frightening Anne’s family and finally moved the knife away.

Ryan Linden pulled back, and seeing an opening, he grabbed a nearby object and hurled it at Nathan Fawcett.

"Watch out!" Anne Sutton cried out in alarm.

Nathan Fawcett raised a hand, deflecting the ornament Ryan had grabbed. He then swung the knife back at Ryan, slicing off his little finger.

The scene was so shocking that Anne Sutton herself jumped in fright.

Ryan Linden clutched his hand, writhing on the ground in pain. When his men saw what Nathan had done, they were terrified. No longer daring to charge in, they scrambled to help Ryan up.

...

「In the hospital.」

A doctor was reattaching Ryan Linden’s finger while Nathan Fawcett stood nearby. His white shirt was stained with blood, and his face was expressionless, like a demon straight out of hell.

Anne Sutton had only ever seen this unhinged side of Nathan Fawcett back at the Fawcett Family estate.

Ever since he became Ethan Linden, he had become much more restrained.

Now that he was Nathan Fawcett again, he seemed to have reverted to his former self.

She was almost afraid to go near him.

Anna Linden walked over. "What happened?"

Lying on the hospital bed, Ryan Linden’s eyes filled with tears when he saw her. "Auntie, Auntie, look at Ethan... no, he’s Nathan Fawcett! He cut off my finger. Auntie, you have to do something about him!"

Anne Sutton stood aside, watching Ryan Linden. He was already a father, and so fat he weighed nearly two hundred pounds.

A man of two hundred pounds, yet when he felt wronged, all he could do was tattle!

’He must have forgotten who was the one who’d stormed into the restaurant, intending to wreck it.’

Anna Linden glared at Ryan Linden. "What nonsense are you talking about? What Nathan Fawcett?"

Ryan Linden said, "Auntie, stop trying to fool us! He admitted it himself. He said he’s Nathan Fawcett, not Ethan Linden! See? I told you he wasn’t Ethan! If he were Ethan, how could he treat me, his own brother, like this! He’s just that bastard from the Fawcett Family!"

"Watch your mouth," Anne Sutton said, looking at Ryan Linden. She couldn’t listen to this any longer. "What do you mean he’s a bastard from the Fawcett Family? Isn’t he your aunt’s son?"
