Chapter 34: Kares hunting in the night

"So your family’s bloodline ability is Absolute Command, right?" Arthur said while his arms wrapped around Ava’s sexy slim waist.

"Hmm~ yeah, but looking at the CCTV recordings, it doesn’t look like my family’s bloodline ability and that for one simple mistake—"

"You mean the move they did right after the phone call?" He asked remembering what everybody did right after the phone call, they massaged the bridge of their noses.

An act that could be ignored as it didn’t look suspicious at all, but when looking at it from a bigger picture and seeing that all of them right at the same time did the same act, then things would look different.

"Yeah, when I use Absolute Command, the victim doesn’t look as if he/she is affected at all, they will look normal, besides in some cases, we use partial control to command the body rather than the mind. And both are different." She explained.

"When commanding the mind, the body will move as an extension, the orders will be the lead but nothing like doing certain moves or acts will occur as we can see in the camera recordings. But when we use partial control, we can command certain parts of the body other than the brain. For example, telling your hand to kill you or pluck your eyes, at this you won’t be able to stop your hand because it is not under your control anymore." As she said so, her eyes gleamed enthusiastically as she remembered those days when she used to play with others using her ability.

"So you are saying that what we see in the recordings is a simple mind control not your bloodline ability which is basically higher form of mind control if we look at it from that angle." Arthur said after thinking about her ability for a moment.

"Absolutely not, darling! Mind control is working through suggestions being put in the mind while mine is absolute, can’t be denied. What they did after the phone call was like a delay or lag due to the user being far away from the victim." She immediately refuted as she didn’t believe that both were same while from Arthur’s point of view, both were related with one of them, Ava’s own, being a higher version than than the other.

"Leave us at that, Ava. Do you suspect someone?" Feeling if that the subject about mind control and her bloodline ability might take longer than necessary, Arthur shifted the topic back to the recordings.

He wanted to know if Ava was suspecting someone to be responsible for using mind control on these employees.

Ava thought for a second before sighing as she leaned back against him.

"I don’t know, nothing comes to mind, but if we are talking about mind control, then I can only think of demons, they are famous with that kind of thing, especially the succubuses, they are hella annoying bitches!"

"Calm down now. Tell Kares what is happening." His deep magnetic voice reached her ears making her visibly relax and nearly moan as she could feel his hot breath against her sensitive ears.

But nonetheless, she messaged Kares on the phone.

After few moments, she replied.

"Oh, they are her employees. They were found dead next day after this was seen on the CCTV." Ava said with no change in her expression as if she didn’t care about what was happening with Kares.

But Arthur looked intrigued about this.

’Is someone targeting her?’ That was the first reason that came to mind when he thought about it.

"Does Kares has any enemies or someone that may hold grudge against her or even hate her."

"As far as I remember, no. Maybe the relationship between her and her father is not that good but that doesn’t mean that there is a grudge or hate."

"Not that good?"

"Yeah, they doesn’t talk much and the time she did was only through her mother, Terra."

Arthur nodded at her while resting his cheek on her head thinking for a moment before he felt it wasn’t worth it.

He doesn’t know her and she doesn’t have any kind of close relationship with him except business relations of course.

’Let’s not think about it. I guess she will handle her things well.’ As he thought so, he took Ava in his arms as he walked out of the room to enjoy their time in better ways which made her squeal and get excited.

On the other side with Kares.

It was night already and the moon was hanging up in the sky casting its silver beautiful light upon the world.

It seemed lonely as there were no stars to accompany it tonight.

At the top floor of the Blue Company, Kares was sitting in her office running through some final documents with a cup of fresh blood beside her that was brought to her by her private secretary who was sitting in the same room with her on the sofa that was in front of the office. This one was different than the one who she talked to during the day.

She too was running through some documents with another cup of fresh cold blood beside her.

Her name was Amy.

She had a simple black wavy hair and black eyes with soft and delicate features making her look simple yet beautiful.

But her body was another thing, as it was explosive in its own way that any man would drool over.

"Did you finish, Amy?"

"Yes."

"Good, then let’s go and capture our little rabbit." A subtle smile spread across her face as she said so.

"Are you sure about this?"

"Of course I’m sure about it. And don’t worry, I have my designs for the night."

Amy nodded before both she and Kares prepared themselves and left the office.

Deep into the night, two figures were moving across the tall buildings of New York completely shrouded in the dark.

Were moving swiftly and fluidly without breaking a sweat going to distances with a speed no one could comprehend.

"How far the target went?"

"To the second street on the right 50 meters from us."

Those of course were Kares and Amy who at some point was wearing a maid uniform rather than a business suit.

"Ith stopped for a moment then continued moving but this time, they went left into an alley." Amy said as she was carrying a device that looked like a phone showing the location of red dot moving through the alleys.

The screen showed where the target was heading to in details while showing the required distance to reach it.

"Let’s follow." As Kares said so both of them followed the moving red dot deel into the dark alley without any hint of hesitation.

As Amy looked at the device, she noticed that the red dot stopped moving and felt like as if it was standing or waiting for them in other words.

Both moved left then right before going left again until they stood in a clear area seeing a man wearing a classic business suit and standing right there in front of the wall right in front of them.

He looked so calm and quiet like then trees in the breeze.

This man was one of her employees, exactly the one in the HR department responsible for giving several employees a leave without any hesitation.

No one talked or spoke for a good five seconds before an old, rough, and deep voice came.

"It’s really an honor to finally meet the glorious Kares V. Blu personally~ Can I get an autograph?"
