Chapter 35: Dead?

"Well well, it’s nice to see the beauty of the Blu family, Kares Vuban Blu~" The voice sounded sinister and laced with a hint of mockery.

Then out of the dark corners, a figure came out walking at his own pace.

The man was wearing a dark cloak that concealed most of his face except that sinister smirk of his.

On the other hand, Kares looked composed despite several questions running through her mind while Amy was ready for any surprise attack at her lady.

"Who are you?" Kares said in a calm and collected voice that made her look as if the situation didn’t affect her at all.

The man in the cloak smiled even more at her calm and cold composer.

"Really sharp as they say. Well, it won’t matter." He said making Kares curious about his words as she was already thinking of many different scenarios in her head for this situation.

And clearly whoever they are, they are targeting her, and that’s for a reason she wants to know.

"We are a group of people who wanted to make a name for ourselves in the supernatural world, and you, young lady, are our ticket for that."

This immediately made Amy nearly attack him if not for Kares stopping her.

"You are talking big for a mere human that has no power or anything to back yours words up. This is just foolish arrogance."

"Heh, talking about arrogance when your whole family are a bunch of brain dead arrogant fools." The man laughted in a mocking way.

"I can agree to that to some extent. But comparable to you, we have what it’s necessary to back up our arrogance."

Hearing this, the man immediately gritted his teeth as he felt so angry by her words.

"Then let’s see who got the right to be arrogant!" As he said so, several men in dark cloaks walked out from several dark corners completely surrounding Kares and Amy.

And all of them had that mocking and sinister smiles that could make anyone want to punch them.

But despite that, neither Kares nor Amy looked nervous or anxious at all. Rather, Kares was so clam and was even having her lazy yet subtle smile on as if amused by a bunch of monkeys trying to entertain her. While Amy though didn’t look troubled and was ready for any sudden attack.

Then everyone of the cloaked men took out daggers, they all had the same design.

But Kares once looked at them, felt instinctive repulsion as if she didn’t want to go near them at all.

’Holy weapons? And that many?’ She thought as she could feel the holy energy surrounding these daggers.

"My lady—"

"I know, Amy. I didn’t know that holy weapons were this cheap to be given to a bunch of monkeys." Her voice had that hint of mockery and disdain as she looked down on all of them without exception.

But her words and that arrogant look made all of them furious and indignant.

"Kill her!" The man shouted signaling for the others to move and kill Kares. To her, these foolish human beings were thinking so high of themselves that they forgot that they had no power to stand toe to toe against a supernatural being. Though they could barely fair against a very weak race, they wouldn’t stand a chance against a higher one like Vampires.

Immediately, the temperature around dropped dramatically to beyond the zero degree making ice appear and the cold penetrating their cloaks to their skin that they trembled and felt it was difficult to move.

"You are so foolish as humans. You even stopped using your brain which should be your strength. That’s a complete shame, don’t you think?" As Kares’s cold voice came out, everyone looked at her with terrified expressions as they stood in their place unable to move an inche, their bodies weren’t listening to them at all.

All their muscles, bones and marrow, they all freezed making them look like human statues.

"Though I wonder how could you get your hands onto this many holy weapons."

The man from before was looking at her with eyes red with anger and killing intent as he felt humiliated by her words.

And Kares seeing him wanting to say something, was curious before easing her powers a little making it easy for him to speak, and rather than cursing or saying some bad words to her, he smirked crazily before saying—

"You are dead! Kares Vuban Blu!" Just as he so, Kares felt that there was something wrong with his words as he looked so confident and sure about it.

And before she could ask him, a golden ray of light descended upon her in the next moment without any warnings or introductions.

And Amy who should have been beside her lady was affected by the blow and thrown back several meters until she collided with a thick brick wall before falling down.

Though she was affected, she still looked fine and in a better shape, besides, her high regeneration immediately kicked in as she started to heal.

She looked ahead at where Kares should have been standing hoping to see her lady but she only saw rubble and a crater instead.

And this made her eyes dilate at the horrible thought that crossed her mind at this moment.

’No, it can’t be—’

"Hahaha finally we got rid of that bitch! Ahhh that felt so good!" The man said showing a very satisfied smile on his face as he looked at the crater where she should have been, but found only nothing.

"It didn’t even leave anything behind. That’s a shame I wanted to see her wrecked body so bad. Whatever, let’s get ride of the other one then spread the news all over the supernatural world. Today, they will fear us for we got rid of a high noble vampire so easily!"

The man said as he could see the ice melting and the temperature going back to normal. At the same time, Amy was already standing looking furious as her eyes glowed blood-red as a deep and heavy killing intent was coming out of her making some of the cloaked men tremble with fear, but nonetheless they were determined to kill her as well.

And with this they would announce to the world that the human race was better and stronger than gods and that they don’t need them anymore.

"Hahaha I could already see it, the fear and awe in their eyes as they know how we killed a high noble vampire easily!" The man who was now could be considered their leader laughed before others followed as they pounced on Amy with their daggers already aimed to cut her head off.

Which would be very dangerous as she wouldn’t be able to survive if she got stabbed by that dagger. To her this would be game over.

And before she could even move or decide to move—

Thud!

Her head fell off as one of them came from behind and cut her head off while cackling sinisterly. The others didn’t spare nothing as they cut her to multiple pieces with their sharp and holy daggers.

Her body was cut first in half, then evey half was cut in half while the skull of her head was broken before her brain matter came out and scattered around.

They stomped on her brain turning it into a very disgusting scene that the stomach couldn’t take.

But they didn’t just stop at that.

They began taking out her heart, liver, kidneys, stomach, pancreas, eyes balls and so on, then they began stomping om them as well until they all turned into meat paste.

The scene was so gross making anyone sane enough to comprehend this want go think that he was dreaming before running away with all that he got or even pass out on the spot.

At the same time, their leader was watching this with eyes filled with satisfaction and slyness.

He really loved this scene as it proved that they were superior and stronger than higher races.

"Soon, everyone would know about us, the saviors of humanity and their protector. The Loop is watching us."

Meanwhile, back at the Vane’s mansion.

Arthur was sleeping in his room with Ava hugging him tightly as she rested on top of him while he was caressing her long black silky hair making her purr like a cute kitten in her sleep.

But to him, his mind was occupied by the incident of today when Kares sent the camera recordings to Ava.

Though it wasn’t his problem as a matter of fact, his mind kept drifting to today.

Did he think he could help her.

Though money can’t buy anything, it can at least solve nearly hundered percent of the problems.

But in a supernatural world, it held little to no value as strength was the ultimate currency in the supernatural world.

Only the strong could do whatever he wanted and no one would be able go stop it.

’It just bothers me, like why Kares will be targeted? Maybe enemies or old debt?!.’ Arthur couldn’t help but think about it.

"Anyway, let’s sleep for now. " As he said so, he closed his eyes as he hugged Ava before sleeping peacefully.
