Chapter 154: Athena Again?

"Not this again..." Tyler muttered into the dark abyss. This time, Athena was standing and waiting for him.

"Well, Tyler, you still haven’t bothered taking my advice and finding a balance, have you?" she asked with a large smile.

"Working on it." Tyler laughed while shaking his head. "I’d say my wives having limitless systems is a step in the right direction."

"I agree with that. Why did you choose a phoenix?"

"You should know that answer. I’ve been with Ash since I got here, and if there’s anyone I could learn from, it’s definitely him."

"So you still selected that, knowing your end result is becoming a god?"

"Absolutely. If he stays an Eidolon or can’t pass on, I can always give him to one of my children. That seems like a much better fate than being trapped in an endless cycle of randomness," Tyler said with a calm smile.

"You have grown significantly in a short amount of time. I have a message for you from Paradise," Athena said while touching Tyler’s hand.

"Hello, Tyler. I am Zeus, creator of the gods. By now, you should be meeting with my eldest daughter. You might be wondering why I am sending you a message like this. As gods, we are unable to interfere in the matters of the galaxies. Because of this, you will not receive assistance even from the demigod Cyrus Vayne. These are my direct orders and something you and your wives should begin to understand. If and when you become a god and your wives become goddesses, you will live under my rule and do as I say. The test to destroy the Death Valley faction was sent to Bahamut by me. Dark magic is a very dangerous thing. Most people would have killed Fex. You gave him a second chance. This gives me hope that you truly wish to rid the world of darkness, and I hope one day you and Ash are both able to become gods. Yes, your favorite familiar is no longer cursed. Please share the good news with him. I feel it is a just reward to allow him to return to his full power. This war will be long and grueling, and all of us are counting on you."

Tyler smiled and relaxed.

"Thanks, Athena. How are my wives and familiars? How much time has passed this time?"

"Not long. Just a night. Return to Vexarra. Those are my father’s orders. Do the interview with Tommy V. What you choose to do with the money, well, that is up to you." Athena faded away, and Tyler’s eyes opened.

"Tyler!" The girls jumped on him.

"Easy!" He laughed.

"What happened?!" Sophie asked while running her hand through his hair.

"Where to start? I’m an Eidolon and a phoenix. Zeus told me the order to take out Death Valley was his, and we have to return to Vexarra." Tyler sighed.

"Give it a try, champ." Ash chuckled.

’System, turn me into my phoenix form.’

[Stand by.]

Tyler changed into a phoenix the size of a blue macaw. Rather than being red like Ash, he was white with a black beak and his eyes were his normal colors to match his human form. He had just a flicker of golden aura swirling around him. He flew around the room and noticed he could speak.

"Whoa, this is amazing!" he exclaimed.

"We can hear you?!"

"Guess so! This is pretty cool. Maybe one day one of our kids will be able to summon me or something." Tyler’s beak smirked while he shifted back into his human form.

"Someone’s naked again!" Amanda giggled.

’System, please equip clothing.’ Tyler laughed as his school uniform wrapped around him.

"Your aura is really warm and cozy." Kass smiled while giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"It feels really good," Amanda said while hugging him.

"Let’s go see Bahamut!" Tyler said cheerfully.

They teleported to the throne room and were surprised it was empty.

"Huh?" Tyler said while looking at a floating note.

"Tyler, return to Vexarra. We are out taking care of the Pacifist Faction. It is important they see our rule as well. Be well."

Tyler opened a portal to his apartment, and they immediately turned on the news. They exhaled in relief as nothing had changed in the week and a half they had been gone. Tyler’s phone had over 400 notifications.

"Holy fuck."

"Mine’s bad too..." Nyxara said calmly. "My aunt and uncle want to see us. I’ll tell them later."

"I have to do an interview with Tommy V, and it has to be one on one. I guess he’s offering me a million credits. I guess I should give it away." Tyler shrugged.

"It’s not like we need it for anything. Now that we’re vampiric royalty, doesn’t that mean we have access to most of those funds?" Sophie asked Nyx.

"Well, I wouldn’t say we should go draining all the finances, but yes, the vampires are quite well off. I know the estate is worth over a billion credits, so you should definitely donate it to the victims suffering from the attack. I’m sure some of the elves lived?" Nyx looked at Amanda.

"None that were initially attacked, but there are elves at all the schools and in different areas of Vexarra. I think that would be a good sentiment. You could even do it in the interview." Amanda smiled.

Tyler picked up his phone and called the dean. Dean Pritchett was ecstatic and gave him Tommy’s assistant’s phone number. After about an hour, he was scheduled for a big interview at noon the next day. He had to ask Tommy what day that was, which made him chuckle.

"It’s Friday tomorrow, dude. Are you willing to go full access?" he asked nervously.

"Yes. There is almost nothing I won’t answer. I also have a big surprise in store for you, so I think your viewers will get a kick out of it. Also, if you could please donate all the money to the elven relief efforts, I’d greatly appreciate it."

"That’s a very kind gesture, and I’ll match it on stream. I’ll send you the address. Wear a suit," Tommy said before hanging up.

Tyler yawned, and everyone piled into bed.

"Well, tomorrow night is all Amanda’s." Tyler smirked.

"Yay!" She clapped.
