League of Legends: The Bastard Prince of Demacia

Chapter 510 - 510: A Perfect Hunting Ground

"This human is obviously plotting something."

Naafiri leaped forward from the distance, speaking cautiously. "Watch out for a trap. We've already been burned once by the Aspect of Twilight."

In her eyes, Luke's behavior was clearly abnormal.

"Plots and schemes are meaningless before absolute strength." Aatrox paid no attention to Naafiri's warning. "I, Aatrox, will never fall the same way twice. You're welcome to hide in the gutter like the mongrel you truly are."

With that, he suddenly shot off in the direction Luke had gone.

The other Darkin said nothing and followed one after another.

They already found that human boy incredibly irritating, especially Ibaaros. He absolutely had to see Aatrox kill him.

Watching their figures disappear into the distance, Naafiri felt helpless.

She had never been particularly welcome among this group. They had all once been Darkin, but they had ultimately belonged to different factions.

Yet after awakening in this age, she had realized that only by uniting all the Darkin could they truly become the rulers of Runeterra.

If she backed away now, all the effort she'd put in until this point would probably be wasted.

Still, that human boy was obviously up to something.

After thinking it over again and again, Naafiri ultimately decided to follow them and see what happened.

If things went wrong, she could always run.

Luke flew through the air at tremendous speed while sensing the Darkin auras following closely behind him.

Before long, the enormous Void rift appeared in his field of vision.

The energy in the Void teleportation crystal Bel'Veth had given him had probably all been spent opening this rift.

Upon reaching the entrance, Luke deliberately stopped.

He looked toward the approaching Aatrox, gave him a provocative stare, then entered the Void without hesitation.

Not long afterward, Aatrox and the other Darkin stopped before the rift.

"The Void, is it?"

Aatrox looked at the opening and chuckled.

"Interesting. I can sense those Aspects inside too."

"Why would that human bring us here?" Ibaaros asked in confusion. "Could he be trying to use us against the Void?"

None of the Darkin present were fools.

By this point, Luke's intention was obvious.

"And what if he does want us to fight the Void?" Aatrox looked toward the others. "Are any of you afraid of those filthy insects?"

"Of course not," Ibaaros answered immediately in a deep voice. "The Void has already been defeated by us before. It's simply obvious that the human intends to use us."

"No. If anything, he's done us a favor by leading the way."

Aatrox's lips curled into a grin.

"Those detestable Aspects are here. Why shouldn't we slaughter them while we have the chance?"

Aatrox's goal was no longer to rule Runeterra.

He wanted to bring an end to all of Runeterra.

The Aspects would inevitably stand in his way.

So why not turn this place into their grave?

His words immediately resonated with the other Darkin.

They naturally despised the Aspects and wanted nothing more than to grind their bones to dust.

Now that such an opportunity was right before them, how could they possibly let it pass?

"Let's join this entertaining battle."

Aatrox raised his greatsword and stepped into the Void rift.

His commanders followed one after another.

Luke had already entered ahead of them and immediately saw the Aspects locked in chaotic battle with countless Voidborn.

Corpses covered the ground, piled so high in places that they formed small hills.

Even so, an endless stream of Void creatures continued pouring forth, seemingly without limit, rushing toward the Aspects.

Powerful as the Aspects were, even they were being held back.

Sacred flames blazed around Mihira and Kayle while divine radiance shone from their eyes.

No one knew how many Void creatures their swords had already slain, yet at a glance, both women remained just as holy and immaculate as ever, as though nothing could stain them.

Taric was fighting in another area, but the entire region around him had been transformed into a Gemstone Region.

Brilliant gems of every imaginable color erupted from the ground, filling the area with dazzling light.

Taric walked through the crystalline field like an elegant knight.

Behind him lay nothing but corpses.

Pantheon crashed directly into a mass of Void monsters like a cannonball.

Voidborn surged toward him from every direction, rapidly burying him beneath a mountain of bodies.

But the next second, Pantheon let out a thunderous roar.

A massive pillar of power erupted into the sky and blasted the mound apart.

He swung his spear and shield, killing Void creature after Void creature.

Leona wielded her Zenith Blade like a straightforward warrior, fighting with simple, direct movements devoid of unnecessary flourish.

Yet every attack was lethal.

Even the humanoid Void warriors found it difficult to withstand her attacks head-on.

The Aspects' overwhelming strength was on full display.

But compared to the Void warriors modeled after beings from Runeterra that they'd faced earlier, there were several times as many here.

Thousands upon thousands.

An entire army.

There was no doubt about it.

This place was one of the Void's strongholds.

The moment Luke appeared, the Aspects sensed him.

Mihira immediately shouted, "What are you doing here?"

"Helping you, obviously."

Luke smiled.

"I even brought another group of reinforcements. They're right behind me."

The moment he finished speaking, several powerful auras suddenly emerged from the Void rift.

Aatrox and the Darkin under his command slowly stepped through.

"These are the reinforcements you found?"

Mihira's eyelid twitched violently.

Every Aspect present immediately lost their composure.

Pantheon looked at Ibaaros, who was already charging straight at him, and couldn't help asking, "Are you sure they're reinforcements?"

"They're useful sometimes."

Luke looked toward Aatrox.

"Like it? I picked this battlefield especially for you."

"Not bad."

Scarlet blood energy surged violently around Aatrox as he entered a full combat state.

"Come! Fight me!"

He charged straight toward Luke.

Even after following him into the Void, Luke remained his first target.

After all, this was the body Aatrox had been craving for a very long time.

Luke naturally had no intention of fighting him here.

He accelerated to full speed and plunged directly toward the densest concentration of Voidborn.

Aatrox treated every obstacle in his path with utter contempt.

Each swing of his greatsword left corpses scattered everywhere.

Seeing that even Luke was being chased by the Darkin, the Aspects were rendered utterly speechless.

Kayle included.

She genuinely hadn't expected Luke to pull something this outrageous.

He'd brought the Darkin here to "help"?

Were these insane monsters really reinforcements and not just another problem?

Had this bastard been planning something like this from the very beginning?

Regardless, the Darkin had already been provoked into coming here, and they had entered the battle.

The Aspects could only deal with it.

Naturally, the Darkin's highest-priority targets were the Aspects.

It almost felt like a continuation of their previous war.

Except this time, the battlefield was far more chaotic.

The Void forces weren't exactly weak against the combined presence of the Aspects and Darkin either.

Among them were powerful combatants of their own.

The Aspects had already realized this. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been held back for so long.

With Luke and the Darkin joining the battle, the entire situation descended into complete chaos.

Even Malzahar hadn't expected the Darkin to enter the conflict.

But he knew what the Darkin were.

Their presence might not necessarily be a bad thing.

Perhaps he could even exploit them and turn their arrival to his advantage.

"Sosu, Steelshell, find an opportunity to take the key from him."

Malzahar realized this was also an opportunity.

That human was here.

If they could seize the second key from him, then with the Void holding the advantage of fighting on its own territory, the balance would shift heavily in their favor.

"Yes, Prophet!"

Sosu and Steelshell immediately accepted the order.

They understood how important this was and quickly set out.

Because of the terrain, Luke eventually reached a point where he could no longer avoid Aatrox.

He stopped retreating.

Drawing both swords, he turned and charged directly toward him.

A tremendously powerful sword aura erupted, sharp and unstoppable.

"Come!"

Aatrox raised his massive sword without fear as Luke rushed toward him.

The scarlet greatsword came crashing down.

BOOM!

Their attacks collided.

As their weapons trembled violently against one another, both men felt the tremendous strength behind the other's strike.

Their unfinished battle was finally continuing.

The next second, both unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks.

Every ounce of their combat skill was pushed to the limit.

Sword clashed against sword.

Their sword intent collided as well.

The resulting noise was deafening.

In the distance, the other Darkin were finally seeing Luke's true strength for themselves.

This human could exchange so many blows with Aatrox.

Judging from the fight, the two seemed almost evenly matched.

Just as the battle reached its most intense point, two concealed auras suddenly approached.

Their presence had been hidden extremely well.

Yet Luke and Aatrox sensed them at the same time.

"Vermin!"

Aatrox flew into a rage.

These filthy insects dared interrupt his battle?

He immediately changed targets and attacked Steelshell.

Luke turned at the same moment and slashed toward Sosu, who had attempted to ambush him.

"You noticed even that? You're every bit as troublesome as expected."

Sosu blocked Luke's attack.

Greed filled his eyes as he stared at him.

This human possessed not only the second key but those tremendously powerful runes as well.

He had to take all of it.

Sosu swung his weapon, then used the moment Luke dodged to rapidly create distance.

His body began changing.

The dark armor covering him expanded rapidly until he had completely transformed into a humanoid monster encased from head to toe in armor.

His weapon was a long blade connected directly to the armor covering his arm.

His aura became considerably stronger.

"We don't have much time, so consider yourself fortunate. You'll die against me at my strongest."

Sosu spoke with obvious pleasure.

Then his expression suddenly froze.

He lowered his head in disbelief.

A long purple blade covered in countless cracks had pierced straight through his chest.

A ravenous hunger erupted from within the weapon as it greedily devoured his energy.

"What were you saying?"

Luke looked into Sosu's disbelieving eyes and unleashed the Void Riftblade's power.

Hundreds of fragments erupted inside Sosu's body, tearing through him in every direction and wantonly destroying his flesh.

His ability to resist vanished instantly.

"You..."

Sosu's voice became a broken murmur.

He could no longer finish the sentence.

The light in his eyes gradually faded.

He now understood how Luke's attack had suddenly struck him.

But by the time he realized it, it was already too late.

Sosu had never imagined he would die so abruptly.

The Void Riftblade continued devouring without restraint.

Before long, Sosu's Void energy had become part of the blade itself.

The tremendous amount of energy immediately fulfilled the weapon's requirements for another evolution.

Purple energy erupted from the blade.

The Void Riftblade evolved once again.

Its blade became slightly longer and more slender.

The cracks running across its surface had multiplied until they were densely packed together. If the weapon split apart now, it could produce at least several hundred fragments.

Every other aspect of the weapon had improved as well.

And as far as Luke was concerned, this Void stronghold was practically a farm built specifically for feeding the weapon.

At the same time, Aatrox's greatsword slammed into Steelshell's shield.

A massive crack appeared across the supposedly indestructible shield.

It had clearly reached its limit.

Aatrox brought his sword down again.

The shield shattered on the spot.

At the same time, a deep slash appeared across Steelshell's body.

"Compared to Pantheon, you're still nowhere close."

Aatrox looked at him contemptuously and brought his greatsword down once more.

Steelshell raised both arms and struggled to block.

The powerful muscles covering his body bulged grotesquely like slabs of stone, but he was already at the end of his strength.

He hadn't even managed to make Aatrox feel excited about the fight.

In Aatrox's eyes, this imitation standing before him wasn't remotely worthy of being compared to Pantheon.

Aatrox swung with all his strength.

Steelshell could no longer endure it.

He became just another of the countless souls claimed by Aatrox's greatsword.

Aatrox turned around, only to discover that Luke had already disappeared.

He looked down at Steelshell's corpse with anger and disgust.

"Annoying insect."

Their battle had been ruined after all.

Luke had already moved elsewhere.

Void creatures were everywhere he looked.

He hurled the Void Riftblade.

In an instant, countless purple fragments exploded outward.

Despite their tiny size, their speed didn't decrease in the slightest.

They shot through one Void creature after another like bullets.

Among the swarm were stronger Void warriors as well.

They had all received Malzahar's command to seize the Void Riftblade from Luke, so they charged toward him one after another without hesitation.

Naturally, Luke had no intention of refusing energy that was delivering itself straight to him.

His figure flashed forward like a ghost.

The Void Riftblade and Snowglance struck together, twin swords releasing razor-sharp flashes of light.

The Void Riftblade frantically devoured energy like a beast whose hunger could never be satisfied.

And these Void warriors were the perfect nourishment.

Before long, its requirements for evolution were fulfilled again.

The weapon evolved once more.

The cracks spreading across its surface became even denser, resembling a spiderweb.

After repeatedly devouring and evolving, the blade's overall appearance had become a mixture of violet and black, making it resemble a demonic weapon.

If fully separated now, it could divide into nearly a thousand fragments.

Luke swung it once.

Countless fragments immediately screamed through the air.

Every fragment carried his sword intent, turning each one into a deadly projectile.

The weaker Void creatures were almost instantly consumed by the fragments and transformed into fresh nourishment.

For the Void Riftblade, this place was the perfect hunting ground.
