Novel Full Chapter 1042 Testing the guests
[Rein’s POV: ]
Eon used his new footwork technique.
‘From what I understand, he was using his movement skill, the transportation ability of Asta, his partner weapon, and complex footwork while being in the state of ZONE.’
To use it, he overlapped his movement skill with his weapon’s skill and was able to avoid getting severely injured by the three waves of aura that lord Luthir threw at him.
‘These turbulent waves of Aura were not simple in any manner. Since the nature of his Aura was gaseous, the waves were not like some storm, but a fog.’
My grandfather has the wind like Aura so when he uses it, it creates a storm like phenomenon. However, this was different.
He wasn’t using any power from his authority. He was also not using it Directly.
From what my eyes understood, he uses his Aura to break down the air particles around him, then he infuses those tiny micro particles with his Aura.
He created fog and waves of water with sharpness so great that it could be completely to tiny needles with an edge.
‘It was crazy!’
This was a technique. Not a skill and not any unique magic. He simply used his power in a way that created this certain phenomenon…
‘For someone looking at these sharp waves of particles, it seemed simply like some dark blue energy wave passing in a certain area before him.’
However, the speed at which those hundreds of thousands of microscopic, Aura infused particles moved in that straight path was so… so fucking crazy, that it seemed nearly impossible to defend against.
‘But Eon did survive that wave of violence.’
He came out with a few cuts in various parts of his body, but he was standing tall even after surviving that attack.
“Not many live after going against that one, kiddo.”
I can tell he went easy on him by shooting only three waves when he could clearly use that attack for many more waves at a much greater range than this.
‘It’s actually crazy how these young people can do things I haven’t even thought were a possibility.’
Infusing Aura into the atmosphere, using Aura and weapon movements to create a shield that cancels out a powerful attack, and lastly… using superhuman strength to completely offset the final technique of my darling.
‘The offensive power of the last attack Eon used was destructive beyond what this place could have been able to handle.’
Eon released one law and six articles from Asta and used a new technique to connect his Aura, Mana, and Solnova harmoniously to create an attack so powerful it broke the sound barrier and made the rest of us stop our own duels and glare at the two in awe…
‘The last attack and seeing his own blood perhaps didn’t go well with him— though, that wasn’t because he didn’t like seeing his own blood or anything.’
His mom didn’t like the state he was in and Anna was stunned to see blood in a duel… on her big brother, especially.
‘It wasn’t that lord Luthor was being harsh on him. He was simply respecting the terms of their duel by challenging Eon to a degree that he could handle.’
He was tough anyway. A few scratches was nothing to him.
Anna was worried for nothing… but the very fact that she was worried, did not go well with him.
‘He used an attack which was enough to take down a bunch of (Blue) rank creatures in an instant.’
It was strong, but still, it was nothing compared to the overwhelming strength of a superhuman.
“Boys… they sure know how to play, huh?” That was Lady Mime. And, since I’ve already lost my duel against her, we are watching our darlings happily discussing their duel with one another.
Instead of any Aura techniques, Lord Luthor used a sword technique as well as his sword intent to offset the damage coming from Eon’s destructive attack.
The way he did it seemed effortless, but it was in fact not easy to do at all with all the different kinds of energy and Solnova being present.
He used a powerful technique so it was only natural that the one that won the duel would be Eon. There was no doubt about it… their duel was just that straightforward.
But then there was the duel that Lady Mime and I had.
‘Since she was fighting without her familiar, she was already restricting her powers to a great degree. She was also not using any sort of artifacts and was using her magic without anything like a magic wand.’
She had limited herself considerably, and still, when she attacked me with her Element-less attacks, I almost felt overwhelmed and ended up using my Witchcraft…
‘I fucked up there…’
It was strange that I felt so overwhelmed, but since I had used the witchcraft in order to cut down the attack only, as it flew out of my scythe, it only ended up cutting down the attack and completely erasing it from existence.
‘She called it impressive that I was able to do something so amazing, but then… since I had used that power on a whim, I ended up losing more energy than I should have had the fight gone on naturally.’
I made a mistake, and on a battlefield, this would have been my death… I still fucking don’t understand why I felt like that!
This was strange, but there’s nothing we could do about it anymore, and so… I simply accepted my defeat.
I lost, and Lady Mime won with a single attack… we didn’t even need three attacks like the two of them. And now, I’m freakin embarrassed!
“Seems like those people are done on their end as well.”
Since Eon and I were done, Lord Luthor and Lady Mime will now test Alf and Carla. As well as Zoe and little Anna.

They were looking forward to seeing just how much they had improved, as well as to see how much Anna had learned.
‘They did not know anything about Zoe’s ability so they were going to give her a free pass and both would test her together.’
They knew she was mainly a creator that had created many of the things around the house, in the academy. They knew about the masterpiece she made during the first festival that we had in the academy.
She even made a few things Eon was using so she was famous as an up and coming star in the artifact creation field.
But, they knew that wasn’t all there was to her powers. So, they wanted to test it themselves.
“They are better than I expected. Even the two of them.”
Chry and Quin were here for the first time but both our presidents knew Lord Luthor and Lady Mime personally due to their positions.
The two of them knew about their abilities, so they weren’t the ones testing them. They had left them with Sam and Quin and Chry so that they could help the two against the povpoi and perhaps one of the best support specialists in the world.
‘Sam… that creature was crazy!’
Not only did it have the ability to practically use Any kind of poison, or debuffs as we can say in a battle scenario, it had the ability to shift the spatial positions of its allies. It had the ability to create clones of its allies that possessed a portion of the abilities of them.
When it came to affinities of the allies, it could boost them simultaneously. It was not limited to just one kind of affinity, he simply gave them an all affinity boost– it wasn’t a significant increase, but a boost in all kinds of affinities was still not something simple.
It was overpowered already, and against the guests of the Heliox, against both Chry and Quin who were a fantastic duo, when teamed up with the Povpoi who were elemental creatures themselves, that one little mouse was proving to be an impossible opponent.
‘Space powers, element enhancement, a strange offensive skill that definitely did not make any sense at all… a skill that got stronger with the amount of people the creature was supporting.’
A skill to help the team fight better, a team that practically connected the rest of the members, and more than one skill that can debuff the opponents.
‘At the end, the thirty three that Chry and Quin were going against… the thirty three that Chry, Quin, Prez, and Del were going against, was in fact equal to a whole damn army.’
And yet, to think the four somehow found balance and established a good teamwork.
‘The way Prez took control was expected, but then, the way Del followed his orders without any questions was something I was not expecting.’
The way Prez used Quin’s natural offensive magic of water attribute and Del’s natural explosive magic together to scare off the young Povpoi was a surprise to us spectators.
The way he gave precise orders to Chry, who possessed a Flash like speed, an unnatural movement ability, and supplemented his own battle techniques to harmonise the rest of abilities that they were using was simply… impeccable.
‘I knew Prez was good ever since we fought against those cultists in Lakmer but he had improved considerably since the last time I saw him fight.’
He was good and strong by himself, but he had improved a lot in the last few months. His ability to command a team, especially, had improved greatly.
The only thing he lacked now, was something that could keep up with his growth speed and supplement his Divine weapon.
‘Eon knew what he needed, but he will keep it to himself until the time is right.’
He wanted to make prez his own, after all.
I know he is going to use all means necessary to bring him under his roof and help him reach higher heights than he might have ever been able to by himself.
