I caught her by the wrist—gently, but firmly enough that she couldn’t retreat—and guided her right through the frosted glass doors.

The lobby was pure serenity: low warm lighting, soft instrumental music filtering through hidden speakers, and the calming aroma of essential oils. I walked right up to the front desk while Chloe hovered half a step behind me, her eyes darting around the luxurious decor in absolute disbelief.

"Welcome," the receptionist said with a polished smile. "How can we help you today?"

"We’ll take the full premium package," I said, tapping my phone against the counter. "Full body massage, deep skin treatment, hydrotherapy, and complete head-to-toe relaxation. For two."

Chloe’s head snapped toward me so fast I thought her neck might crack. Her face flushed bright red, and she tugged hard on the hem of my shirt, leaning in to whisper in a frantic, panicked hiss.

"Are you insane?!" she stammered, her eyes wide behind her glasses as she peeked at the service menu on the counter. "Do you see those prices?! That package is thousands of dollars! Are you absolutely sure about this? You don’t have to throw away money on something so ridiculous!"

I just turned to her, giving her a cool, completely unbothered smirk.

"I told you," I said softly, leaning down to meet her gaze. "Don’t worry about it. Your only job for the next three hours is to close your eyes, forget about your uncle, and let someone else do the heavy lifting."

I swiped the proxy account over the payment terminal before she could protest any further.

The machine chimed softly, and the receptionist’s smile widened as two attendants stepped out from behind a pair of mahogany doors.

"Right this way, sir. Madam," one of the attendants said with a polite bow, gesturing toward the private spa suite.

Chloe stood frozen for a second, looking back and forth between me, the attendant, and the green receipt printing out on the desk, completely speechless as she was ushered into pure luxury.

After changing into soft, plush white robes, we were led into a quiet, dimly lit room with heated plush armchairs. The attendants set down two crystal glasses filled with fresh, chilled fruit infusions—packed with antioxidants and vital nutrients—before quietly beginning the foot hydrotherapy and exfoliation.

Even I had to admit, the experience was next-level. I leaned back into the leather cushion, taking a sip of the drink while feeling months of residual stress melt out of my shoulders.

Beside me, Chloe looked like a deer caught in headlights. She sat bolt upright, holding her glass with both hands like it was made of fragile glass, her toes curling slightly in the warm, scented foot bath.

"How are you liking it?" I asked, turning my head to look at her.

"It’s... nice," she whispered, her voice tight. She shifted uncomfortably in the thick robe, her shoulders still stiff as a board. "It just feels... so sudden. I was literally crying over a research paper in a dusty corner two hours ago, and now I’m sitting in a thousand-dollar robe drinking something that tastes like a luxury tropical island. I feel like I’m going to wake up in five seconds."

"You’re not dreaming," I said smoothly, catching her eye and giving her a calm, reassuring smile. "I’ll be happy if you just let yourself relax. You don’t need to worry about your uncle, your grades, or anything else today. Just focus on enjoying this."

Chloe stared at me for a long moment, the tension in her jaw slowly dissolving. A small, genuine chuckle escaped her lips—the first real smile I had seen on her face.

"You are so weird," she murmured, shaking her head as she finally leaned back into the plush armchair, letting her heavy shoulders drop. "Seriously. Who just kidnaps someone to a spa?"

"A guy who gets results," I replied with a grin.

As she took a sip of her drink and closed her eyes, letting the masseuse work on her legs, the golden system interface flickered subtly in my peripheral vision:

The massage and spa session finished without a single hitch. I changed back into my clothes first, feeling an incredible surge of energy—my muscles were loose, my skin felt clean, and every bit of exhaustion from the past week had vanished.

A few minutes later, the curtain pulled back and Chloe stepped out.

The change was instant and unmistakable. Her skin, usually pale and drained from endless all-nighters, had a warm, healthy glow to it. Her hair was soft and free of the usual messy knot, cascading neatly over her shoulders. Even her posture was different—her spine was straight, her chin up, and the deep, dark circles under her eyes had softened dramatically. She genuinely looked like a completely different person.

She stopped in front of me, adjusting the bridge of her glasses, and met my eyes directly. A soft, radiant, and deeply genuine smile spread across her face.

"Thank you," she said softly, her voice carrying a warmth I hadn’t heard before. "Truly... thank you. I don’t even remember the last time I felt this light."

Looking at her glowing smile, a strange realization washed over me. For the first time since the golden interface appeared, I wasn’t just thinking about the 20x multiplier or the eight hundred thousand dollars waiting at the finish line. Seeing her escape that toxic shadow and stand there looking genuinely happy gave me a deep, unexpected sense of real satisfaction.
