Enzo felt Miya’s grip on his hand tighten as she spoke.

Perhaps she wouldn’t mind even if he put himself in danger, since that was simply part of the path of cultivation.

But playing with fire by getting involved with another woman was an entirely different matter.

Aaron fell silent, unable to say anything more, though he couldn’t hide his pout.

Meanwhile, Luis White and Dilan White had finished visiting the military officials’ table and were now walking toward them.

Miya immediately turned her attention to the two men without letting go of Enzo’s hand.

Dilan White occasionally glanced at Gracie, whom he had slept with twice.

Gracie could no longer keep avoiding his gaze, so she pretended there was nothing unusual between them.

"State your intentions," Miya spoke first in her usual indifferent tone.

"Lady Stanley, your husband took something important from us, and you’re protecting him. We can no longer forcibly reclaim it because you’ve already defeated my master as well. Who would have thought you’d also master a Domain like Old Martin? At this point, you’re practically impossible for anyone in the world to defeat," Luis said.

His words surprised Enzo quite a bit.

Were they here to negotiate?

"Since you know you can’t fight me, why bother saying all this? Have you never robbed anyone yourself? Robbing one another is perfectly normal. When the robber is stronger, you either accept losing your possessions or wait until you’re strong enough to take revenge," Miya replied.

"The Killing Spirit is extremely important to us. My grandfather nearly died obtaining it," Luis answered.

"Ohhh, so are you planning to resort to extreme measures to get the Killing Spirit back?" Miya asked, a faint smile appearing on her face this time.

"No, it won’t be coming back, and you know that. Or are you planning to resort to extreme measures to take revenge instead? How exactly would you do that? By helping Oliver?"

"We could provide Oliver with the resources he needs to create more Giant Zombies. What do you think would happen if dozens of Giant Zombies were specifically assigned to target every member of the Stanley Family?"

"You bastard!"

Aaron immediately stood up and slammed his fist onto the table.

BANG!

The table shattered into pieces in an instant.

"Are you threatening us? How dare you?!" he roared.

As a Giant, Aaron’s roar naturally unsettled the ordinary people nearby. They would have been shaken to their core if the building hadn’t been protected by a formation specifically designed to ensure the safety of those inside from Cultivators.

Everyone exchanged glances and fell silent.

No one could remain calm when two factions like these began to clash.

"Aaron, you’re not in a position to shout at me. Come back when you’ve become a Lord of Earth. That is, if you can even reach that level..." Luis White responded casually to Aaron’s outburst.

He even seemed on the verge of laughing.

Aaron’s expression darkened further.

However, Miya patted his thigh.

Normally, a light pat like that wouldn’t be enough to calm an angry person down. But Miya’s palm contained such terrifying power that even Aaron couldn’t resist it.

He immediately calmed down.

As far as he was concerned, the Killing Spirit couldn’t be returned now that they had obtained it. It was worth defending, even if it meant going to war.

Unfortunately, he didn’t know that Enzo had already refined the Killing Spirit.

Luis turned his attention back to Miya.

"Although we’re weaker than the Main Families, that doesn’t mean we’ll let others bully us so easily," he declared, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

"That’s good. I’d look down on you if you lacked the courage to fight back," Miya replied.

Although her words sounded somewhat complimentary, her gaze was unmistakably contemptuous.

Luis couldn’t hide his anger at that look.

"Miya, one day you’ll choke on your own arrogance," he said.

After saying that, he turned around and walked toward an empty table, one of the ordinary ones.

Because of Aaron’s actions, they were now the ones left without a table.

The Governor scratched his head as he watched the scene unfold.

At that moment, Gracie looked at Miya, wondering what she intended to do about the White Family.

The Stanley Family had always been remarkably stable. Miya’s rise to power had even made the other Main Families avoid conflicts with them. Yet, in such a short time, two different factions had dared to challenge them so openly.

Gracie considered it an unprecedented occurrence.

"Hmm..."

She was startled when Miya returned her gaze.

Somehow, that look immediately made her feel uneasy and uncomfortable.

"I’m sure you’re not done playing with Luis’s younger brother yet," Miya said quietly, her voice low enough for only Gracie to hear.

Gracie’s eyes widened and trembled when she heard that.

She froze, her lips parting slightly.

Eva, who had been standing silently from the beginning, was naturally surprised by the exaggerated expression on her mother’s face.

"That boy also seems to still be very interested in you," Miya added.

This time, even Gracie felt as though her blood had frozen, evident from how pale her skin became.

It took her quite a while to regain her composure and force a smile.

"Lady, what would you like me to do?" she asked.

She wasn’t making small talk. Instead, she got straight to the point because she was certain that was what Miya wanted.

"Do whatever you can," Miya replied briefly.

Gracie pressed her lips together, looking as though she wanted to slap her forehead.

"Lady, Dilan is only a junior who graduated from university last year. He doesn’t have much authority," she said.

"Why don’t you try first? Go to the restroom and bring that boy along. Give him what he wants, then ask him everything you need to know. Don’t you like him very much, too? Do it before Oliver arrives."

Gracie: "..."

With a sigh, the woman reluctantly stood up.

Interestingly, the moment she rose to her feet, Dilan immediately looked in her direction.
