Chapter 85: saying goodbye to Suzy

“Yes i have something i want to try and i can hold him for some time until you can leave” barry said.

Lucius wiped a line of blood from his jaw, his red eyes narrowing “Are you insane, young serpent? Your core pathways have just gone through a forced evolution sacrifice. If we leave you here alone, your will be completely defeat by that demon in less than two minutes. We do not abandon an ally to settle all things by himself.”

“He is right,” the Grand Elder said, his voice shaking with absolute exhaustion but his posture remaining firm. “My alliance guards may be dead, but I still have enough peak spiritual energy to act as a shield. We will stand right here and fight together until the support come.!”

Suzy stepped directly between the two elders, her fingers tightly clutching the fabric of Barry’s black coat sleeve as she stared into his eyes, her voice full of a desperate, furious emotion. “Don’t you dare try to push me away, Barry! We are partners! If you think I am going to step through from your side and leave you behind to die in this fire, you are completely wrong! I am staying right here, and we will fight him together, we can find a way to defeat him!”

” It’s not the time to argue, Suzy,” Barry said, looking at her tear-stained face. “Look at Everyone. If we all stay here and trade strikes with a Calamity-level demon, the entire capital and our kindom that we build and fix will be permanently wiped out before nightfall. Victor and Toby are still waiting at the Oakhaven branch office. If you die here, who is going to manage the village houses and the capital?”

“I don’t care about the ledger or the capital anymore!” Suzy screamed, her tears dropping onto his hand as her grip tightened on his coat. “I only care about you! I am not leaving you!”

Barry turned his head sharply to look at the two sector leaders, his expression turning heavy and authoritative. ‘King Lucius! Elder! You know everything about current situation and you also know that we can’t kill him ! Take her forcefully and clear the venue right now! That is the only way to save the primary assets! Please think carefully and don’t worry about me i have a plan to handle him.’

Lucius looked at the rising smoke, then looked at Barry’s unyielding eyes. He realized that if someone didn’t stay behind to hold Menos back, the demon would simply follow the space transmission line and slaughter everyone on the other side.

‘Haaa! Alright give me few seconds i will try to open the space now, but i can only hold it for few second so try holding menos back in that time ‘

Then lucius use some kind of secret technique to forcefully open a big hole there so they can go through it and then they told all the people come towards it.

“Forgive me, Lady Suzy,” Lucius muttered. He and the Grand Elder stepped forward simultaneously, their combined mid-stage and peak power wrapping around Suzy’s shoulders to forcefully pull her backward away from Barry’s frame.

“No! Let me go! Barry!” Suzy panicked completely, fighting against their grip with all her remaining strength.

Before she could pull away from the elders, Barry stepped directly into her space.

“Suzy”

He reached out both of his hands, his fingers gently but firmly grabbing her head, tilting her face up toward his. Before she could speak another word, he leaned down and pressed his mouth straight onto her red lips, locking her into a deep, intense, and passionate kiss right in the middle of the burning hall.

Suzy froze in absolute shock, her face red ,her eyes widening for a split second as the sudden heat between them exploded. But then, losing herself completely in the touch, she closed her eyes, her smooth arms reaching up to wrap tightly around his neck as she accepted the kiss, her body turning completely warm against his chest as they shared a seductive, desperate embrace amid the falling debris.

Barry pulled back slowly, looking straight into her wet eyes as she panted softly. “I promise you, manager. I will defeat that monster and find my way back to our capital.”

“Noo, You are lying!” Suzy wept nervously, her voice shaking violently as she kept trying to deny his words, her fingers clawing at his coat. “You won’t make it out! Don’t do this to me, Barry! I already losed my family, i don’t want to happen sometimes to you”

A sudden, terrifying roar echoed from the deep crevice below. The black smoke began to part, and Menos’s true demon form started rising out of the lava once more, his four eyes flaring with an even deadlier intent as his stone claws reached for the platform.

Seeing that he had no choices left and the time

were completely out, Barry leaned down and kissed her one more time, a brief, sweet touch on her forehead while Suzy eyes full of tears and her check wet, again there lips almost about to meet then he forcefully threw her body straight backward toward the opening portal.

“Closed this now ” barry screamed.

Lucius’s hands moved in a rapid, intricate pattern, channeling his ancient, mysterious high-level technique to close space hole. He threw Suzy inside along with the remaining kings. “Take care of yourself, young serpent!” Lucius shouted, instantly cutting off the magic channels.

As the purple void began to shrink and close rapidly, Suzy reached her blood-stained hands out through the narrowing hole, her face completely broken and her eyes full of endless tears as she screamed his name through the barrier.

“Nooo, Barry “

Barry stood alone on the burning edge of the platform, a smile showing on his face as I looked at her disappearing figure through the closing light. “Take care of yourself, Suzy.”

The space hole completely closed, vanishing from the room entirely. The moment she was safe, the calm expression left Barry’s features. His body dissolved into a massive flash of golden light, transforming straight back into his seventy-foot supreme snake form, his black diamond scales rippling with peak power as he turned his

jaw around to face the rising demon alone in the dark.
