The moment Suzy’s face disappeared behind the purple boundary light, the calm expression left my face. The system screen flashed rapidly as my supreme serpent form materialized in the center of the hall, my black diamond scales rippling with the pure spiritual energy .

Menos looked down from his true demon form, his eye slits flaring with absolute malice as he let out a guttural shriek. “You think a simple reptile can contain the foreign hell realm?! Wait until i kill you and then i will go for them too and kill them all One by one hahaha!.”

With a sudden wave of his tattered demon wings, the massive spatial rift behind him widened completely. Thousands of blind, hairless foreign hell creatures began to crawl out of the dark opening, screeching loudly as they swarmed down the ground to overwhelm my position.

I did not retreat. I stayed right in the center of the burning hall, holding the entire line completely alone. As the first wave of a hundred hell creatures lunged toward my head, I whipped my

tail across the floor in a massive, ruthless arc.

The pure physical force of my peak scale defense smashed the entire front rank of the swarm into tiny pieces, throwing their broken bodies straight into the walls. More creatures jumped down from the ceiling, biting tightly onto my back, but my new diamond-hard scales didn’t even crack under their teeth, completely blocking their low-tier physical attacks. I opened my massive jaws, unleashing a rapid succession of physical strikes to crush the remaining swarm, completely clearing the hall floor in less than thirty seconds.

“Now it is your turn, demon,” I hissed.

Menos roared, launching his body forward as his stone claws cut through the smoke to strike my neck.

I uncoiled my body like a black lightning bolt, launching my entire body straight into his torso. Before his claws could pierce my throat, I wrapped my massive black coils tightly around his body three times, activating my newly unlocked technique.

[Abyssal Fang Constriction]

The elemental poison and kinetic force clamped down on his leathery hide like metal hoops, freezing his movements instantly. I tightened my grip with all my muscle power, forcefully dragging his thrashing demon form straight down into the deepest, core path of the centermost lava crevice that had split the earth open.

SPLASH!

We plunged deep into the liquid fire beneath the soil, the red lava boiling violently around my scales as I used the extreme terrain layout to trigger a full structural destruction process against his core channels.

Meanwhile, miles away on the northern mountain ridge, the survivors had just arrived through the spatial corridor.

The transmission dropped them onto the rocky soil of a high peak that overlooked the entire central province. The distance was very far, but from this high vantage point, they could see the grand capital city below clearly. It looked like a small, burning circle completely enclosed in black smoke and raging fire.

The moment her diamond heels touched the ground, Suzy didn’t wait for a single second. She turned her body back toward the coordinates of the vanished portal, her stance shaking as she tried to force her energy into the air.

“Barry!” Suzy screamed, her voice breaking with pure panic as she tried to run back down the steep mountain slope. “Let me go back! He is still down there alone in the fire!”

Lucius, the High King of the Python Clan, stepped forward instantly, his large hands reaching out to firmly grab her shoulders to halt her movement. His eyes were serious as he held her back against the wind. “Hold your steps, Are you trying to turn all of his hard-working work into a complete waste? He held him back and sacrificed his own position to hold that demon in the pass so you could escape that alive!”

“Let me go!” Suzy sobbed nervously, fresh tears pouring down her cheeks as she fought against his grip with all her remaining strength. Her dress was torn and covered in Barry’s blood, her entire frame shaking with an agonizing emotion she couldn’t contain. “He cannot handle that monster by himself! We are partners! I am not supposed to leave him behind!”

The Grand Elder of the Manesi Alliance stood right beside them, his torn robes moving in the cold wind as he looked down at the burning metropolis. “The Python King is right, child. The spatial matrix down there is fully fractured. If you go back now, you will only compromise the remaining survival lines.”

Suzy’s body finally stopped fighting against Lucius’s hands. She stood on the edge of the high cliff, the wind moving her hair as she stared at the distant black smoke. But deep inside her mind, her belief in him didn’t break. She remembered the absolute certainty in his eyes and the deep, passionate kiss they had just shared before the portal closed.

“He promised me,” Suzy said, her teeth clenching tightly as her heart racing . “He said he would balance this ledger and find his way back to the office. A guy like him never breaks a contract. He will come back alive.”

Down inside the deepest path of the burning lava crevice, the battle had reached its absolute end.

Menos shrieked with a cataclysmic rage, his four eye slits flaring as he gathered every single drop of his foreign hell realm magic into his stone claws. The heat was completely overwhelming, and my peak scale armor was beginning to melt from the continuous strain, my core energy capacity dropping down .

‘This is the final attack demon,’ I thought, my fangs tightening as I uncoiled my body from the lava for one last, desperate strike.

I opened my giant jaws wide, gathering the absolute maximum of my core power right behind my teeth, while Menos raised his stone claws, gathering a massive sphere of black energy to launch his ultimate cataclysmic attack.

We charged straight toward each other in the center of the liquid fire, delivering all of our remaining power into one single, devastating impact.

BOOM!

The terrifying collision of my peak spiritual energy and his demonic magic created an explosion so massive that it bypassed all structural limits of the province. In less than a second, the entire capital city was turned into a giant, blinding wave of golden and black fire that expanded outward for miles, completely vaporizing the walls, the palace towers, and the streets into a single cloud of dust.

Inside the very center of the blinding blast, Menos’s demonic frame began to disintegrate under the force of the strike, his final, mocking laugh echoing through the smoke as his body disappeared into the void. My snake form shattered apart from the sheer impact, my body snapping back into my human clothes as my skin began to turn into ashes under the extreme heat, my vision going totally black as my life signs going down.

But right before my human body could turn into permanent dust inside the explosion, the scene around my consciousness suddenly froze completely my mind going blank and my eyes closing.

Then —

In dark, a completely hidden place a mysterious man in a dark robe was sitting calmly on a ancient throne. His face was hidden in the shadows, his hands resting casually over his mouth .

The man did not say a single word. He simply moved his right hand, his finger gently tapping on the armrest of his ancient throne with a calm, unhurried rhythm.

Flash.

The moment his finger touched the throne, my dying human body vanished from the center of the capital explosion instantly, pulled out of the timeline completely by an untrackable, supreme power that even my own system interface could not register on the screen.

…

Miles away on the northern mountain, the survivors stood in absolute, breathless horror.

The explosion from the central plains was so incredibly large that it lit up the entire sky, the massive wave of the impact rolling across the distant valleys like a golden wall of fire. The noise of the detonation didn’t reach their ears until seconds later, a rumbling thud that shook the the mountain ridge beneath their legs.

Suzy stood perfectly still on the edge of the cliff, her black eyes turning completely dark as she saw the massive destruction consuming the entire capital city layout.

Thump.

Her knees gave out completely, and she sat onto the hard ground, her hands dropping loosely into the ground as her posture collapsed into total despair. Every single piece of hope vanished from her face as she stared at the empty, smoking wasteland where the metropolis used to stand. Endless tears poured down her pale cheeks, her breath coming in short, ragged gasps as she looked at the destruction.

The grand central marketplace, the supreme royal treasury, and the man who had promised to balance the ledger were all gone, leaving nothing but an ocean of ash stretching out across the horizon under the sky.
