The numbness from the potion was beginning to thin out across Barry’s chest, leaving a throbbing ache near his heart pathways. He lay against the cracked stone tiles of the high platform, his head resting across Suzy’s lap. The deep wound was still dripping blood onto her clothes, staining the delicate silk fabric.

Suzy pressed both of her hands against the opening in his chest, trying desperately to stop the bleeding. Her palms were completely covered in his warm blood, her fingers shaking uncontrollably.

“Barry, keep your eyes open!” Suzy sobbed nervously, her voice panic that she could not hide.

“Wipe your tears, queen” Barry whispered weakly, his human voice sounding very slow and low in the middle of the roaring flames. “The company assets are still functional.”

“No, i am not a queen , don’t want to be a queen anymore, i just want to stay by your side forever ” Suzy said while crying.

Right across the high stage, the grand assembly hall had turned into a brutal, ruthless war zone. The Grand Elder of the Manesi Capital Alliance and Lucius, the High King of the Python Clan, were trading massive magic blasts with Menos. The dark-armored leader was fighting them off with a terrifying, absolute power, his battleaxe swinging in a lethal circle that cut through the smoky air.

Lucius and the Grand Elder combined their peak powers once more, throwing their ultimate techniques toward the demon, but Menos simply swiped his wings, the black energy waves effortlessly shattering their magic barriers and sending both leaders crashing into the burning wall.

The golden light flashed, and he used his thoughts to maintain his human form for just a few moments longer, even though his muscles were still incredibly weak.

He turned around to face the Grand Elder and Lucius, who were standing up from the rubble, their clothes torn and their breath coming in ragged gasps. Suzy stood up quickly right alongside the two elders, her hand gripping her

weapon tightly as she positioned herself directly in the defensive line with them, her face full of absolute determination to fight by his side.

“Elder, Lucius, listen to me right now,” Barry said, his voice deep and calm despite the roaring lava crevice behind them. “The isolation barrier is broken, but Menos’s power density is growing too fast. The normal exit are fully compromised. You need to make a exit, and take and evacuate every single remaining king from this capital immediately.”
