Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items
Chapter 397: Total Domination
Soldiers of the Ifrits and the Sand Spirits stared into the sky, frozen where they stood.
The ancient races had done their best, conquering region after region, attacking in coordinated, conflicting fronts all at once.
Slowly snaring the humans into a corner, they had the humans surrounded, while they, the Sand Spirits and the Ifrits, gathered here.
The Aquarbu and the Jinn stormed from the sea...
They had deemed the war as good as won, at least they would have crossed the first hurdle to hegemony.
Conquering the human race, then the true war of hegemony could begin among themselves, superior beings worthy of the title.
But then what was this?
This wasn’t in their calculations! How the fuck could a human be so mighty and... and so big?
The two could barely ponder this question properly when all of a sudden, a blast of jade green swallowed the sky.
A force ripped down upon them, a violent current of winds raging in the air, slicing through the Sand Spirits like pieces of meat stuffed in a blender.
A wall of sand rose like a wave across the horizon, swallowing the entire sky in a blink.
Just one attack!
Just one strike from that oversized human had already dealt such damage, what sort of human was this?
The Ifrit supreme leader observed the carnage left in the wake of Emperor Gilgamesh.
The entire area had been leveled to the ground, bloody splats littering it, the remains of the Ifrit soldiers.
Men who were made from the first embers of the flames of vitality, reduced to mush without being able to resist at all.
They’ve never perceived one so strong...
The earth rumbled, and his vision was now clouded with dense dust and sand hanging in the atmosphere.
But the looming shadows of massive frames steadily growing bigger and darker overhead told them what they needed to know.
The humans were here, bigger and stronger than they had ever been.
Lights rippled and gleamed in the cloudy brown haze of sand and dust.
The wind howled, as large shadows flickered from all sides, the dry, sandy, crusted earth beneath their feet rattling as the humans loomed closer.
Charging straight through the ranks of the Ifrits and the Sand Spirits, slaughtering wherever their blades reached.
It was a horrifying sight, the non-humans’ limbs locked and trembling, the futility of their existence settling over them.
As the shadow of death loomed over them all, smashing, slicing, gnashing, the means were never expended by the human race.
With their insane reach, coupled with the might that came with their size, they were several degrees stronger than the average human evolver, with physical might alone.
The non-humans stood no chance and they knew this...
They couldn’t resist, and could only die...
The supreme leaders of the Ifrits and the Sand Spirits, caught in the clash of war, were slaughtered by mere regular human soldiers.
The raw power wielded by the humans proving to be far more than the enemy could even fathom.
...
At the eastern front of the northern region, the plateau of land opened to the sea.
The blue waters of the ocean, rippled with tidal waves, the murky depths slowly beginning to bubble as frame after frame rose out of the dark.
Scaled beings, coated with reflective colorful scales that glinted almost like the rare metals of the earth.
Eyes dark as the night, the Aquarbu rallied, rising with the waves in numbers.
Soldiers clad in sea armour, weapons carved from the bones of sea creatures and plagues of the corrupted shone sharp.
The wild air around the rising army was brewing strong, like a storm.
A fierce figure, having a mouth so large and wide it bordered on unnatural, its lips thin, leaving the ridged row of ivory teeth glinting in full display.
Its gills rippled as its respiratory system adjusted to taking in oxygen.
Its mouth parted and an eerie voice, almost like glass shards scraping against stone, rang out in an ancient unknown dialect.
"We are here!" it declared, its frame rising more from the water, the fin at its back now fully visible.
It stared over the empty rocky shore high up, as its claws coiled into fists.
"The Ifrits and the Sand Spirits should be in place by now, remember to stick to the plan, I don’t wish to witness conflict with the Jinn until the humans are all eradicated."
The army behind it hummed in response, their tone carrying readiness for violence and yet subservience for their leader.
Far above the shore, on land, entities with deep, nightmare-purple skin rose from the darkness of the shadows.
Their lower halves being nothing but a formless, drifting, misty mass of darkness.
Their eyes glowing a bright shade of crimson, growling with a feral air, a Jinn several times larger than the rest rose.
As more gathered from the darkness, their upper halves clad in mithril armour, tier 1 metals that boasted insanely high levels of defence.
Unlike the Ifrits and the Sand Spirits, the Jinn and the Aquarbu armies couldn’t attack as one due to the drastic difference in biology.
Plus the Jinn were a special race, consisting of a total of 6,009 members exactly, and each and every one of them was a warrior.
They might have insanely low fertility rates but their might was second to none.
It was said that they were one of the greatest warrior races on earth.
With physical might and mystical means beyond what most could handle.
Though their numbers lacked, the Jinn believed they were more than enough to deal with the humans.
So they were the vanguard of the force pushing the assault while the Aquarbu soldiers bolstered their force from behind.
Once they climbed ashore the humans would be in for the worst surprise of their lives.
"I wonder what expressions they would make as I slaughter them," the Jinn patriarch thought, wearing a savage smile on its lips.
The Jinn raised a clawed hand, just about to give the signal to march, when it sensed something off.
A trace of essence infiltrated the atmosphere, boring through space itself.
The undulation was so faint that only the absurdly perceptive would have been able to get a whiff of it.
The Jinn barely had time to deduce what was happening when all of a sudden, from nowhere, spinning sparks bored through reality.
Sputtering to life randomly, forming warp gates undulating with fierce spatial currents.
Warp gates that stabilized before anyone could do anything about it, huge shadows looming through the spatial tunnel.
Gilgamesh was a man of simple devices, once he had a means to achieve a goal, he expended it to the utmost limits.
He had a bare minimum of tolerance for accidents and hiccups.
Which was why when he gave the orders for genetically altered soldiers to be made, he played things safe and created an elite battalion of colossi numbering a total of 100,000 men!
The ones engaging the Ifrits and Sand Spirits were merely a huge portion of the army.
But they still had many more where those came from!
Suddenly a rattling quake shook the earth, the Jinn entering a state of alert, watching as towering men clad in steel armour marched right out of the space tunnel in hordes.
The leader of the Jinn race frowned hard...
The leader of the Aquarbu race scowled...
"This... something is very wrong," they both muttered, their voices overlapping...
