Infinite Evolution: Dominating The Apocalypse With My God Tier Items
Chapter 295: Wrath Of The Divine
A trail of heavy quaking explosions arced through the horizon as a figure propelled through the air.
The massive commotion drawing the attention of the dragon forces, as clearly whatever was causing this disturbance was heading straight their way.
Deep at the heart of the dragon forces, lying before a grand temple of gold, lay a familiar-looking dragon with scales of gold crimson, its massive eyes piercing through the veil of reality to see Seth.
’To think the intruder had zero grasp over flame energy...’ its massive golden pupils flickered with doubt.
’Wait, could it be that I overreacted?’ it questioned its decision on concentrating the dragon forces here, instead of sending them to protect other vital regions.
"No, even so we can’t allow any disruptions!" Its eyes glowed with a light of fervent determination.
They were so close to accomplishing the dream of every flame dragon that ever lived on the planet.
They were so close to uniting with the genesis flame, and recovering their true lineage, shedding all impurities and becoming what they were always meant to be.
Ruling the skies, not as flame dragons, but as true gold dragons incarnate in the sun!
They were so close, all the elder dragons and great dragons all sacrificed their lives, refined their blood and used their souls as fuel to claim this opportunity for them.
The flame dragon race was at a critical, fate-defining juncture, they were at their most vulnerable state, and just at this critical moment intruders decided to attack.
Was this fate testing them? They were about to claim a power that would instantly make them the overlords of earth.
The world quest? It would be cleared within days, the other races? The human race?
They would barely be able to pose any resistance at all.
Hence why the dragons were willing to sacrifice all to protect this core zone.
Unlike what Seth imagined, aside from the great dragon guard Inferno, there weren’t any other flame dragons above the awakened rank in existence.
Even in the pocket dimension, all flame dragons of great power aside from Inferno, who was tasked to protect the Genesis Nest, were dead!
They had sacrificed themselves to set a spark to begin a ritual that would purify their bloodline.
This was the Dragons’ trump card, and their assurance of gaining the hegemony title, even though they weren’t enlightened lifeforms.
Once they purified their bloodline, they’d rid themselves of their beastly side, and become a race superior to all the others.
And coincidentally, it just so happened that the humans chose the flame dragons specifically as the targets of their first mission.
Which led to the humans stumbling into the dragon forces while it was at its most vulnerable state, before they could fully mature into a threat beyond their control.
The vast fortune of the human race, and Seth especially, also fell into play as an unknowingly pleasant coincidence.
Explosions rocked the sky, dragons gliding at similar altitudes observing from a distance as the explosion trailed closer.
From within the thick cloud of black smoke and toxic air and sparks, a brilliant glow simmered, as a cold wave washed across every creature within the island.
A divine presence seeping into the atmosphere, one unfamiliar yet stifling.
A presence incomprehensible, and beyond what their imagination could even conceive.
The dragons felt a shadow loom in their hearts as the brilliant glare tore through the cloud of smoke, and illuminated the crimson red plains white as a presence bloomed.
The crimson-gold-scaled dragon’s heart shook with fear, its heart palpitating as a force beyond its comprehension stirred.
What was it witnessing?
They were this close to greatness, so who the fuck was this foe?
What if their enemies were this powerful?
For the first time, the flame dragon king heir felt extreme visceral fear spread through its veins.
A feeling of hopelessness taking a grip of its heart, it could only shiver at the presence of the unknown divine energy.
In the sky, Seth’s frame soared through the wind, his eyes glowing with a brilliant glare of pure white.
His veins bulged transparent as his blood flow glowed like molten streams flowing through his body.
A familiar presence took hold as his essence was reshaped into a new force, as a glowing bow manifested into his grasp.
Waves of solar glare spilled off its golden frame, coiling up and down its upper and lower limb.
The bowstring flickering faintly, as it was thinner than a strand of hair yet held so much tension together.
His soles glowed, as divine energy rippled reshaping reality, and allowing him to take a steady footing in the sky.
His abrupt halt caused a quake of winds and clearing explosions that finally revealed his godly silhouette to his enemies.
The dragons were shocked that the one that was bringing so much terror to their hearts was clearly human.
So what was this terrifying force the human wielded?
Seth’s fingers pinched at the bowstring’s nocking point, powerful flows of transcendent solar essence coiled round his grasp.
As he pulled, a glowing illumination took the form of a divine arrow.
Seth’s movements were slow and deliberate, yet were seamless and fluid.
His muscles and tendons torqued, drawing taut as he drew on the string to the limit of his might.
The glow of solar essence congealed, as the divine essence flowed in delicate streams.
The divine weapon Solaris Arc glimmered in full glory, its resplendent glow bathing the entire plane.
Its wielder’s lips moved ever so slightly as he muttered underneath his breath, "Aurora’s Fury!"
The call was faint, but the reply was cataclysmic, the bow burst with a brighter, more furious glare of light.
His tendons snapped as he released the glowing projectile to burst through the horizon. Swallowing distance like it barely existed.
The glow morphed, the sky covered in an illusion of a meteor shower cascading down, the arrow blending into the mirage.
Turning false to real, as the divine bombardment rained down on the dragons.
Scaled wings arced as the dragons tried to shield their frames, but the strikes reduced their pathetic defense to pulp.
Pained howls filled the sky, as the attack descended like the end of the world, the collisions with the dragons bursting into reality deforming explosions.
That cleared the regions it swallowed whole, the dragons unable to even resist, neither their scales, claws or flame breath could deliver them from the wrath of the divine.
The units staring at the raging cataclysm in awe, this was the cue they were waiting for.
It was time to strike while the iron was still hot.
