Dragons, in large numbers, a few gliding above in the sky, while the rest littered the earth in organized orders.

Glowing eyes constantly scanning their fiery surroundings, the more Seth observed the darker his expression became.

Hiding within a large flaming shrub, standing at the border of the flame forest’s end.

Beyond this region would be their target, the core zone highlighted in the radar scan.

Seth spied on the dragon forces as he wondered how they knew to protect this region, once intruders were detected weren’t these dragons supposed to track the intruders and face them off?

This was the reaction Seth had prepared for, it was the basis of the reason he decided to split his division into smaller units.

Scattering them, so the enemy would have a harder time tracking them all at once.

But now the fact that the division was split seemed to be more of a disadvantage than the advantage he had anticipated.

But it also made Seth wonder, such a move of protecting the core didn’t seem too much of an abnormal reaction.

But it was — protecting the core meant the enemy was sure that this was what the intruders were after.

After all this was the Dragons’ Genesis Nest, aside from the core, there had to be other special regions, treasures and resources vital to the dragons.

Valuable things that should also warrant their attention yet they were so focused on protecting the core.

Other divisions were above on the surface, causing mayhem everywhere they went, annihilating dragons in troves, yet the dragons still focused all their forces on protecting this core.

This means either of two conclusions had to be the case.

One, there was a traitor among the human side, someone with such high authority that they knew about the seven sword divisions.

Or two, there was something else the humans didn’t account for in play, something so valuable the dragons were ready to ignore everything else, and focus on protecting it.

Peering from within the shrubs, Seth’s eyes glinted, a hint of greed stirring...

How valuable could whatever they were protecting be? It had to have an insane value or importance to the race at least right?

Seth licked his lips as he silently retreated back into the flaming foliage, his frame cloaked under a dark piece of shadow flame lizard.

Seth had skinned one of the corpses, for extra boosts in presence masking, he couldn’t afford for the dragons to find them first.

The element of surprise was the only thing right now that they could use to change fate to their favour.

And he wasn’t ready to lose it yet.

And though the material was still in a rather raw state, it still helped significantly in cloaking his presence.

Despite being unrefined, it had such strong capabilities, Seth couldn’t be more satisfied with his decision to take the shadow flame lizard’s corpse.

It really was filled with treasures, flashing from branch to branch, in no time he had caught sight of all 20 of his soldiers still awaiting his return.

Landing in their midst, the gaze of all 20 evolvers lit up.

Seth had already warned all other units of this danger lying in wait at the core, hoping to reunite the division at this stage would be a hopeless move, and might only expose them sooner.

So Seth could only settle for the next best option, having all seven units launch an attack at once.

Each unit consisting of a 20-strong bronze human team, though the numbers weren’t on their side, the scale of this attack should at least provide enough opening for at least one person among them, preferably him, to penetrate into the dragon’s ranks.

So he didn’t waste time after giving his team a briefing on the next plan of action.

He immediately sent a broadcast to the rest of the division one members.

The info carried crucial details of their situation, and the next orders to follow, with an imprinted minimap highlighting each side a unit had to take hold of.

Their attack couldn’t be random and disorganised, they had to plan everything to perfection, angles of attack, mode of attack and the timing.

All these Seth had already formulated accordingly, after this was done, all that was left was to wait for feedback from the other six units to alert him on when they were in position.

Now left with nothing to do, but to wait and scout, Seth left the scouting to his soldiers this time while he fully focused on recovering all spent essence, or at least recovering as much as he could.

A battle of this scale would be different from what they had handled so far, this time the enemy numbers bordered on the hundreds from what he estimated.

Hundreds of dragons, several times stronger than the bunch they had dealt with outside the island, carrying a might that bordered on the very limits of the awakened rank.

Facing such foes Seth wouldn’t dare engage in a battle without resolving to expend all means in his arsenal to win.

Focusing his all on recovery, Seth closed his eyes sitting in a lotus position, he slowly absorbed the essence flow in the air, filtering it to be element-free before absorbing it into his own energy pool.

While time flowed on, seconds yielded into minutes but before the minutes could yield an hour...

Buzzz! Buzzz!

His helm vibrated, as feedback dropped, a message from the last unit, relaying that they were in position.

Seth’s eyes snapped open, he rose to his feet, and stared towards the direction of their destination.

The moment had come, and once more he recalculated his chances and possible strategies he could employ.

And still he arrived at the same conclusion, he either waited things out and saw, or he launched an attack now.

But the problem was that waiting was risky, each second wasted increased their chances of being discovered.

Even if Seth could handle his unit and make sure they weren’t discovered, he couldn’t say the same for the other six.

Launching an assault now was the right method, honestly he wished the other units were nearby so that he could bestow them with some more quality origin weapons and items.

Stuff that would boost their chances of survival, but since he couldn’t possibly do that now, he only armed the twenty soldiers following him.

Granting them weapons and items that had long become useless for him, he even lent his astral boots and a few other powerful items.

As well as enough stashes of essence crystals, they couldn’t use the crystals for recovery because once it came into contact with the air of their location it would instantly combust.

So the use of the essence crystals had been reduced to being only currently useful as gadget fuel.

With a direct link to their armour, they could actually channel essence crystals directly into their armour as fuel without having to summon it.

Seth took his time in getting ready, scanning the status of his genetic battle suit, preparing for confrontation.

When he was finally confident that everything was in its peak state, he established a real-time direct communication with the other six captains from team alpha.

The radio transmission cracked and then his voice echoed through the transmission.

"Are you guys ready? Delaying our attack will be better than launching an unorganised assault." Seth stressed.

He preferred waiting for a bit to something going wrong during their assault.

This moment could only be seized once, and Seth was planning to make the most of this opportunity.

His eyes glowed with a dark gloomy flicker, while the six all replied positively.

They were all in perfect state, and ready to launch an attack.

Thanks to Seth’s early warning, the units had been more careful and stealthy, and they never tried to provoke any dragon horde they came across.

Hence why they were all still in a perfect condition.

Seth nodded grimly, and then in a tense tone he informed, "I will take the lead, so you seven will wait for my cue before attacking."

He spoke to all of them, including the unit captain currently with him.

"Boss you are not going with us?" The captain beside him asked.

"Boss, how are we to know when you have struck?" Another asked at the same moment.

Two questions coming his way at once, and Seth gave a reply to both.

"No, on this attack your mission is to kill as many dragons as possible, and all soldiers must prioritise survival as well."

The captain understood instantly, from their ends they could already guess that they’d be the cover while Seth penetrated their forces to plant the bomb.

Pausing for a bit he continued, "as for how you will know when it attacks, trust me with the scale of damage I’m planning to inflict, it will be impossible for you all not to see."

If all captains were nearby they would have glanced at Seth in shock, for him to be so confident, that his attack effect would be visible even on their end despite how far apart they all were.

But in the end no one objected, and silently registered their orders, before giving Seth affirmation then hopping off the transmission.

Seth massaged his neck, as he glanced at the unit captain beside him, "you know what to do?" He asked.

And the captain affirmed with a solemn nod, Seth nodded back, giving the other nineteen one last glance he took to the sky, catapulting himself into the distance.

The hot wind crashed against his armour, sparks dancing in the air budding into thunderous explosions.

All while in his grasp a glare of brilliant gold simmered, force embodiment activated, Seth’s eyes glowed a shade of brilliant white, as his essence bubbled and morphed into an ancient primal force.

Divine energy....
