I'm Trapped in the Block
Chapter 448 - 445: Glass Sculpture
Chapter 448: Chapter 445: Glass Sculpture
’I’ve actually turned into a glass sculpture?’
The sculpture stood there quietly, completely motionless.
Only when Mo Ling had the Little Elf adjust its position would the sculpture move.
Mo Ling quickly told the Little Elf about his discovery.
"You must have entered a simulation," the Little Elf guessed. "You’re probably role-playing as a certain race right now."
Hearing the Little Elf’s words, Mo Ling calmed down.
He recalled his previous simulation experiences, where he would also transform into other races and live out their lives.
"Looks like you’ve become a vessel again..." the Little Elf said helplessly.
"My physical body isn’t even here. How can I be used as a vessel?" Mo Ling was very surprised.
The Little Elf pondered for a moment before explaining, "Normally, that shouldn’t happen. I suspect it’s because you are now also a god of the Sea of Creation, which means you’re connected to the entire Sea of Creation. That’s why you were chosen as a vessel remotely."
’It can even work like that?’
Mo Ling didn’t understand the operating principles of the Sea of Creation and was simply taken aback.
"Can you see my companions from your side?"
The most important thing right now was to find Li Luo and the Lego Bird and rescue them.
"I can’t see them, but I know where they are."
As the Little Elf spoke, it changed the perspective, flying toward a mirrored surface.
On Mo Ling’s end, he watched the glass sculpture within the mirror fly toward him, getting closer and closer, until it finally collided with him.
The expected sensation of impact never came. Mo Ling passed directly through the mirror and arrived in another hollow, mirrored space.
As soon as he arrived, Mo Ling began to observe his surroundings.
’A cylinder...’
Within the mirror, there was still a glass sculpture, quietly watching him.
Just as Mo Ling was observing, he suddenly heard a buzzing sound, like vibrating glass.
"Who are you? Why have you come to my world?"
’Who’s that?’ Mo Ling quickly looked toward the source of the voice and discovered it was coming from the top of the cylinder. A lifelike rabbit sculpture was perched on the corner of the cylinder’s edge, watching him warily.
The sound of vibrating glass hadn’t faded, and Mo Ling suddenly had a feeling:
’I can resonate with this vibration.’
Mo Ling didn’t want to miss any chance to communicate, so he quickly followed the sound and began to resonate with it.
The surface of the glass man sculpture in the mirror began to vibrate slightly, emitting the same sound as the rabbit.
"This is your world?"
’It works. We can communicate.’
"Yes, this entire space is my world. Where did you come from?" the rabbit in the corner replied.
It seemed very concerned about where Mo Ling had come from.
"I came from another space. That one was a cube," Mo Ling replied.
The sound of vibrating glass continued unabated, echoing within the space.
But the Little Elf couldn’t hear it at all and asked curiously, "Did you find something else?"
"I’ve found a creature in this simulated world, and I’m communicating with it..."
Mo Ling multitasked, describing the scene to the Little Elf while controlling the glass sculpture to converse with the rabbit.
"You’re from another world? How did you do that?" The rabbit was astounded to hear that Mo Ling had come from another space. It jumped straight down from the edge of the cylinder, sidled up to Mo Ling, and began circling him.
"I... just passed straight through."
"Passed through?"
The rabbit was amazed, and then it suddenly hugged Mo Ling’s leg.
"Take me with you!"
"Huh?" Mo Ling was startled by the rabbit’s strange behavior and almost teleported away. Thankfully, he managed to calm himself in time.
"Why do you want me to take you with me?" Mo Ling asked curiously.
"Because it’s so boring..."
The rabbit had clearly been lonely for too long. It began pouring its heart out to Mo Ling, complaining endlessly...
And so, Mo Ling learned about its past.
「...」
It turned out the rabbit had been trapped in this cylindrical space since its creation.
This cylindrical space was its entire world.
It had no companions. The only entities it could interact with were the reflections on the other side of the mirror.
Whatever the rabbit did, the reflections would do the same.
After realizing this, the rabbit proclaimed itself the god of the cylinder world.
The reflections were its subjects.
At first, the rabbit tirelessly led its subjects in all sorts of activities. It enjoyed the feeling of being admired; all the reflections imitated it, which made it feel very proud and satisfied.
However, as time went on, the rabbit slowly realized that its subjects were incredibly dull. They couldn’t do anything on their own and would only rigidly copy its every move.
Thus, the rabbit grew increasingly lonely, and this cylinder world became more and more boring.
The rabbit wanted to break the mirrors and go somewhere else. It no longer wanted to be trapped within this limited space. But no matter how hard it tried, it couldn’t shatter the hard mirrored surfaces.
Not only that, but it also worried that if it left, its dull-witted subjects would fall completely silent without anyone to imitate.
So, it could only remain in this uninteresting world, continuing to act as a god, ruling over these foolish "subjects."
The desire for freedom and the responsibilities of a god tormented the rabbit simultaneously, leaving it deeply conflicted.
"I don’t want to be a god anymore, it’s so boring..." the rabbit lamented, pitifully hugging Mo Ling’s leg.
Mo Ling looked around and explained helplessly, "Those aren’t subjects. They’re all fake."
"Fake?" The rabbit was a little confused.
"Yes..."
Mo Ling hesitated for a moment but decided to tell the rabbit the truth.
"You’re not some kind of god, and they aren’t imitating you. It’s just a property of mirrors..."
Mo Ling went to great lengths to explain the principle of mirror reflection.
The rabbit, having learned the truth, clung to Mo Ling’s leg for a long time before it finally processed everything.
"I’m not a god?"
"No."
"My subjects are all fake?"
"Fake."
Mo Ling was a bit worried the rabbit wouldn’t be able to handle such a blow.
But to his surprise, the rabbit was incredibly relieved.
"Then I can rest easy. If that’s the case, I can leave without any worries."
It hugged Mo Ling’s leg tightly again, pleading, "Take me with you!"
Mo Ling was taken aback for a second, then replied, "I can’t take you back to my world, but I can try to take you somewhere else. I need to find my companions."
"Of course! Anywhere is fine! I can help you look for them!" Seeing that Mo Ling had agreed, the rabbit accepted immediately, regardless of the conditions.
Seeing the rabbit pestering him so relentlessly, Mo Ling was speechless.
"Let’s go. On to the next place," Mo Ling said to the Little Elf.
He was also quite curious whether the rabbit clinging to his leg could pass through the mirror with him.
The glass sculpture approached the mirror again, and the rabbit held on to its leg for dear life.
Another transit. Just like before, the sculpture passed effortlessly through the mirror once more, arriving in another mirrored space.
After passing through the mirror, the first thing Mo Ling did was look at the surrounding mirrors.
Within the mirrors, a crystal-clear glass rabbit was hugging the sculpture’s leg, creating a rather strange sight.
"We made it," Mo Ling said, prompting the rabbit.
"We made it?" The rabbit lifted its head, which had been buried, and looked around, growing more and more excited.
"Hooray! I’ve transcended!"
