Chapter 392: Chapter 389: Stiff Stones

Just as Mo Ling was still wondering why he had suddenly passed through the mirror’s surface, the scene before him plunged him into shock.

He watched as the Lego Man and Li Luo, who had been on the other side, suddenly fell through the thin barrier as if plunging into water, arriving on this side of the mirror.

"We’re in!" the head shouted excitedly. "This is what it means to be transcendent! Nothing can stop a transcendent’s advance, not even a god’s seal! A transcendent goes wherever they please! HAHAHAHA!"

"Transcendent! What do you want to do? Do you want to kill the god here? I’ll help you! With just a slight move from me, the petrified stones and the god here will turn to dust! They’ll become silt in the Sea of Creation!"

The head directed its grand, heroic speech at the Block, only to be forcefully stuffed back inside by the large Lego Man.

"You can stop me from speaking! But you can’t stop my thoughts! Thoughts are limitless!"

The head’s voice slowly faded. The Lego Man sat on the ground, taking a long moment to recover.

He gave the Block in the air a meaningful look, then turned to Li Luo. "My apologies. Please don’t pay any attention to that Madman. Just let everything he says go in one ear and out the other."

Li Luo, however, remained quite calm, observing her surroundings.

She raised a hand, trying to catch one of the wandering glass-like creatures, but they deftly dodged her.

"Are we inside the mirror?" she asked, a little uncertain herself.

"This is a Divine Sacrifice Site," the Lego Man replied. "You can think of it as a mirror, if you like, but it isn’t one."

"Not a mirror? Then what is it?" Li Luo pressed.

The Lego Man thought for a moment, then had a flash of inspiration.

"A television! The kind you showed us during our previous trade."

"The entire Sea of Creation is like a giant television screen. You can see images from all the different Divine Sacrifice Sites on it, like they’re all on different channels."

"The Sea of Creation receives signals from these places and converts them into images displayed on the mirror’s surface. Different channels have different signals, representing different Divine Sacrifice Sites."

"But if you were to break the mirror surface, you’d find only crystal underneath, nothing more. The screen only shows images of an unknown space; it doesn’t actually exist."

Li Luo listened, growing even more confused.

"If it’s just a screen, then why were we able to pass through it?"

Hearing Li Luo’s question, the Lego Man spread his hands.

"You’ll have to ask the transcendent what it was thinking. Why did it bring us here? Normally, you can only reach the corresponding Divine Sacrifice Site if you’re carrying a divine artifact. But the transcendent brought us straight in."

As he spoke, he looked toward the Block again, lost in thought.

Inside the Block, Mo Ling was just as baffled as he listened.

’I brought them here?’

Mo Ling couldn’t remember doing anything at all.

He had just been thinking about getting a little closer to the Divine Altar so he could see it more clearly.

’Could I have brought them into the Divine Sacrifice Site just by thinking about it?’

Mo Ling didn’t think the Block had that kind of power.

The idea of "entering a television screen" was simply too absurd.

While Mo Ling was still puzzling over this, the Lego Man walked directly under the Block and began to speak to it.

"Transcendent, what did you bring us in here to do?"

The Lego Man asked earnestly.

’How should I know what to do?’ Mo Ling retorted inside the Block, but of course, the Lego Man outside couldn’t hear a thing.

The Lego Man stood there waiting for a moment. When the Block gave no response, he turned back to Li Luo and said with immense gravity:

"The transcendent said nothing."

...

Li Luo was stunned.

’I know it said nothing...’

And so, the two of them stood on the boundless mirrored surface, staring at each other blankly.

Li Luo wanted to communicate properly with the Block, but with the Lego Man present, she could only pretend to know nothing.

Just then, the head secretly poked out again.

"The transcendent definitely wants to go on a rampage! What other reason is there to barge into someone else’s Divine Sacrifice Site if not to fight? Those petrified stones have already started their attack! Hurry up and fight back! Take out those relics of yours and shove them in their faces! If you can’t even beat a bunch of rocks, I’ll look down on you for the rest of my life!"

"’Started their attack?’" The Lego Man ignored the head’s instigation, catching the key point in its words.

"Idiot! You’ve broken into someone else’s Divine Sacrifice Site and you’re still asking things like that? Haven’t you noticed your own blocks starting to harden? In a little while, you’ll be turned to stone by them!"

"Those petrified stones don’t allow anything that moves to exist. That’s their rule. Look under that Divine Altar. Do you see anything?"

Hearing the head’s words, the Lego Man looked toward the space beneath the Divine Altar.

Soon, he noticed something was wrong.

The transparent, glass-like creatures were deliberately avoiding the area beneath the Divine Altar, as if steering clear of some danger.

"See! That’s why I said you’re an idiot! You’ve been in the Sea of Creation for so long and you haven’t even memorized the rules of other races. I really don’t know what you’ve been doing. If it weren’t for me, you’d be long dead!"

Listening to the head, Li Luo was also reminded of one of the warnings from the ship: "Do not linger under stone blocks..."

Since there hadn’t been any stones on the ship, Li Luo hadn’t understood why such a strange warning was necessary, which was precisely why she remembered it so vividly.

Right now, none of them were under any stone blocks, but according to the head, the petrified stones had already launched their attack.

’Turning to stone?’

Li Luo pinched her arm and found that it had indeed hardened quite a bit.

Meanwhile, after hearing the head’s words, the Lego Man instantly grew tense. The blocks on his body shifted.

"I’ll go deal with them. Don’t be afraid," he said directly to Li Luo.

"That’s right! Don’t be indecisive! Kill when you have to kill!"

The Lego Man ignored the head. His blocks shifted again, beginning to reassemble.

He leaped into the air, transforming into a giant Lego Bird, and flew toward the Divine Altar.

The Lego Bird was incredibly fast, reaching the side of the petrified stones in no time.

However, as it drew closer, the Lego Bird’s speed began to slow.

"You have to block their perception! Don’t be so reckless!" the head commanded.

"I know." The blocks on the Lego Bird’s body shifted constantly. The relics within its body were enveloped by the blocks and floated to the surface.

A relic that looked like an eyeball was rolled to the bird’s head.

"Help me pay the price."

Following this sentence, a gaunt, blocky arm suddenly shot out from the swirling mass of blocks, plunged viciously into the Lego Bird’s eye, and forcibly gouged it out.

"Sight’s End."

The gouged-out block-eye suddenly swelled, transforming into a plume of black smoke that billowed toward the petrified stones, enveloping them completely.

After the black smoke had completely blinded the petrified stones, the Lego Bird’s stiff movements suddenly became fluid again.

"It worked."

"Don’t stop! Press the advantage!"
